My local Home Depot did not stock these, so I had to special order. It took a couple of weeks to arrive. They arrived in good condition, no scratches or marks. Very easy to assemble and install on the Closet Maid Base unit that I had in my closet. The doors complete the look of my closet organizer. My only complaint was one of the hinges was defective. I contacted Closet Maid for a replacement, but they don’t have any! They advised me to order another set of doors! I wasn’t happy with that, but I had no choice. Closet Maid said it would be no problem to return the doors to Home Depot, even though they were special order.

On the 90 degree side walls this thing is perfect. Unfortunately the other side of the closet has one side wall that is 67.5 degrees. This means the closet rod cannot easily connect to the side wall. ClosetMaid can easily fix this by creating a side wall mount that can adjust angle rather than be only for 90 degrees. They could also create a wedge that sits between the wall and the closet rod mount. Be sure to list me on any patents. To remedy this 67.5 degree issue I will create a 22.5 degree wood wedge and attach it to the wall. The wedge will bring the angle to 90 degrees to accomodate the 90 degree closet rod mount. Another minor issue is if adding drawers and your install this unit on carpet. During installation you will need to extend the leveling feet so that you have clearance for the lowest drawer to glide. I added 3 drawers to each unit (I bought 2) and decided to skip the lowest possible drawer placement. So 2 units, 6 drawers, 4 top shelves. Overall I really like the units but that side wall rod mount not adjusting just irks me so no 5.

I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the closet system. While assembling the the tower, one of the cam post screws pulled through the thin sidewall of the tower. I had to glue the spot and the shelf to ensure stability. (See picture). I am also disappointed that ClosetMaid didn't do a better job matting up colors or their other products, specifically their colors of their hanging rods. The rods that come with this kit are brassy in color rather than a gray. (See picture of two different ClosetMaid systems) It is functional and relatively reasonably priced but could be so much better.

Closetmaid Style 48" shelf kit was came late in two box. Color are not matching with the self rack in second box. Very easy to assemble. it takes only 20 minutes to set up. I am happy with the product quality, but have confusion to hang on the wall with small screw with self. So I am using on ground position. But this self you have to set against the wall.

When assembling a helper is ok, but keep kids and pets away. While assembling I went to the bathroom and when I came back it was disassembled. Upon further inspection the wood around cam posts completely failed. The only thing I can think of is the cat may have bumped it. If a 8 pound cat can damage the wood I’m scared to put any weight on it. I put drywall screws by the failed cam posts, still feels flimsy.

I ended up splitting my into 2 pieces and using them somewhat unconventionally. For the upper half, I placed it in my basement and I'm using it to display some sports memorabilia. The lower half is being used as a shoe shelf in my bedroom. Overall it was very easy to assemble this set. You can adjust the angle of the shoe shelves depending how much of a slant you want. The wood feels nice and the gray color looks great.

This drill was easy to install but is missing the handle that is the only one thing I didn't like

I was so excited to purchase a closet system. Let me preface. I do like the way it looks and it was fairly simple to put together. However, I bought one of the narrow sets and one of the wider sets. So two different boxes. Both of the boxes were missing some of the hardware. This was EXTREMELY frustrating as I do not live close to a home improvement store. So I had it mostly put together and couldn't find the last bit of hardware. So I figured I misplaced it and it would turn up. So I began putting the second box together and what do ya know. I get to the same point as the first and cannot find the same exact hardware. I then relaize both boxes are missing hardware. I triple check to make sure I was not supposed to have bought this additional hardware. And it is in fact supposed to have been in the box. Just added frustration because at this point I now have to go back to the store and pay for additional hardware that should have been in my boxes. Very disappointed. Just to clarify all the jardwate for Step 12 for two different boxes is missing. I cannot put up the rods without this hardware. So the closet part of this closet system cannot be done.

The kit comes with all the hardware you need. Installation is not too easy since the hinges need some adjustment for the doors to align correctly, and the material does tend to chip around screw holes. Overall an okay solution for closet storage needs.

The material is particle board with dark gray laminate.This is from the ClosetMaid Style+ series so it works with other cabinets and shelves in this system. The kit comes with a wall shelf cabinet and all the hardware you need. Installation is quite easy but the material does tend to chip around screw holes. The cabinet needs reinforcement at the corners to keep it straight. Overall an okay solution for closet storage needs.

As such, it is heavy, but this type of product often has little rigidity over time and tends to deform, especially in humid environments. It has a decent appearance and the mounting bracketry is sufficient, and may minimize warping in use. I obtained both the "chocolate" and "walnut" versions and they are nearly identical in color, with a grain pattern more evident on the walnut version. I would not recommend particleboard to be used in horizontal closet shelving applications.

This is a nice shelf to use in a closet above your clothes or close to the floor as like a shoe shelf or just as something to hold odds and ends. It has a nice satin black finish with a light wood grain appearance. There are a couple things I would do different on this is have it two times thicker and have a nicer outer edge would really make a huge difference on this.

This is a pretty nice shelf to install above your clothes or maybe a lower shelf for shoes or other things. This shelf has a light to a dark wood grain that gives it an old rustic look. Personally I do like to have shelves thicker to be able to handle more weight and I do like the look of thicker shelves with a nice edge instead of just a square edge.

The hanging tower looks like a normal sort of shelf unit when it sits on the floor like a normal shelf unit but it is not rigid or sturdy. When you hang it on the wall with the included steel cleat/strut, through the science of physics, the combination of gravity and your solid wall it is transformed into a strong, rigid shelving unit. Now you're ready to attach the 48 in. Chocolate Wood Top Wall Mounted Shelf. Where you can put more stuff. You can also use these items separately, but to use this shelf independently you will need to use some standard shelf hardware purchased separately. This is not real wood. It's some sort of composite. Perhaps a mixture of sawdust and chemical magic. It has a veneer that looks exactly like some exotic hardwood costing big bucks. I haven't installed this on a wall yet but I have one that is on a wall and I couldn't be happier with it. I use it for a charging station for all my drill batteries. One other point to make, this stuff is heavy. You will want to make sure it is mounted to studs. Might need help setting it on the cleat that it hangs from. Making the cleat a slight bit longer than the unit would make it a little easier to hang. But then it wouldn't look so custom and built-in. ClosetMaid is good stuff. I lived in Honolulu a few years. I knew I wouldn't be there the rest of my life. I bought a bunch of CM shelving units, put a 12 foot plank across the top and made a TV stand, library, and whatever storage in my apartment's living room. When I left I gifted them to people. They were sturdy, affordable and useful and looked good. Kind of a treasure hunt as my wife and I went to every store on Oahu buying out the particular unit we based our design on.

This shelve and closet door kit worked out really well. I really like the veneer they used because the gray color looks really nice. The veneer itself is good quality. It is made of compressed wood but it comes together well. Assembly wasn’t too bad but I did struggle a little bit because the instructions aren’t the best. It definitely comes with all the necessary hardware and I really like how it even has some small brackets to attach it to the wall. At it’s full height I would definitely use brackets. The product fully assembled is really tall so I ended up using it as two separate units. And that worked out really good so I could put it in my kids rooms. A big plus to this kit is I was able to still use it in two separate rooms. I just used some black plugs and they look great. The doors came with euro style hinges and those are good to adjust as needed. One thing I did not like is the compressed wood because if you mess up it strips really easily. But luckily I didn’t have that issue. Overall it got the family stamp of approval and we hope it lasts a long time.

The CLOSETMAID STYLE+ TEAK SHOE SHELF KIT FOR 25 IN. W STYLE+ TOWER (2-PACK), is a solid product. My only issue is that it is very easy to chip when assembling so be VERY CAREFUL and precise. Once the product is assembled, there should be no issues. You can easily fit two normal pair of shoes or three pairs of kid's shoes. I put the shoe shelf at the bottom of the unit to maximize space and my teenage son is happy with the product!

This is a very well organized wardrobe assembly kit. It is made by Closetmaid, a very reputable company. The wood parts of the kit are very well made, they are pre-drilled and cut for the hardware. assembly is easy, just follow the step by step directions. The small shelf system comes with brown shaker doors, again all pre-drilled and all hardware, handles and hinges are furnished. the doors measure 24 5/8" x 30 1/8"

I am kind of shocked I was able to put this together. I learned how to mount screws for drywall. I have a lot of clothes so I was worried about the whole thing collapsing. It seems study so far.

The Closetmaid style+ shelf kit is a nice upgrade for your closet or any space needing some storage. It was very easy to put together and instructions are easy to follow. The boards are on the heavy side so they will need to be pretty secure when you put them up. The quality seems good and hopefully will last for years. Boards are a nice size for storing larger items. Putting the top shelf and hanging shelf in my laundry room to give it an instant upgrade.

First thing to remember with this product is that it is 100% useless if you do not have the main standard closet kit to put it in. There is nothing to this kit except 2 shelves and two metal bars. I was very disappointed in this kit as first I noticed the metal bars were not even long enough to fit between the two holes. Then I realized they were also to fat to stick in the holes they were supposed to go in.

Although its' primary use would be to upgrade a clothes closet, I got the CLOSETMAID STYLE+ 48 IN. WHITE MELAMINE TOP SHELF KIT WITH HARDWARE to solve a problem with my utility closet. I needed more shelving for all the vacuum cleaner attachments, the wet and dry mop refills and everything else you use in the normal cleaning of your household. The unit went together very quickly in less than 15 minutes. The unit is easy to hang because it comes with a bar that is mounted on the wall first and then you just hang the unit on that bar and then reinforce it, easily done by one person. It comes with a few options of hardware to use depending on the type of installation (studs or drywall). I think it is a great way to solve storage problems, it certainly solved mine.

These doors are made of melamine which is a mixture of resins to make a durable surface that can be overlayed to form a decorative surface. This is the coastal teak wood look which is that greyish brown beach look. It is a nice look for a closet system. This is made to cover the shelf openings on part of the closet kit. It is easy to assemble and has the hardware and satin nickel door pulls included. There are many different add on parts to customize any closet. It comes in several other colors including white.

I have an empty wall in my master bedroom walk in closet where I NEEDED SOME EXTRA SHELVEING AND CABINETS, so I went to my Home Depot and started looking and checking for the "ready made items that would work for me. My logical choice was easy to make as Closet Maid had the best products both in size, quality and color to meet my needs. The shelf and cabinet are an excellent addition which really meets our requirements, both in quality and style.

Our main closet keeps improving with each ClosetMaid add-on and this particular combo is great! And with the standard tower you can add more shelving along with the angled shoe shelves...... The entire system is very affordable, sturdy and looks more expensive then it is. The finish on the shelves is scratch resistant but also looks stylish and modern. One shelf had a minor nick, but it won't show once assembled...... The instructions are very thorough and it’s easy to assemble. Not only that, there are so many different ways this can be configured and combined with the other ClosetMaid’s closet modules. And the Teak color does look classy.
