This Awning is all plastic. In the store the associate said the supports were metal. If the workmen hadn’t installed it, I would have returned it. Poor quality.

As with most Home Depot products, you get what you pay for. CHEAP price = CHEAP quality. Made in China garbage (like most Home Depot Products). Flimsy plastic frame and corrugated plastic panel definitely wont last long but what do you expect when good ones cost $500 and up. Perfect quality for house flippers. Looks good from 50 feet away. Up close it looks nothing like the photos on the product page.

Installed for a customer. The 9 ft is just 2, 4 1/2 ft ones combined, there is not any weather stripping or sealant for the seam, so water can drip through, also does not seal to the house at the attachment point, so water can leak in at the wall. Creative flashing and sealing are needed to install correctly. That beag said, the customer was happy with the finished product.

Looked good online but...
First of all the instructions are not the best. They supply you with concrete screws and anchors. No wood screws. The brackets I received were curved, could not straighten out and could not lay flat against the wall. They require you to hold the bracket against the wall and use a pencil to mark the holes. You will need a very short pencil to mark the upper hole. They should have included a stencil. Sliding the awning in was the easiest but putting on the plastic rail was horrendous.

Note this is a corgated plastic top, like used on some greenhouse walls. Which makes it flexible yet firm. Nice sturdy frame.

Wall anchors and screws for wooden walls please...
So few parts to assemble and yet I had to go and buy anchors and screws for a wooden wall. The kit only has it for concrete. FYI, not everyone has concrete walls. There are other kits that have them for both. Also, not sure how high impact the supports are, they look a little flimsy. Only time will tell.

When customers have stucco walls they should first check what is behind the wall, find the beams and support poles and check if the awning's measure suit them. Installation in less than an hour!
Easy to install brackets (measure, align, drill holes), slide the UV panel into the separated bracket arms, install the clamping screws and slide protective ends onto the pane edges. Done! Less than an hour.
