This Bosch laser measure is hands down one of the best tools to have with you at all times. The bright colored screen is amazing, the accuracy is incredible, the laser is very bright and it’s compact and light weight. If you need a measuring device this is the one you want. I wish I had bought one several years ago.

This is the second Bosch laser measuring tool I've had. The last one lasted five or six years before dying, which seems pretty OK. This one is a significant upgrade--beyond the basic functions of measuring a distance and holding a few measurements in its memory, it can do fancy stuff like calculate the area and volume of things. I don't really plan to use those features, but it's neat to have. It might take you a minute to figure out how to use the different functions, but overall this is a pretty user-friendly tool. It has a good bright display, and is quite accurate. Also, it comes with a nifty carrying case you can attach to your belt.

This was ordered online and shipped to my home without issue. Out of the box this is a great laser distance measuring tool. It works really well indoors, but outdoors it can be kind of tricky unless you're measuring from a diffinitive point of reference like a large wall or car. It's hard to see the laser in direct sunlight on smaller surfaces so it's hard to tell if you're aiming at the right thing until the distance comes back. The distance on this is pretty accurate. I put a tape measure down and measured from the same point and got the exact same reading. There are multiple ways to measure with this which is an awesome feature. You can measure wall/floor space by doing a length and height measurement it will calculate the area for you. like wise if you want to know the volume by taking three measurements that the tool prompts you too, and it will calculate that for you. I used this feature to help measure the amount of rocks I would need for a landscaping project. as a point of clarification, if you use the tape measure feature you'll measure to the redline shown on the screen. If you do the distance measuring feature, the distance will be to the end (bottom) of the tool, not the front where the laser comes out. All in all this is a fantastic tool that has been getting a lot of use.

I have been needing a way to measure things without using a tape measure. This unit gives you so many great options to choose from. I was able to measure my entire patio area in about five minutes once I read the manual on this great device. It was super easy to set up. Plug in the supplied batteries and your on your way. I am now carrying this at work with me daily as I have many projects that this laser tape measuring tool will make my job so much easier! Also it comes with a convenient carry bag that hooks right onto my belt! The unit has so many features it will take me awhile to figure them all out but wow this unit is very handy to have! Small and portable. Easy to carry and light.

This is my review of the Bosch BLAZE 165 ft. Laser Tape Measure with Color Screen. Bottom line: this is an incredible tool. It does so much and fits in he palm of your hand. The Bosch BLAZE laser tape has 7 different functions including length, Continuous measure, area, volume, indirect height, wall area and a stake out function! You can save and delete saved measurements. The accuracy is 1/16" =/- over 165 feet! It is well built and comes with a steel belt clip (which can be removed easily to change batteries) The tool is protected by a very stout rubber over mold case and it also comes with a canvas carrying pouch that will fit over a belt loop. The laser tape measure has a rounding button to make taking a measurement much faster and easier. The Bosch BLAZE GLM165-22 also has a real easy-to-read back lite color display and is IP65 water resistant. Using the tool is very intuitive. Press the red button and the tool boots up in less than 2 seconds. I was able to make measurements in seconds that would take several minutes before. The Bosch BLAZE GLM165-22 tape measure is one of the top 10 ten must always keep on hand tools! Thanks for reading.

This has to be one of the best laser measuring tools I have owned. From the start its durability is excellent as it is encased in a rubber cover. It is so easy and simple to use, just power on initiate the laser and read the output which can be as accurate to the 1/16th of an inch or you can scale it to nearest 1/8, 1/4 and even round up to the nearest whatever you want. The display is easy to read and is backlit so reading in low light areas is not an issue. You can use it just like a tape measure as the distance changes as you move it. It has the intelligence to add/subtract measurements as well as calculating areas and square footage. It comes with a belt clip, 2(AA) batteries and a pouch.

My husband is totally thrilled with this laser distance tape. It is so much better than trying to use a tape measure in every possible way. It is so much more accurate, and so much easier to use. When it’s really long, you don’t need the second person to hold onto the other end of your tape measure. All you need is this handy wonderful gadget. We are thrilled to add this to our tool arsenal.

Bosch makes incredibly high quality tools, and this is no exception. The build quality and tool feel, are rock solid. It is made of high quality plastic, with rubberized accents to ensure a solid (no slip) grip on this tool. It also comes with a nylon carrying case that easily attaches to your belt. Once you go through the manual or Quickstart the first time, it is incredibly easy to use. This is an incredibly useful tool if you are a trades person or just a homeowner that wants to do things quickly. Easily calculate length, area, height, and more! An app you can download….if you have the Bluetooth version. Even without any app I find this to be an incredibly useful tool…. And the display is so beautifully crisp and easy to read. I simply love this thing!

I have wanted one of these laser tape measures for years but never had one until now. Every time I try to measure the length of a fence, vaulted ceiling or any other long distance you have to keep moving your tape measure over and over to get your measurement. With this Bosch Blaze 165 ft. laser distance measuring tool those problems are a thing of the past. With the quick start guide you can have this thing up and running in just a couple minutes. I was able to place the supplied AA batteries inside and read the guide and I was off and running. I have always wondered how tall our sloped ceiling was in our entry way and with this handy tool I now know it is 18.380 ft. tall (as seen in the pictures). If I want to calculate how much paint I need to paint a room I can now measure an entire room in just a couple minutes without having to drag a tape measure all over the place. Now all I have to do is set it where I want it and press a single button and write down the measurement and I'm done. Need to measure the length of a fence in so you can calculate the materials you need? Just set it at one end of the fence and hit a button and you are done. You will never have to drag a tape measure around your yard ever again or have it buckle if your tape doesn't have a long enough stand off on it. If you are a DIY homeowner or a general contractor this laser measurer is perfect for either one. It will make taking short or long distance measurement problems a thing of the past.

This tape does a lot. You do need to read the manual to use all the features. Using to measure distances is easy. You can have the distance displayed in feet and inches, or just inches. You can determine how accurate it displays the distance. Do you need it to the nearest 1/4"? 1/8"? You get the idea. I like the tape measure display myself. You can also do things like get the square feet of a wall or floor, as well as the cubic measurement of a room. Another great feature is indirect height measurement. You measure your distance from the lower point, and then the distance to the upper point. It then calculates the 3 side of the triangle and gives you the height. No climbing a ladder.

This is a VERY powerful measuring tool! It's a little bigger than a 25' measuring tape, but infinitely more powerful, considering all the measurement functions it can perform. The "Quick Start Guide" is painfully brief. It boiled down to me, hands on, using the devise, pushing the buttons to see what they did & re-reading the quick start guide over & over again to see how it all relates to my actions. Once I felt comfortable with using the devise, it turned out to be very easy to go through the simple process of getting the measurement, saving, or deleting it from it's memory. This little genius laser measuring tool can measure: length, area, volume, wall area, indirect height, stake out & continuous measurement. Once selected, the internal memory icon quickly showed all the measurements previously taken. I can delete them, at any time. Another great option, I could change the measuring units, at any time, on measurements I am going to make, or even measurements I already made! The measuring units available are: M, CM, MM, FT, IN, 0"1/32, 0'0" 1/32. I could also decide what rounding units I wanted to use: 1/2", 1/4", 1/8", 1/16", 1/32". I took several measurements with this laser measuring devise & confirmed the accuracy with a steel measuring tape. When I was selecting a measurement function, a little gear/settings icon appeared on the lower right corner, of the display. Pressing the gear button button brought up a graphical tutorial of what needs to be measured & how to measure it. I found this very helpful in learning how to use this devise. All the important information appears on the devise screen: the measurement just taken, which part of all the measurements needed, was taken, the rounding used, the battery level, from which position on the devise the measurement was taken, ie: from the front, middle, or rear of the devise. I selected the back of the devise, for my measurements. I used the devise for several hours, without depleting the two, included, "AA" alkaline batteries. This devise uses such little power, the battery level meter never changed from it's fully charged level. The set includes: Quick Start Guide, operating/safety instructions, protective pouch, with belt loop & a belt clip that attaches to the devise. When the devise is going to be mounted on a tripod, the belt clip has to be removed to access the bolt hole on the devise. The devise is light weight & it's ergonomic design & rubber coating, over most of it, makes it very comfortable to hold & use. This is a top professional laser measuring tool.

The BOSCH BLAZE 165 FT. LASER DISTANCE TAPE MEASURING TOOL WITH COLOR SCREEN AND MEASUREMENT ROUNDING FUNCTIONALITY has a lot of nice features for measuring length, heighth, area and various other measurements. A negative is the lack of instructions on how to use each feature. Obviously, measuring the length of a wall is fairly straight-forward, but when mesuring the area of a wall, adding multiple measurements together and other complex features included, it would be helpful to have specific instructions on these features. The unit is fairly compact, comes with a carrying case and belt clip and batteries are included. Instructions that were included provide descriptions of the buttons and various device parts. And, most functions were fairly easy to figure out, but some more advance features could have used some instructions. The laser was easy to spot and brightly shone in most lighting. The LCD screen was a nice size and provide useful information. One feature that would have been useful is a leveling function, which is included in the more expensive unit, but not this one.

I use this primarily indoors to measure for kitchen and bathroom jobs. It works great when measuring for cabinets and flooring square footage. Makes life so much easier, not needing a second person on the other end of a tape measure. This has 9 various measuring functions, of which I have only used 3 so far and those 3 worked fantastic. I also used it to measure a deck job and it did work well, but it was very sunny that day and I found the LCD screen a little hard to read in direct sunlight. This Bosch Blaze has so many features, including Bluetooth functionality, so I was able to digitally transfer all my measurements directly to my Apple tablet, which was a major time saver and makes my estimates easier because everything is right there on my tablet all recorded in order (just have to install the Measure & Document app, which took no time at all). It has a clear, large color screen, and easy to use buttons. I am also starting to use the Floor Plan app on my tablet which does the work for you, but I need more time to figure it out. The included manual is very concise and easy to understand - I suggest you read it through before using it, which will make everything seem much easier and clearer. So far, I'm extremely happy with this tool and will be using more and more of the features as I go.

A color screen and a fairly easy to use interface. You get the laser tool, 2 AA batteries, a belt clip, a nylon belt pouch, registration form, Operating/safety booklet and a quick start guide. This smart tool has some nifty features. For example you can make a measurement and then subtract (or add) another measurement from it. One can select if the distances measured are from the rear of the unit, front of the unit or from the tripod mount in the near the middle. You can select a continuous measurement mode in which the minimum and maximum distance is updated continuously on screen. It will calculate an area from two measurements or the volume from three. It will calculate the length of one side of a triangle from the length of the hypotenuse and the other side. This allows the height of something to be calculated from the length of the slope and distance in the horizontal. The area of a wall can be calculated by measuring the height and then accumulating a number of lengths of wall of that height. (It assumes the walls are rectangular.) It has a memory and one can scroll back to look at the readings you have made. When measuring simple distances it shows the last 4 readings. One can select English, French and Spanish interface languages. The quick start guide is a generic one that covers multiple models so one can’t tell what features apply and what does not, until you get to the last page which has a table showing which models have what features. Essentially all it does is explain the names of the main buttons and what the screen indicators are. One feature that it has is called ‘stake out’. It seems to be for dividing some length up into equal parts but it is not clear how to set the number of parts, or to use the feature generally. I looked in the instruction booklet. It contains no information at all on how to use any of the features, only generic information on topics such as batteries, accuracy, and of course all the legal stuff. When selecting a feature mode there is a help button one can press which produces a sequence of images (which all display rotated 90°) but they made me no wiser. So I wont be able to use that feature until someone smarter can explain it. If using inches, you can use a dedicated button to very quickly select a level of rounding to use which is very handy if you want work in 1/32, 1/16, ⅛. ¼ or ½” fractions. This should not be confused with the unit of measurement selection however. If one is using metric units of measurement, the rounding button does not really do any rounding but can be used to change the display units. The case has a nice rugged rubberized feel and the buttons feel responsive and durable. The screen is nice and bright and very visible in low light. There are three brightness levels. A battery save mode switches beeps off and sets a low screen brightness. It is possible to attach a lanyard to the unit too. Made in Malaysia.

It is not every day that you need a measureing device like this, but when you do you just can not find one that will do the job like this one. I have been in the commercial Interior Design for years and this laser measurer just saves a lot of time and costs to my job. I can do all the accurate measuring I critically need in seconds with no extra help needed. Easy and accurate to use. I highly recommend this device.

This is my first laser measure and I can't believe how I got along without it before. This is a compact device that has a lot of features. Honestly it has taken me some time to effectively use it but the easy to use function and setting buttons make it simple to master the device. Bosh also supplies a quick start guide and instructions guide that is easy to understand. The screen is easy to read and the red laser is easy to see, even in bright light. You can even connect to your Bluetooth, a free App is available. The tool is well protected when working in harsh jobsite environments. A nylon case with a belt loop is also included. This tool will save you a lot of time if you are estimating jobs. The only improvement I would like is if the device had a squared off bottom, it would make it easier to mark boards for length. I know I have not covered all of the functions of this device, but I can say this, you won't be disappointed with it.

Super accurate laser measure that is a convenient size to carry.  The -22 model comes with a lot of capability and so is not intuitive right out of the package.  I had to refer to the quick start guide to get going.  The function mode helps walk you through the steps.  When in doubt push Func! I particularly like the "live" measurement mode for finding a specific distance from a fixed point.  The only thing I miss on the model -22 is a leveling function which is available on the next model up in the Bosch line. Also be aware when using the 'tape measure' mode the reference point is in the middle of the screen. Providing a marking on the sides of the tool to match up with this reference point would be a simple but useful upgrade. The included belt clip is handy and easily slides off so you can place the unit flat on the floor when taking a measurement. Great device.

Bosch Laser Tape Measure. Measures up to 165 ft. 2 AA batteries are included along with a carrying case with belt clip and a second pocket clip. Unit has a lot of features and rests in the middle of a line of Bosch laser tapes as it related to features. The tape has a rubberized body which should protect it if it is dropped. There is free software available from Bosch that helps transfer data to a backward home design. Unit handles easily, can hold or store measurements, reacts quickly to distance changes. You can download the instructions off the Home Depot site. Takes some time to review all the things this unit can do. Little more difficult when using outdoors, especially on a sunny day. Hard to keep track of the red laser dot. If you take a lot of measurements it's a nice unit.

This is a great tool to have on hand when you have to do quick measurements. It is accurate to an eighth of an inch. It is portable and easy to use. It can measure length, area, and volume. Quick tool to see how much paint or carpeting you may need in a room. It measures up to 165 feet. It is a great tool for quickly sizing up all dimensions. Easy to read digital screen.

The instruction booklet is huge but once you get started it is very easy to use; there are lots of features and different types of measurements and I was a bit intimidated at first. Once I turned it on, it was actually simple. Very accurate. I did a comparison using this laser tape measure and a regular tape measure and it was exact. Much easier than having to get a traditional tape measure to stay in place and then pull it out the length. Measured a room for tile in a minute and I know its exact. Comes with an attachable belt clip and a storage pouch. Durable, rubber wrapped to prevent damage from dropping etc. Highly recommended

Bosch has made this laser with its compact design for folks who measures on a frequent basics a Glazier, Carpenter, or any type of tradesman or tradeswoman this is the thing to have and requires the accuracy, these types of lasers have been around a while now and it's getting to where it is very affordable, and and is reliable, you will save time and the frustration of holding a tape measure by yourself, which at times can be awkward, it's very accurate and easy to use. It comes with a soft carrying case has a built-in velcro belt loop and a provide metal belt clip with a provide screw to attach to the laser to put on your belt or pants also comes with two AA batteries. This model has a bright red laser dot that projects a target to measure from. To check out the accuracy I compared this to a Stanley's Fat-max and I got to tell you it is right on the money, no more asking someone to hold the other end. This will surely be a one man or one woman job when measuring and laying out jobs also has a built-in memory so you don't have to remember and write it down. Has a function to add dimensions or subtract. Reading in the manual it appears that this is preferred for indoor use... not quite sure why you wouldn't be able to use it outside as long as you can see the red dot and have a firm structure to measure from. The difficulty using it outside would be trying to aim the laser at a distance steady enough to hold the laser with one hand and press the activating button with the other this would hold true the further away you get but that's just the nature of any laser that you are using in the field. The manuals that it comes with was somewhat disappointing because it was mostly safety precautions, do's and don'ts, it did not explain how to use the all the functions and show how to operate this laser measure as it is intended, one should be able to figure it out by trial and error but it would have been nice to show how to use this laser from the manufacturer. The maximum length to measure is 165' which is really quite far, it will take a steady hand to target a certain point on the wall to measure from and keep the red laser dot pointed where you want. You have several options to choose from feet, and inches with decimal points, feet inches and fractions, inches with fractions, metric- millimeters, centimeters, meters, You can take several dimensions and it will add them together for you. has several different functions continuous reading, adding and subtracting. one of the other features that I come to appreciate is the continuing measurement, place the device on a wall slide it along and the dimension will adjust accordingly. Has a hole in the corner for a wrist loop (not included) in case you drop it, this is something I highly recommend to keep it from falling out of your hand and ont to the floor... standing on a ladder or at any heights it would be easy to drop this device, it would be well worth the cost and if you're creative you could probably make one for yourself. It has a nice display that is easily readable daytime or night. When I was testing this you have to press the button to start to activate the red dot to show where you want to measure to... one of my complaints is while you are trying to hold the measure and project the red dot it will not last very long the laser device will turn off and you have have to press the button again to show the red dot again, all this is frustrating but the more you use it the quicker you will get used to using this. I have always been satisfied with my purchases at the Home Depot they are consumer oriented for the fact that it come with a 90 day return, giving the consumer a piece of mind and knowing that the company that you're buying from will honor your satisfactio

The Bosch Blaze is a great tool to use. I have used it for projects as simple as putting in a counter top and as big as measuring out a space to divide up. I was able to use the MeasureOn App and use a picture of the space and then post measurements right to the picture and where i needed to see them. I then could take that picture with the measurements and send it to others to view and collect measurements from. I also liked the way it stores measurements, so if i need to go back and look at a few different measurements i didn't have to remeasure. I also liked the ease of scrolling through the settings. I was able to find the settings i needed to adjust and quickly changed them. Its nice having the led screen to see where your laser is hitting at long distances and you can zoom in on the picture to see it better. It came with a nice carrying case that can attach to your belt or pocket for easy store and go. The battery compartment is easy to access and install the batteries. On the Bottom edge is a measuring pin for measuring at a outside corner. There is so much more to list but really don't have the space to talk about it all. I have had mine for only a month and have used it quite a bit and it has met my expectations and i know that it will be a tool i will get a lot of use out of. I got mine for under $300 and its been well worth it. For the price point and the capabilities this is a great tool and i see it used in the construction industry a lot.

Wow, this is quite the upgrade from my older Bosch laser measure. This is accurate to a 1/16th of an inch at several hundred feet. Didn't really test that spec but it was to 25 ft. Nice screen on this that shows you exactly what the beam is measuring in the cross hairs. So much better than having to break out the red glasses and see where the laser beam hits (you can still do that if you want). It stores a bunch of measurements and will calculate quite a few volume, angle and height measurements. The included app for sync with a smartphone is a nice bonus. This would be great for surveyors and house inspectors. Comes in handy around the house for renovation work (our case) and general construction. Great product, the camera with the magnifier is a great touch. You have 4 crop levels when you zoom in to make sure you have the correct spot( If you press the zoom button a 5th time you will go back to your original view. The app is well though out, I like the fact that you can make a punch list/ To Do and add it to your images. I need to play around with it some more, as I selected an app for the export as jpg default and now that I want to change it to something else I can't. Other than that no complaints. Once you take a measurement, it pops up on your phone instantly in the measurement list panel(if you are connected via the bluetooth option). From here you can label your measurements which is good, see the pics below for a sample Using the Bluetooth: It took me a while so I will share this with you.Activate the Bluetooth on the measure, then on your phone or tablet. Download MeasureOn by Bosch, you will have to connect the Bluetooth device through this app, if you try and do it from your phone's Bluetooth manager the measure will reject the connection.

Wow! This Bosch GLM400C laser measure has a true camera viewfinder (a good size too - about 2.25” by 3.5”) so there is no guessing about where the laser is actually hitting, even at the 400 foot distance. The precision of this 400 foot laser measure is outstanding. It has a mounting hole for a ¼” thread tripod for very steady measurements (see picture). As you can see in the pictures below, there is even a level feature showing you how far off level you have pointed so you can adjust easily for a perfectly level laser shot (a green dot appears when you have reached the level point). It even came with the three AA batteries needed to operate the measure, and it has a very secure locking mechanism with a metal tab that fits right into an indentation in the case. Bosch really thought of everything in the design of this laser measure! It comes with a comprehensive 41-page manual and a carrying case that can clip to your belt, but there is also a pocket size guide with 14 pictorials which can walk you through many of the common functions. There is even an app you can download to pair the laser measure with your smartphone. Having that camera viewfinder is really a big feature improvement over laser measures that only display measurement. I highly recommend this laser measure!

Je l'ai utilisé 3 fois et aujourd'hui je l'ouvre, je vois que les batteries d'origine sont presque complètement épuisées alors je les change avant d'aller chez mon client, il ne veut plus ouvrir maintenant. J'ai beau remettre d'autres batteries il ouvre plus. Bravo Bosch!
