Nice looking tile but very expensive and difficult to install
The product has a very nice finish and looks sharp but the cost is 3 times more than standard tile. I have been doing tile for many years but this snap and lock tile is very difficult to install as it takes a bit of effort to lock it in. The grout leaves a residue on the tile even after several washings. I'll stick with reg tile and go through the glue process as it's much easier than theis locking system and over half the cost.

I requested the DALTILE QUICTILE 12 IN. X 24 IN. CALACATTA MARBLE POLISHED PORCELAIN to transform two spaces in our 30 year old ranch. I am pretty handy, but setting large format tile without ending up with lip-age I could never master. I like the 1/3 offset markings on the length side of the tile for easy reference. The tiles do just lock right to each other, but make your floors are sound and flat. My bathroom is not I have a center joist that is higher so I have to remove the old floor and level the floor with a leveling compound. I also have multiple cuts to make I will make with my friends wet saw. The Quicprep has a grid pattern on it for easy cutting with a razor knife. I know I will like the Quictile grout because it's Flexible so if you have any flex in your floor your grout will not crack and come out of the joints. It is stain resistant and antimicrobial

    Love this stuff!
I've never installed tile before and was a bit reluctant to take on the job at first. After watching the instructional video by QuicTile I felt a lot more confident. I referenced the video throughout the job and it was super helpful. The fact that the tiles lock together made things way easier for a DIY'er like me. I like that this tile can be installed over your old flooring and that there is no mortar involved. The install went smoothly and I successfully pulled off the job and it looks better than I expected it would. I honestly consider myself a tile guy now.

      Don't waste your money!
Warning! Don't purchase. I just had my 2 bedrooms renovated. This flooring was properly and professionally installed. It started cracking right away. Even when the contractor was making cuts, the floor cracked. It is not durable at all. It's very delicate. We are nervous to walk on it! The manufacturer won't do anything about it. Now I have 2 beautiful new bathrooms with cracked and chipped flooring. Don't use it! I wish I could add more than 6 photos.

Not the time saving as you would think, but much less mess.
Used the Cliff Stone for a bathroom and the tolerance is 3/8 rise or fall over a 10 foot run. Which translates into a perfect flat floor with no defects of dips or rises. I put this on top of an existing tile floor in a bathroom to save time and mess. As others have said not so much a time saver as you still need cut for size and to "click in" which is not as easy as indicated. You need to be very careful when using a tool to help pound the side to click in. I chipped the porcelain top on two tiles but could hide at the edge. The saving is the mess. Very little mess as you only to grout. So far happy with the results and would recommend with the above caveats.

          It looks great
I renovated 3 of my bathrooms. The tile is beautiful and it gave my bathrooms a perfect look. The installation time wasn’t as it says on the package, it takes more time. Overall I’m satisfied with this products.

Looks good, but just go traditional.
I just finished installing Quictile in my kitchen. It looks as good as standard tile. However, you pay a premium price for the claimed time savings. I have done many tile projects and can tell you that this takes just as much time. Unlike tile this product is unforgiving and much more is wasted on the particular way you need to install it. You also have to pay for Quictile underlayment and overpriced grout. Simply put Quictile takes just as much time and effort for 3-5 times the cost. Just go with traditional tile.

This is an unbelievable product. I was skeptical about what a floating porcelain would look like and what the installation would actually entail but this stuff of amazing. This is going in a basement laundry room over a finished concrete floor and we had it done in an afternoon. The underlayment was thick enough to hide some minor imperfections in the existing floor and these tiles went in easily and snapped together without issue. The finish is flawless and we couldn’t be happier

              Not bad at all
This almost turned out to be a pain installing but luckily the rest of my floors were level and that made it a breeze. I found an easier way of clicking the tiles prior to laying it down flatly. I was able to easily undo the tiles when i needed to switch some tiles.

If you’re looking to save some time laying tile look somewhere else.
We bought this tile because it was beautiful and sounded easy to install. Having just tiled our bathroom using the traditional method, we were looking to save some time in our remodel. I am a DIYer and have laid ceramic tile, hardwood flooring and laminate flooring in the past, so I’m no stranger to home improvements. The 3 step process is a joke. I spent 4 hours trying to get the first few rows started before almost giving up. If you don’t have perfectly flat floors and square walls prepare for a battle. Step 1 - laying the underpayment was a breeze - no issues. Step 2 - clicking the tiles together was a nightmare. The locking system is fragile and breaks easy, meanwhile the tiles pull away from each other if you tap with a mallet and wedge. 4 hours later I was able to get through the first few rows with the help of friends and family to act as weights on the tiles while the remaining were locked together. Day 2 and hour 6-8 went easy finishing the remaining room the click and lock system went fine. The tiles won’t cut with a normal score and snap cutter so you need a wet saw, which I had. However the rubber bottom on the tile tends to gum up the blade so I had to get a new one, more time, more hassle. Step 3 - grouting went quick and easy. The unique grout glides over the tiles when moistened before applying. We cleaned up the tiles shortly after applying to a 3x4 area and moved on. Upon completion went over the tiles again with a clean sponge and water. Step 4 - take a glass cleaner and clean up the clear glue/film on the tile. Not easy so we ended up using a straight razor to help. The tile is beautiful but not worth the extra money or time. When we do our next room we will use the traditional tile method. Save your money and time.

                  Broken when received...Twice
I ordered twice and both times boxes came broken. I was on a time crunch so I had to take the broken ones instead of waiting for a 3rd order. I appreciate them discounting it, but the product seems weak and unreliable.

the tile is fine but it came damaged - broken and chipped tiles. Had to order extra. It is fairly fragile. Best to have it delivered to store and check before accepting

Hello! Thank you for your understanding. It is always best practice to double check any and all products you recieve via shipments in every industry. We reccomend ordering at a 10% overage to help to this into account. Our product is still able to be installed with broken locking mechanisms provided the break is under 1 inch in size. Urethane grout cracking after 6-8 months
I had this professionally installed on a 500 square foot surface. The very expensive firm I hired recommended this to me. I can compare with regular tile because I had that installed elsewhere in my house. This floating tile is expensive, the waste when cutting it is awful compared with regular tile, so you end up wasting a LOT. I assess that my contractors threw out about 30% of the purchased. Installation is hard!! And urethane grout is cracking after 8 months. I would NOT buy again!

Hello LaSP, We apologize for the issues you encountered with your installation. A call to technical support would have been very benificial as we could have steered you around most if not all of the problems detailed above. Our technical team can be very effective in preventing the issues described above and highly encourage cusomers to give us a call if it feels like something may be incorrect during the installation process. The number one reason for grout detachment is an unlevel subfloor whereby the tile is installed on an uneven surface causing it to “rock” when pressure is applied to the tile. This movement places strain on the grout causing the grout to not properly adhere and thus detach from the mechanism.

                      tiles
Bought these tiles thinking it would be fast and easy Never Again. I ended up pulling them and gluing them down. the end pieces break off so locking is difficult. I would totally recommend regular porcelain tiles and mud.

We apologize for your poor experience with our tile. Our 12”x24” porcelain tiles are heavy, and care must be used when handling. Regarding the click edges, some amount of broken/missing click edges are acceptable for installation. These clicks are used for correctly spacing the tiles during placement. The urethane grout is a major bonding component of the system.

For proper assembly techniques, go to (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KikfOrCcvgs) and scroll to 8:00 and note the way in which the tiles are clicked together.
                      • If you are having issues connecting the ends, note that the instructions say to use a 6 inch “Guide Tile” to assist this step. Without this Guide Tile, properly connecting the ends will indeed be frustrating.
                      • If you are using a rubber mallet, replace that with a hard plastic-headed mallet. The large rubber one is too bouncy for large, heavy tiles.
For checking out subfloors, see section 3:00 on the installation video.

Grout came out - Do not recommend at all.
I have hired a great company that I have worked with on multiple projects to install this tile in my master bathroom. Grout came out and. I had them come again and re grout - left to dry for 2 full days. Less that a week later grout came out again. I want to rip it off completely and get a regular tile instead of click on. waste of money.

Hello MS87, we apologize for the complications you had with the installation and appreciate your feedback. The main culprits that lead to cracking grout are the following: use of a traditional grout instead of the required urethane grout, light traffic upon the surface prior to 48 hours curing or major traffic prior to 72 hours curing, and an uneven subfloor.
The number one reason for grout detachment is an unlevel subfloor whereby the tile is installed on an uneven surface causing it to “rock” when pressure is applied to the tile. This movement places strain on the locking mechanism causing the grout to not properly adhere and thus detach from the mechanism. Each porcelain tile had a significant longitudinal bow to it. The tile could not flex and the snap/qlic connection system on each tile was extremely brittle making it impossible to connect the tiles together along their long axis in a brick style pattern. You could not install the floor. I had to return the complete floor order...very dissapointing.

                          Hello Phil,
We apologize for the difficulties you experienced with your project. DalTile QuicTile is a porcelain product with no flex to the product unlike other floating floor systems such as vinyl or laminate. When installing the product, installation relies upon the installer’s ability to angle the clicking mechanism together and use of tapping blocks. However, if you are facing any issues with tile or subfloor, we recommend installing the tile in a 33% offset pattern as shown in the Project Ideas document. Using a “brick style” 50% offset will cause any existing issues to become more prominent and may hinder the installation. Tile manufactures can make mistakes, if you feel you have received defective product, we highly encourage you to contact us at 1-877-757-8421. We look forward to hearing from you.
