I purchased two bales and attempted to use them the same day; however, after removing all the decayed pine straw, twigs and pine cones, I was left with maybe one bale of usable pine straw. It was very disappointing! I'm staying as safe as possible by only using curbside, otherwise I would have gone in the store and requested a refund. Giving two stars rather than one since some was usable.

Perfect! Exactly what I wanted. Using as mulch around some vegetable plants and perennial flowers in 4 garden beds to keep moisture in. I like the natural look of it and it was easy for me to pull out pieces as needed to use. Great value! Highly recommend.

I’ve bought pine straw from the villa rica home depot and I never again. Large sticks, lots of pine cones and tree bark. If I had wanted to sort through the pine straw I would went to my neighbors yards and raked up some of his. The pine straw is OLD also. Not fresh.

Purchased just 3 bales at Sandy Plains store in Marietta, GA based on poor reviews. Just wanted to try it out before buying in bulk. reviews are correct: bales are full of debris and junk. Fully 10% or more is sticks, pine cones, trash, etc. Horrible product. The included pictures are the trash that was in just one bale.

No, it didn't meet my expectations. It was old, dark, partly decomposed, and discolored. Nothing like what I was used to.
The Home Depot bales were the ones on the left side of the dry river bed. Competition's on the right. You can definitely see the difference.
