just what we ordered!

heavier duty than previous ones I have bought but some still lift up and stay up when windy

the screen lets All the Water Through it but keeps out the leaves etc. It can be lifted to clean out the gutter underneath. Others don't permit that or make it as easy. In heavy rains the plastic ones let the water run across and over the gutter edge - not down the gutter and drain pipe. I have had some of this screening on gutters on other parts of the house for a few years..

Hinges allow access to gutter. Metal is easily bent which makes it susceptible to dents from shipping, but also easily reshaped to near original shape. Fairly easy to install (unless you have arthritis) and a whole lot cheaper than installed gutter guards which are not a good choice for out severely steep roof.

I've had these over 10 years and regret buying them. They were difficult to snap in. The leaves and debris collect where it arches down against the bottom of the shingles. I bought them because they are metal and figured they would not deteriorate over time like the white vinyl ones. But they have rusted! And they are and eyesore as I was never able to seat some of them evenly.

They started rusting after about seven years but since they are easy to take off and attach to the guard I bought a new set to replace the rusted pieces.

Very easy to snap and go on newer gutter older gutter has a way thicker lip tougher to snap on very good product

These are a great low cost way to keep my gutters clear of debris. They are easy to cut/fit into corner applications which was really nice. I will probably still have to blow leaves off the back side of them occasionally as I can see them gathering in some spots, but other than that they have worked great and help keep my gutters flowing and draining properly.

The gutter guard was easy to install. I am a 73 female and did it myself.

This is the 5th house I have put these on. I have always put a sheet metal screw in the middle of the screen into the gutter between the hinges, plus I slightly flatten our the curve so there is not such a dam to catch leaves on the shingle side. I would never invest in the gutter screens designed to be slid under the shingles. I have seen sever damage to sheathing and soffits from that style due to ice build up under the shingle and would recommend the amerimax guard over the rain shield style that costs 10 times as much.

Exactly what I needed

While the idea of the clip is good, the clips did not fit easily in our gutter. The product description should include adequate warning/caution to alert what types of gutter edges are not compatible for this guard.

I’ve used these for years and they really do a great job of keeping the leaves out. I overlap them a bit. The hinges allow for easy access to the gutter for cleaning.

I have now installed some 300 ft of the gutter cover/screen. SKU 49821 85280 Premium Hinged Gutter Guards. What I have found is the clips attached to the gutter guard do not have any spring tension. Thus when the clip opens to go around the gutter edge, it bends slightly open and without spring tension, does not retract to hold securely to the gutter. The gutter guard was installed per your directions. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in the product, specifically, it's attachment method. I like the expanded aluminum material concept and find it works nicely. However, the attachment method is very very poor!!!!!. I installed about 200 ft last year and this year, due to required shingle replacement from storm damage, the original material was removed. I carefully reformed the cheap poorly designed retaining clips and was able to use most of the original material. I then purchased another 100 ft to finish the installation. I need my issue resolved. I am not at all satisfied with this product. Please advise.
