Installed this in my new tub, its been less than a week and already lost the finish and color. Nothing abrehsive has been used

Floppy stopper makes it feel cheap and gives the appearance it’s installed incorrectly but it’s just a bad design. Still usable so I got over it. But it has been less than a month since it was installed and the bronze finish is already coming off. Absolute garbage.

Bought the oil rubbed bronze 1 year ago and installed. See picture but finish came off. Only used scrubbing bubbles. No harsh chemicals. Don't waste your money.

A perfect replacement for a broken drain

Bought two of these to replace two badly pitted tub stopper rings, only to find out from the home's prior owner that they had used the same product not that long ago. The new one began to corrode almost immediately and it is now badly stained and starting to pit (never even got around to replacing the second pitted stopper ring). Might have thought it was the water supply, but not one other brand of drain fitting in the house has any damage at all (including many that have been in place for two decades), only these DANCO stopper kits. Ridiculous how quickly and pervasively the metal corrodes. Will NEVER buy again.

Product finish will peel off... I have replaced this once already thinking I had a defective one. The second one peeled off as well.

The drain stopper is fairly easy to install, however, the actual stopper is incredibly wobbly/loose while in the open position. It looks ridiculous. The old Danco drains did not have this problem. Not sure why they’d make a change. Returning the item tomorrow and going to another store for a better product.

DO NOT GET THE DARK COLOR. I had this drain for maybe a month and it started peeling and shipping showing the silver underneath. It was great finding flecks of paint on the kids after giving them both a bath. This brand is terrible and it can not withstand normal running water— hence the chipping and peeling. DO NOT BUY

Replaced only the drain which was quite easy, it looks great and works great.

This lift and turn tub drain kit with overflow in brushed nickle solved two problems for me. 1, My shower drain stopper broke and I needed a new one. 2, I replaced my tub and shower fixtures with delta fixtures with a brushed nickle finish and my old overflow and drain did not match. The only thing I dislike about this kit is when you have the drain locked open, the drain stopper sets unlevel with a bunch of play.

Remodeled my bathroom and went with oil bronze hardware, faucets, light fixture, etc. Shower kit did not have the tub drain kit. The Danco tub kit matched perfectly!! It was easy to install too. The only negative for me it that the stopper won't stay up. You really have to keep playing with it until it does. It could be how it was installed; not sure. Other than that, it's great.

1st one didn't fit had to return it. They are supposed to have a sleeve to fit different size tub openings, the first one didn't have it. 2nd one had the sleeve fit perfect, works like it should. 5 star for proper one, 1 star for improper one that the guy gave me, so 3 for the average.

Excellent lift-and-turn tub drain kit in oil rubbed bronze. Enhanced the look of my bathtub. Was very easy to install.

This product works great and looks great in my tub.

I will returning this defective product.. The first time tub was used yesterday the bronze finish started rolling off the stopper and the drain. I have spent thousands of dollars on renovations of three bathroom and could not believe my eyes. Now I have to pay to have this changed out and it was only used once. Not happy with this product.

This kit can be a good value for the DIY home owner; as long as you are aware of what you are getting. It comes with a rubber gasket on the drain seat that will cause the drain seat to set up a fraction of an inch. On some tubs that can cause a small amount of water from completely draining from around the edge of the drain. You can remove this gasket and seat it with plumbers putty if that will bother you. The lift and turn stopper lays ajar when in the open position, that is just how it is designed. This kit was easy to install and it had all the parts we needed. We updated our guest bath that is about 18 years old. I have provided some install photos. I hope they help. Take a look at the 18'" long "rope" of hair that was attached to the old drain when I pulled it off. Getting that out made it all worth the effort!

First off, the drain and stopper went in easily enough with little-to-no issues. My problem is that the stopper is designed to be loose when it is in the "open" position. This baffles me because it looks really weird and the force of the faucet causes the drain to close (no matter if you turn it exactly 180 degrees from "closed" or not). It just flops about and sits canted to the side. I don't know why a design decision like this was made, but I am sure it resulted in MANY refunds and a loss of business, so hopefully Danco learned from their mistake. If it weren't for this one thing I would love this product. It looks great on its own and the color matches our hardware perfectly. If you don't mind the stopper being loose and floppy then it is a good looking product for cheap, but with the nice, new hardware we just put in the tub/shower this stopper makes the tub look bad.

When in the open position, the stopper is not securely fastened to the stem and sits loosely on an angle, instead of a horizontal position. The design using the set screw is not the best. Will be returning the item to the store.

The overall quality seems ok. But the height is very short, only around 1”. You may have trouble engaging the drain threads.

Wrong every way. Only choice. Cheap quality.

This product was exactly what I needed to convert my two hole overflow to a one hole overflow when I updated my bathroom.

The drain screwed in easily. I wrapped the threads in Teflon tape and put plumber's putty under the lip of the drain. The overflow has a cutout that allows water to flow out. I had no use for the silver backer piece since the overflow pipe had a threaded center piece. Now my shower and faucet match with the drain.

The men that put it in said that it went in quickly. It is working well.

This drain kit was the fastest and most economical solution to my situation in which the old drain was broken and would not filter the large items from going down the drain. Once the old was removed this new insert installed easily and is functioning as expectes.
