Excellent to travel at open roads and mountains

We bought a CURT bike rack from a dealer in London, ON. We subsequently lost the keys that you need to secure the bike in place during transport. No problem, I will just contact customer service and get a spare key or two, NOT. They do not sell spare keys so then your bike rack is really just a boat anchor. They did recommend that we can purchase two new ARMS for the rack, and then they would come with spare keys. This was not much fun and now I have a CURT boat anchor. Not recommending.

Quick delivery and well packaged. Very easy to assemble, but it is a bit heavy. Have only used a couple times to haul two bikes to a trail we live very close to. Performed as advertised, very sturdy and secure. Upon assembly, tried to use the locking mechanisms, one pulled out of the barrel completely, the other was just not functional. Called Curt directly, had replacement retaining arms with new locks in a couple days. All is well so far, but I do believe this will serve our purpose for a long time. Thanks HD and Curt for a quality product at a good price.

A reasonably priced rack that’s adjustable and holds my bikes securely. Very satisfied.

Works great - locks - no movement love it

We purchased this bike rack and an accessory strap meant to add stability to the rack. The bike rack took awhile to assemble but once it was mounted to the car it was easy to use and with the stabilizing strap that hooks onto the trunk door I had confidence that our bikes were secure. Because there are so many pivot points to the rack there is some rocking perpendicular to the car but I had no worries that the rack was going to fail. If you want to store the rack on the car it folds up in 2 different ways that make it more compact.

I cannot speak for the 1-1/4" hitch however, the 2" hitch allows the entire rack to move side to side 6" in both directions (1ft. total). I had reached out to the manufacturer with no response on how to fix this safety issue. The rack is secure except the attachment at the hitch. I do not recommend this product as the hitch connection needs to be dealt with.

The product was easy to assemble and is great for carrying our two bikes.

The hold-down clamps didn't come close to reaching any frame part of my step-thru bike frames. But worst, the 1-1/4"-to-2" receiver adapter is (I think) a very poor solution to the bad idea of carrying two bikes on a 1-1/4" hitch receiver. A flimsy proposition at best, made even worse by the flimsy (plastic?) adapter. The stabilizing bolt really doesn't do much to help the situation. I returned this to Home Depot, assembled but unused.

I just installed my carrier.The rack was fairly easy to assemble and very easy to put on the car - it is heavy but that goes with the security of the bikes on the carrier. too light and I would wonder. FYI!! you really have to tighten the bolt on the 2" receiver VERY tight so it won't wiggle. Once tightened it was fine. If you have a step through frame or 20" tires or a fold up bike you will need a cross bar adaptor. It fits the tires of my 20" Bike Friday fold up fine, but the vertical part that holds the bike down does not reach so I had to order a crossbar adaptor. this is not a big deal. The rack seems quite sturdy and the price is right compared to other brands out there

Jiggles around a bit and I am not crazy about the adaptor that makes the connection arm a full 2”. It would be better if the receiver was a solid 2 “ receiver. Used it 4 times, has held up well so far.
