This is a good saw for the price. Dewalt tools are of high quality and easy to operate. I own many other Dewalt power tools and it is a brand I have learned to trust.

I've had this saw for 2 years. Used it quite a lot, excellent saw. Last week something inside sparked and it quit working. I sent it in for repairs. Today a brand new saw arrived, no charge! How awesome to have a company that actually stands by their warranty!

We gave this to our son for his 50th birthday. He built a book case around his fireplace. It looks great.

Performs as expected, very well.

I wore out a cheap B&D saw; overwork killed it. I wanted a well built tool. I got one in this saw. It is HEAVY after using the cordless B&D, and the blade is loose in the clamp mechanism. Put a good blade in it and it will definitely cut with authority. Now if it will just last....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i've cut through just about everything with this. tree branches, tubs, metal pipes, everything. use the right blade, of course. easy to install or change the blades and they lock in securely with no fuss. blades can also be mounted for downward cuts or sideways cuts.

Just the right tool I need to tackle those difficult projects around the home and yard.

Bought with pruning blades to trim branches around yard. Performed up to expectations.

Although the tool is very good, it just seems amazingly bad for the company to not even include one blade to go with it. I couldn't believe it, I had to put in a new order in order to be able to use it.

The saw arrived at the store, as advertised, ans went to work imediatey. It was easy to use and easy to switch blades, either fro th horizental poiton to the vertical position.

The blade wobbles over 1/4" in the vertical and horizontal direction. With the lever blade system there seems to be no set screw to tighten the blade. Other companies restrict the wobble to a 1/16" to 1/8" tolerance. The saw has excellent power so when starting a cut, especially in metal, the wobble makes it a challenge to hit the mark.

I cut out a metal tub and it made the job very easy, the metal blades (Dewalt brand) did not last at all went thru 2 before the job was done.

From the unboxing and first use you can tell this is a quality product. Owned for one month now and this thing just doesn't quit. Love the power and the durability. A few competitors had products where the rubber covering would slip a bit and I didn't like that aspect for safety (grip) reasons. In contrast, this model feels well made and US made is an extra bonus. Primarily used to cut 8-10 inch logs for projects, and with the right blade, it continues to exceed my expectations. Super smooth operation with minimal vibration. Very nice price point as well. Great job DeWalt!

Good power and gets the job done

Have owned this for a month now and wonder why I never bought it sooner. Great tool to have on hand! Easy to change out blades, balanced feel in the hands and power to spare. Have already tackled several projects that I have been putting off. With this Reciprocating saw they were a breeze. Knocked them out 1,2,3... Already looking for my next project around the house... Quality is so good that I'm now looking at other DEWALT tools to purchase.

This Saw has plenty power to get the job done. I was using a Jigsaw, but never again. I noticed one reviewer used his saw 10 years and went to use it one day and found it broke in two. Well it did not break itself. Someone must have backed over it with their car or truck. This is a very tough made saw and it would not just break in two. I am extremely pleased with this saw and I do recommend it to all my friends and family.

I bought this for use at Habitat for Humanity. This saw gets the job done. Lots of demo work.
