So far so good
Worked as it should on outside vertical ceramic tile, appears to have bonded well, top coat went on smoothly, time will tell how it holds up

it was ok. Used to prime Bathroom Cabinets. I sanded and roughed up the surface prior. I applied 2 coats of Primer but I was expecting a better blending/smoothing from this primer so that the final paint would be more smooth. I brushed on the first coat and rolled on the second coat but somehow it still left kinda stroke marks behind. I did the same with the final coat. Brushed on the first and rolled on the second and touched up with a brush. I used Shermin Williams final coat. It turned out ok but hoped for a smoother coat.

Hi LarsinVA, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you did not get the finish that you were expecting. Although sanding in between coats is not needed, you can do that for a super smooth finish. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance; our customer care team is happy to help you! -Giovanna Behr

Just what we needed for our RV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We're new to diy projects and thought painting was going to be easier. It would've been if we had this bonding primer from yhe get go. Our cabinets are wood so we figure we use the same oil primer for everything but that was a huge mistake. The rv interior is made out of 4 different types of material. There's wood cabinets, laminate wrapped 2 × 4 skeletons for the cabinets and other areas, and 2 types of luan panels. The oil primer did ok on the cabinets but was a horrible mess on the rest of the rv. We wish we knew about it before we started. It even worked on the wood cabinets! It's a bit pricey compared to other primers but definitely worth it.

I used this bonding primer on the advice of the store associate who actually spoke with a Behr representative and based on his review of the product I made the purchase. The primer was used to cover 1960’s plastic tile! The tile was in good shape just ugly with some of the yellowed mastic showing through on the seams it was also very sun faded. I then painted with Behr Marquee in satin enamel and it turned out fabulous couldn’t be happier with the results!

    Worth every penny
Using this primer on stained wood trim and it sticks like glue and covers like it’s two coats of a competitor’s primer

    Poor Bonding
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product twice. About 5 years ago, there was some peeling and Behr replaced the paint. About a year ago, the patios and walkways were prepped and painted a second time. There are serious cracks, peels, and flaking. Repairs do not hold up. Some areas have been patched six times.

Hi there, thank you for reviewing our primer. I'm sorry to hear that our Bonding Primer 432 didn't hold up as expected. As it turns out the Bonding Primer isn't recommended for surfaces that are going to be walked on. For priming concrete patios and walkways I'd recommend using our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer 880. I’ve also reached out to you via email to learn more about your project and assist you with this further. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience with us, and I hope to hear from you soon! -Ronald

Great product I used it on my kitchen tiles who a had a ugly color, I did not want to use epoxy who has limited colors and is shiny. I wanted my tiles to be matte and a light gray. I sanded the tiles a bit with a sander and used diamond sand paper, the usual sandpaper does not work on tiles. I applied 2 coats of primer before painting the color. the first 3 days I could still scratch it but after a week or 2 it became hard as nails. I am very happy with the results .

Great primer paint. We got it to cover over gloss and oil paint surfaces in an older house. It adhered real good to the surfaces. Some sanding to rough it up was used, but cleaning the best thing before painting. We tried surfaces without sanding and it work great.

                  Interior Wood Paneling
Does NOT adhere to interior wood paneling finished surfaces. Paint w/ primer peeled right off one week after job was completed.

Thank you for reviewing our primer and sharing your experience. I'm very sorry to hear that the primer did not adhere to your paneling and peeled. Wood paneling can be tricky to paint. Typically, scuff sanding or deglossing the surface will help promote adhesion. I've also reached out via email to further assist you. Thank you again for your honest feedback. I hope to hear from you soon!
