This tool worked fine for cutting into the sod and making a straight cut. It was the shoveling out the sod with a shovel that was the hard part. The extra large "foot rests" are expecially helpful. I tried another similar tool that didnt have those and nearly fell down. Overall, a good tol for the money.

I liked it but the handle is too short even for me and I am 5’4”. No issues and no bending but does need some sharpening when you get it.

Works like a champ!!! The heavy gauge steel on this tool tops anything else I have ever seen. For the life of me I can't figure out what the people with negative reviews were doing with this thing, but mine seems sturdy enough to do any kind of edging.

    Expectations not met.
I was looking for a tool to handle household edging around flower beds and trees. The tool worked OK but the shaft was easily bent side to side to back and forth. I recommend finding something with a stronger handle.

Hello, this tool is not designed to pry back and forth. It should be used straight up and down to edge out an area. BullyTools

After 5-10 minutes of use edging 2 sections of sidewalk (one side), the bar/stem was already bending. I was not digging or prying, but just pushing down. The blade was barely dirty, the sticker was still intact, and I returned it. I am on a corner with several hundred feet of sidewalk edging, and this was not going to hold up. I hadn't gone 15 feet yet.

This edger was not strong enough to cut into my overgrown zoysia grass. To complete my task I used a pitchfork and a standard pointed shovel

I would recommend sharpening the edge of the blade in order to slice through overgrown grass. BullyTools
        Disappointing
Great write up on the product induced me to order. Handle bent after just a few minutes. While the soil is hard, I expected better performance. I purchased another, same price, from a competitor which has a fiberglass handle and it worked great! Needs a more sturdy handle!!

Hello! Lawn edgers shouldn't be used in a prying motion, only straight up and down. This will prevent any bending. Thank you! BullyTools

Good tool to cut into sod creating borders and beds. It helped that I sharpened the edges for an easier and cleaner entry. You do have to mark your cut lines for a straight, neat looking appearance. This tool will last a lifetime.

          Love it!!!
I had a similar "half moon" shovel as we called it. It didn't move when I moved. I found this one and thought i would try it. I absolutely love it. So thankful I found one even better than the one I used to have.

This product is well made and sturdy. My yard is hard clay. The product doesn't do well unless the ground is moist but it has a nice sharp edge.

              Cheap, flimsy garbage
This thing couldn't even stand up to simple edging-the thing it's supposed to do. After about 20-30 minutes of edging on my mulch bed, this thing was warped like a pretzel. I managed to bend it back to a useable shape but it only lasted another half hour or do before it warped again. I managed to get my front yard done but I highly doubt it will last long enough to do my back yard. If you're thinkgoing my of buying this, use the $32 to buy a half rack of quality beer. You will be much more satisfied.

Hello, this product is not meant to be used in a prying motion. This would cause the tool to hit into the sidewalk or other obstructions and then it would bend. Edgers should be used straight up and down to slice into the soil, then the edge can be pulled out by hand. Thank you! BullyTools
