I wanted to re-wire 2 antique lamps, and these kits made it an absolute cinch! I didn't need the adapters, and I was able to figure that out from the instructions which are way better than for many DIY items I've bought in the past. My late Aunt Mary's sweet li'l lamps have new life for me and my sister. You can't go wrong with this kit!

I bought this kit to make a bottle lamp for a family member. This was the easiest DIY kit I have ever used. I used a bottle of tequila. And I also used the cork that came with the bottle. I purchased a tile/glass drill bit from HD. I started off by drilling a hole in the back of the bottle with a 5/16 drill bit. I then took the cork off the the top to use with one of the enclosed adapters. I took the grommet that is on the lamp kit, and put it in the hole. I then ran the wire through the opening, through the lamp kit. I wired the lamp kit, installed briefly on bottle, put a CFL bulb and tested it. Success!!! I bought a bag of aquarium rock to use for weight, give it color, and to hide the wire.

I purchased this complete wiring kit to replace one whose on/off switch had failed. The original wiring was over 10yrs old so I chose to replace everything. The kit had everything I needed and the instructions were easy to follow and complete. The lamp now looks new and works as advertised.

I think it was a bit overpriced, but it works fine. It's hard to screw this up... HD would not have it in the store otherwise. :-)

It worked perfectly for the DIY industrial lamp I made. The directions were a bit small to ready, but other than that it was very good.

Great way to turn an empty bottle into a lamp. Simple drill a hole in the back of the bottle, feed wire through hole to the bottle neck, plug up hole with one of three plugs included, assemble rest according to the instructions on the back of the package, and wha-la, you have a bottle lamp.

Very simple to assemble, plenty of cord. Will be using again

I needed a replacement plug to fill the neck of a jug made into a lamp. I had all the other parts and needed a 1" plug. There were only smaller one in your kit. I had to wrap extra material around the plug to fit my jug. Your on-line description did not include size information and the product was not available in-store.

I used this kit to turn a pretty blue glass water bottle into a bedroom lamp. Following the directions, I made the lamp in about 5 minutes. I would heartily encourage my friends to buy one of these and turn their odd bottles into treasures.

I am starting my own line of lamps and I had to create my prototype. This was my 1st time ever using a lamp kit. What I liked about the product is I was able to use it with my wine bottles. What I didn't like about the product is the instructions weren't clear enough for me. I had to have a neighbor put it together for me. I think the instructions need to be clearer.
