I wanted a circular saw that didn’t have a cord attached to it, but the draw back that the cordless saws was way under power and the battery wasn’t strong enough to last very long. Not any more Dewalt have heard us. This cordless saw comes with a 60V Max Lithium-Ion battery. With the 60V is give the motor more power and torque to cut through like the corded ones. This saw acts like a regular 110v saw. I used it about for about 15 minutes and it still had over half its power left. I was cutting 2 x 4 and 1/2” 1 x 4. The depth of cut is 2 9/16”. One nice feature it has is a Electronic brake that stops the blade after the trigger is released. The only drawback is the charger fan is a little nosier than my other brand chargers. This one is a keeper, time to get rid of my corded circular saw. Other great product from Dewalt.
I have to admit I have only had this Delta saw for about a week so my overall experience with it is limited but so far I LOVE IT! 1. It's powerful-I have been using it to cut plywood this week and it has been a workhorse. I cut both 1/2" and 3/4" plywood and the saw worked as well as a regular corded saw. 2. The battery has lasted surprisingly long. I charged the battery when I got the saw and have not had to charge it since and I've run it on and off for a couple of days now. 3. I like the electronic brake that stops the spinning of the blade when you take your finger off the switch. 4. I like the built in and automatic work light on the front of the tool. 5. I like the blade wrench that stores in a slot in the body of the saw-no more looking for a wrench to change the blade-it's right there. I am covering the floor in my attic with plywood. I have a small opening to get into my attic so I had to cut the plywood for the floor into 2 and 4 foot wide x 8 foot long pieces. I cut the 4x8' sheets outside with the saw and it worked great. I took these cut pieces up to the attic and then used the saw up there to cut them into the lengths and widths I needed to fit the floor space, go around some projections, etc. It's so handy not having to drag a cord around. That's why I got an extra battery so I won't have any downtime using this saw. The downside is that the battery+charger is expensive. The good news is that once you buy the battery and charger (like in this kit) the other Dewalt Flex volt tools are compatible and are value priced. If you use or need a reciprocating saw or table saw, etc. in addition to a circular saw this is a great system to go with because of the powerful battery system. I hope you find this helpful.
I was wary of a battey powered impact drill but this one passes the test. No problems taking rusty bolts or lig nuts off.

Powerfull
Highly recommended. I purchased it at my local Home Depot along with a drill set that included two DCB207 batteries. To my surprise one of the batteries already had a full charge as indicated by the charger. I took it to my garage and in a little more than 2 minutes, using the van's jack and a 3/4 socket, I had the van on stands and the wheels off. It not only had enough power to take the lug nuts off, but it jacked the van up with ease. Both tasks took mere seconds. I'll be putting this wrench in our van for our holiday trip across the turnpike.
The trigger is a much improved version than that of the 18v DW059B in that it slides straight back, and doesn't tilt like the 059 making it seem like it handles better. It is heavy like the 059, but that is to be expected. The detent seems hard and made it difficult at times to put a socket on. But compared to the other features, it is a minimal gripe. The built-in light wasn't helpful until I needed an expedient light source. I simply tapped the trigger and I had several seconds of light. And, of course, it uses the 20v max batteries which seem to be a much better system than the 18v.
Bottom line, it’s a good product worth every penny I paid for it. The Home Depot I shopped was excellent as well. The attendant in the self-check-out line had the tool to take the security tag off so I didn't have to wait in a long line. This was my first Dewalt purchase, but It won't be my last.

I was surprised how much power this saw has. I was worried that this cordless saw could not match the power of my previous corded saw. The 9Ah battery that was included was a nice bonus. The included tool bag was great as well.

Very disappointed with the battery. Doing some basic ripping with 1/2 plywood it only lasted 3 hours and it was not being used all that much. I have had it three weeks. I like the portability of it especially on a roof. I have thought about returning it because of the battery. This is not an inexpensive tool..,

Brought it right back as soon as I got it. Way to heavy for all day use. The battery is way too big for the saw.

It cuts like corded saw. I couldn’t ask for everything more. Except it would be nice if the handle were a little thicker , I have maybe larger than average hands.

Catch it before the deal ends!
Cruising through 6x6PT posts with this saw.
Powerful, great sight lines, convenient adjustment/ergonomics, rafter hook is great. Beefy, but comparable to most corded saws.
- If this is your garage saw, this kit will do.
- Big projects you’ll want at least 2x 9ah FVs
I estimate 1-2hrs on a full charge cutting any PT lumber. (1hr continuous cuts /1.5-2hr Cut and move -6x6 treated
-Could squeeze a little more juice cutting untreated lumber or 2x4 only.
Around 1hr to charge.
Love it.

Best cordless saw I've ever used.
This thing is stout and I'm impressed with the longevity of the 9ah battery as well. My only complaint is the rapid charger that was included with this saw and another that was included with my drill stopped working within a year of purchase. I have Milwaukee chargers that are over a decade old and none of them have given up on me.
That being said, the tool itself has far exceeded my expectations. I would be inclined to purchase more of DeWalt's flexvolt lineup if they gave more incentives.
