Much improve connector on motor shaft. Photo shows difference. Old one (10+ years) and new one. This is our go-to appliance for so many things in the kitchen!

Make sure you hold on to it, it blends fast., Very easy to put together. Blends all my foods to perfection. From smoothies, baking sweets, sauces, ice, vegetables and fruits,. the 21 speeds with 400 w, and stainless steel blades will make sure it's blended well. Easy to clean. This is one appliance that I will be using on a daily basis. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Braun multiquick hand blender with 21 speeds today. It does a great job of pureeing vegetables for my 6 month old . It is so much easier to use then the blender and with 21 speeds it is powerful. Also used it with the breaker to make a large fruit smoothie. Easy to clean which is important for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by the far the best Immersion blender I have ever had. I am so impressed by this little yet very powerful machine. It has is a 400W motor with 21 different speeds and a turbo boost option as well. This fits perfect in my hand, it is not too heavy and is super easy to control. The best part about this blender is that the clean up is super easy with the easily detachable stainless steel blending shaft, as well as the easy click system for the shaft and other accessories; which are dishwasher safe. I love that all the pieces that come into contact with food are BPA-free. This blends and purees food so fast and easy. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who cooks. I am in love with this blender and enjoy cooking so more more.

I made sauce and gave it a blend in the pan to make it all blended together. Love the fact that it has 21 speeds. It is all stainless steel,cleans up easy.You can take anything hot and blend it directly in the pan.Clips together very easy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new favorite toy, the Braun MulQuick 5 Vario Hand Blender with 21 Speeds! First of all it’s a sharp looking and well made blender. Took just a little practice in using the various speeds in deciding which one is best for what I use this blender for . So far I have made a few batches of salsa. Fast and easy and blends everything beautifully. Then I made some cream of potato soup, blended and puréed perfectly. Easy to use right in the pot . Cleans up easy. Blade is super sharp and powerful . Not sure I will ever use all 21 speeds but great to have as options. I highly recommend this hand blender.

The dial speed selector is easy to use and there are 21 speeds! I’m really pleased with this product from Braun and look forward to using it as much as I can!

Wonderful blender. We do a lot of soups and this makes short work of them. Also great for shakes. I really love that it is so easy to clean. My last one did not (a different brand). This makes short work of leeks and celery.

Love the braunhand blender. I'm a repeat customer. I used the first one for several years until the attachment no longer functioned then continued to use it with my other attachments - the whisk and food chopper. I recently decided I wanted the complete package again. I love it fo smoothies and meal prep!

This is a strong good working unit. Purees very well.

My very first Hand Blender was a lovely Braun MR380 which lasted for 35 years. Based on this experience I would only consider another Braun to replace it. The MultiQuick 5 Vario is a worthy successor. So powerful, chops ice, mashes pumpkin and potatoes, whips, chops and pretty much pulverizes everything in seconds. It is a lot heavier than my old (dead) blender, but you don't need to hold this blender for more than a few seconds. If you don't want to use the turbo function all the time you can adjust the speed of the blade with a turn dial. Clean up is easy, just pop off the attachment and put it in the dishwasher. Here's to the next 35 years!

Had this for a year and a half. Used it twice. Go to use it today and it doesn't work at all. So tired of spending money on products that don't work. We're all being taken advantage of us. Shame on you, Braun.

Great small blender. WAY too heavy for an eighty year old! Disappointed!

I had a Kitchen Aid Immersion Blender and it was so weak it hardly was able to blend soups. Braun is so much more powerful and blends soups fast and smooth!

Had been using a hand-cranked eggbeater for years to fluff up liquids in a bowl. Arthritis was making that more difficult and splashier. Didn't want a full-size mixer, as my small kitchen space already included a glass blender and small food processor, not always best when you need to fluff liquids in an open bowl. Had never heard of an immersion blender until a pop-up ad appeared on a cooking article I was reading. Intrigued, I comparison shopped and settled on the Braun MQ5000. It appeared simple to use, would likely work in my large open mixing bowl without splashing, easy to clean, didn't come with doodads I didn't need, and was reasonably priced. The verdict: It does! I am very pleased with this product.

While Braun has always been a respected company the Multi Quick 5 Vario Hand Blender has a design problem in as much as the recessed buttons that release the tools take too much pressure to make the tools actually release. I also found the unit heavier than was comfortable for me to use with ease. I had a braun hand blender for 17 years that I loved and used all the time until the motor finally gave out! It didn't have all the gadgetry that I find so unnecessary with the newer appliances and electronics these days! Sometimes simple is better!!

It broke after the second use. Currently only turbo mode is working.

Does the job. Easy to hold and to control speed. Especially like the light and flexible cord. Good price and prompt shipping.

The hand mixer is powerful, convenient and easy to use.

This Braun immersion blender works as advertised. It feels good in the hand and creates blended liquids. It does what it says it will do.

Sounds powerful, but seems as it’s straining to blend anything of substance.

This thing is a beast. The first thing I made with it was cream of asparagus soup. There wasn't a trace of fiber left.

I bought this because my prior Braun (bought >15 years ago) gave up in a puff of smoke. This model is more powerful; it blends more quickly and completely. I've pureed soup with the wand and made garlic paste in the mini-processor. More powerful = heavier. This works for me, but it's probably too heavy for my elderly mother.

Best darn hand blender on the market. Last Braun hand blender lasted for 25 years. Great product

I’ve used it only once. It worked great on a cauliflower soup and didn’t make a mess.

Excellent. Works really well, easy to store. Makes the "creamiest" anything.

So far it is great - much better than I expected based on other hand blenders I've had. Only disappointment is that after finding it to be so good I cannot find where I can get individual attachments without purchasing another blender. I didn't realize its full power when I purchased it and I wouldn't use all of the attachments in any of the complete sets, so I got just the blender.
