This thing is a brute! It chipped out a concrete slab with ease.

I had to remove roughly 250-300 sq feet of tile from a concrete slab. It took some time, but this tool was perfect for the job.

I had to remove some river rocks / concrete around my mailbox for an update in the hardscape. After working for an hour with a digging bar I said enough of this and went to Home Depot and purchased the Bosch 11255VSR. It made fast work breaking out the rocks and concrete. As I was working I notice the tool "loosen up" and the impacts became stronger. The owner's manual said it could take up to 5 hours to break in. Keep in mind this is a light duty tool and should be used as such.

I have tried other Rotary Hammer, but this one is the best because of its performance and users safety for the smooth vibrations avoiding mistreatment of hands and arms of the person using it, but they are effective on the field. Its size and weight are ideal for the use of the demolitions I personally have realized

Had to drive some deep tapcons into the sill of the barn to stabilize a wall that had come loose. This is old crappy 1950's concrete with real rocks in it. The Bosch cut through it like butter. Left a smooth precise hole even when hitting the rocks inside. Very smooth to hold without a lot of vibration in the handle (even though it is not a padded handle) allowing easier handling without fatigue. My only very minor gripe is with the depth gauge which wobbles a tiny bit (again not a big deal, but while the pushbutton lock is nice, it doesn't seem to hold it particularly rigidly)

This hammer drill seemed to be working fine, right up to the point where the chuck came apart in pieces. Took me a half hour to get the $35 bit out so i can return to the store. Of course, they are out of this item now and i am going to purchase a different brand

I have high expectation for SDS Plus, but for what I used on asphalt removal, it was definitely NOT powerful enough. I tried 3 different brand new chisel bits and the results were the same - VERY SLOW. Don't get it wrong, this is still a good tool, it should be good for drilling concrete for most home owners and DIY people, but for demolition work definitely this is way under powered. SDS MAX or a real demolition hammer maybe a better choice in my case. I believe this SDS Plus rotary hammer drill is good for light duty stuff like Tiles removal, but absolutely not on concrete or asphalt removal work.

I read all the reviews and chose the Bosch Bulldog Xtreme 8 amp corded variable speec SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer drill. I needed to drill 5” inch holes through concrete to sink 1/2 inch mounting bolts to secure the base mounts of a large gazebo. Using my old power drill, it took 30 plus minutes per hole and the drill bit slip away from the intended hole when it hit rocks. With the Bulldog Xtreme, i cut straight perfect holes, no slippage, no mistakes. You will not believe the accuracy, ease and speed until you use this simply amazing rotary hammer drill, I did create a jig using 1/2 plywood with 4 pre drilled joles to make sure the mounting bracket holes were properly aligned, which allowed me to drill perfectly placed holes.

I just got this drill this past weekend in order to drill out a 50 year old concrete stoop with termites underneath. I needed to drill multiple 1/2" wide holes 10" apart and 18" deep. This drill handled it with ease. I predrilled each hole with a 5/16, 6" deep bit, then used the 18" bit. It took me maybe 20 minutes to drill all the holes. Power was never an issue, and I just let the drill do the work, I didn't push too hard. It takes SDS and SDS Plus bits which are very common. I alsu purchesd a chisel bit to clear out extra concrete from an extension and it's pushed through that with no problem either. On my way to get my Hilti TE-50 from work. I stopped at HD and saw this bugger and thought "saves me a trip, why not try it?

I am doing a pit set manufactured home for my son and daughter in law. I had 54 1/2" x 5" holes to drill in the concrete reinforced slab. The first 3 holes took almost 2 hours to drill and the new bits were trash. After purchasing the Bosch Bulldog extreme it took between 12 to 16 seconds per hole. After 51 holes the bit is going strong. Thank you Bosch and Home DePot.

Used the Bosch to demo my guest bathroom, it handle the tile removal no problem. It also handle the demo of the floating walls all the way to the studs. Did pretty good job on floor, but had to borrow the bigger Bosch brother to remove the hot mop shower floor. Great with the wide blade for tile removal ..so easy would recommend!

Highly recommend. Pulling up Tile/thinset with this has been fairly easy. Doing chunks of the flooring at my own pace required me to purchase this instead of renting the tool and tearing all the tile out at once. Had zero issues with this. Powerful and love the different settings that are available on it. Highly recommend.

Worked like a Bull and a Dog mixed together

I bought this a couple of years back. Worked great, loved it, but after only using it a dozen times, one of the brushes jumped out it holder, got jammed against the armature, burned/melted the bearing bracket and the plastic frame of the drill. To fix, I would have to figure out how to remove all the workings, replace the frame and figure out how to put it all back together again. Can't justify the time or cost, so will probably scrap it. What a shame it happened. With a cost of $300, I will likely rent one in the future. Wish the warranty was still good.

Have had this model for several years. As others say, with a good bit, this tool will bore a hole through concrete like a knife through butter. I also used a wide scraper bit to easily remove an old ceramic tile floor. It is an indispensable tool for heavy-duty work.

Works great. Cut my drilling time from 15 minutes to 3 minutes per hole.

They need to do a better job with the display making it clear you have to have a special Chuck to use any bits that aren’t Bosch SDS Plus. I have tons of hammer drill bits but can’t use any of them with this drill without buying a separate adapter. Returning for a different brand that doesn’t need special parts.
