Installed in Garage Conversion Bathroom
I am 90% finished with installation of this shower stall and felt it would be a good time to write my review. I have been able to use the shower twice already and will update my review in a few weeks should anything change. It’s important to understand that reading these reviews are really not going to make a whole lot of sense until you actually attempted to install this shower. The issues folks have ran into and the obstacles that you will run into really can’t be appreciated until you actually experience it. I put this shower together myself and it took about 2 hours for me to get it together. Looking back it would have been a lot easier if I had help but at the time I wanted to put it together I was alone. Overall the shower stall is a good buy if it meets your specific need like I had. I needed a quick, cost effective way to get a shower in a garage conversion and for that it is perfect. Here is a brief summary of my experience. Shipping: The stall was delivered in just a few days after I ordered it and with the tracking info I knew when to expect it. To my surprise the box it came in was much smaller and lighter than I expected. When I got home from work and saw it sitting on my lawn I said $50 bucks to ship this is crazy. I picked the box up with one hand and carried it inside. I could have easily picked it up from home depot and stuck it in my Honda Civic and pay no shipping. All the parts were there and nothing was damaged. Snapping together the walls was a bit tricky. The instructions are worthless so I strongly recommend you watch the short install video a few times before and during the install. Once you have watched it you can pretty much wing the installation by just looking at the parts. The screws that came with the stall to fasten it to the base are worthless and expect to use some other screws that can actually screw through the plastic. The shower head and faucet are made of very cheap plastic and you MUST use the plumping tape when connecting or it WILL leak. My friend who is a contractor came over a few days after I put the stall together and connected the drain and utility pump I needed to use. That part of the install was pretty standard and shouldn’t be different than any other shower base. Once the base is connected to the drain sitting the stall on the base and having it lock into place was extremely frustrating. There were a few times where I didn’t think it was possible and wanted to throw the entire stall I the garbage. The issue is when you get one side locked in the other pops out and then repeat. Ultimately I was successful and I think screwing the stall to the base once I got it snapped in was a huge help. Once the shower was all together it actually worked really well. It was sturdy, strong, and even the cheap shower head had great water flow. I connected the drain to a pump because I didn’t have a drain low enough to access and it works perfectly pumping out the water. My next step is to caulk the edges of the baser to ensure a complete seal. That looks to be the easy part and I believe this shower is not going to leak at all. In fact the two times I used it looked around to makes sure there was no water leaking out. If you are installing this stall where it is not free standing and plan to build a wall around it I recommend that you don’t put the drywall up until after you have used it a few times and feel 100% confident you are not going to get leaks. I don’t plan on putting up the dry wall until I get some other things done in this bath room and will update my review. Overall I am pleased with the product and would recommend. That being said the past few days while I was dealing with putting it together and installing I would have had a different recommendation

Worked Well For Me
I bought and installed this in an existing bathroom in a modular office building that we use occasionally on a farm. It is a light weight unit which makes it easy for adding a shower to a new location. Since this is a light weight unit, it may not hold up well to hard everyday use like in a rental property. The bathroom was handicapped accessible which left a large opening between the toilet and sink, so I put the shower into the existing space. The shower goes together pretty quickly, its flimsy until you get the middle brace and top on, and with the whole thing assembled its reasonably stiff and easy for one person to maneuver into place. The installation was pretty easy with just me and my wife involved. I'm an experienced DIY type, my wife is not. The provided fixture is pretty cheap, but works fine for my purposes, I would upgrade and buy your own if you are going to use this shower everyday. The fittings for the controls, head, and drain are all standard and easy to hook up if you have basic plumbing know how. My installation has a crawl space so I just had to cut the 5.5" hole for the drain and I ran the supply plumbing inside the wall behind the shower. The instructions say to caulk the pan before inserting the walls, which I did, but I really don't see the point since this just gets caulk all over the pan and you try to wiggle all the walls into place, I would just caulk everything after assembly, if you caulk at all, caulk isn't necessary to keep it leak tight it may just cut down on mold in the cracks etc. The wall that you mount the shower head through is thin so if you are using a heavier shower head you may want to glue or screw a backer board on this area, the supplied lightweight head will be no problem. The supplied shower curtain is made of the thinnest plastic currently known to mankind, so you may want to upgrade. I am very satisfied with this purchase, for sub $200 I put up a fully functional 1 person shower in about 3.5 hours, 2.75hrs of which was routing the supply and drain plumbing, it only took us about 45 minutes to put the shower together taking our time and going step by step with the instructions.

Nice for my needs.
I installed this in an off-grid bathhouse along with a propane instant water heater (Triton 10L). The stall goes together pretty easy. The shower curtain is way cheap and I replaced it with a good heavy duty variety. I did not use the water valve provided but it looked pretty cheap too. All in all I thought the stall to be very adequate for my needs, reasonably good design and construction, easy to install and an excellent value. I should mention too that I got all my bathhouse materials at Home Depot. Worked out great!

So far a good stand in.
I bought the Durastall as a stand in for while I remodel my upstairs bathroom. The shower ended up getting put in the basement, and just that fact made it difficult to install, due to having to dig through concrete to plum it in. We built a base for it to stand on for gravity, and have it hooked up to a Drainosaur water pump. Getting it on it's base was difficult because my basement ceiling is only 7 feet high with lots of pipes to work around. Assembly is pretty easy until you put it into context, but I guess that says more about my house than the product. The shower arrived with a piece broken off the base. I tried to email the company about getting a new one, or wether this could be fixed with PVC glue and never heard back from them. It was still functional with the chipped piece and I didn't want to wait to order a new one. Overall, I am happy with how it turned out and the price is unbeatable.

Easier than I thought
I installed a 6 inch subfloor and made sure it was level. That made this project easier than I thought. Looks great and looking forward to have people use it.

Shower valve threads for hot water could not be used due to very low quality
I drilled the proper holes in the shower stall to install the supplied hot/cold water valve but could not connect the hot water line to it. The plastic threads were worn out. This came right out of the sealed package. The cold water threads were fine. I went to HD to purchase another hot/cold water valve but they don't carry a 4 inch center valve. I had to purchase an 8 inch valve for $60. Look at my picture....had to do a patch job on a brand new shower stall.

Awesome assembly layout
A shower in minutes. Amazing. Nice assembly layout. Did not take much room. We took a corner of our shop and made a shower room for those who don't want to go home dirty. Had to build a platform to get a good pitch for the drain. Perfect shower for the job.

Good for Small Space
The shower stall was a bit challenging to put together with just one person even though it looked easy in the video. It was an affordable replacement to our old shower and a good fit to our extra small bathroom.

Nice Shower Stall
The stall was easy to assemble but it did take some time (like 6 hours). It helped that I already had a for drain prepared for it. I don't think the stall manufacturers did enough to warn people about the need to consult a plumber for the proper drainage. The written instructions were not easy to decipher. The video for assembly that the manufacturer put online was an ENORMOUS help in understanding the printed instructions.

good inexpensive shower unit.
Decent shower kit for the price. Nothing fancy. Bought this for my cabin. I suggest using two people to assemble as it is a little tricky. Overall I would say it's a decent product.

not bad
My husband installed it. Wasn't anywhere near as easy to install as the video makes you think. With it being so small the soap bar thing isn't a good idea. But we got it in and it works

Excellent deal for adding a shower on a budget!
Not a fancy unit but great for adding a small stall on a budget. A bit difficult to assemble with only one person but not impossible! Once built the unit is quite sturdy on its own. But when fastened to a solid wall it is as solid as any fiberglass stall costing twice as much. Functions excellent as a shower should. Would def recommend this product to others.

Great for a small space and easy to assemble.
We have property in the forest and needed a modular shower stall to place in a small area. The shower room is only three feet by five feet so space is very limited. This unit fit the requirements perfectly. Reading reviews for this unit and looking at other similar shower stalls available helped make our decision. The shower does, at first, seem a bit flimsy but after it is assembled it is adequately sturdy. The flexibility of the shower stall actually allowed us to fit it into our cramped space. Instructions were clear and the on-line video helped visualize the process. Due to the layout of our available space, we had to get a little creative with assembly and shower placement but again, the flexibility of the shower stall worked to our advantage. The price is reasonable and the quality is fine for its intended purpose.

Not to bad
My husband was trying to put together the shower, which straight out of the box seems ridiculously flimsy, and he was having issues. I asked if he read the directions and he said yes so I got up and tried to help get the walls into the corner locks...It was impossible so I asked again if he read the directions and he said he looked at the diagram. Boys, I swear....so I read the directions which had an extremely helpful tip about how to get the walls into the locks and guess what? I had it done in no time! We did replace the shower head and knobs because we wanted them to be pretty, and we did put it in a corner and build a third wall so it is completely enclosed, but it is plenty sturdy and will work fine! The shower rail is cheesy and plastic and if anyone put any real pressure on it I am sure it would rip out of the walls, but you can leave it off and seal the holes if you wanted or just be careful. I think this is perfect for our bathroom and I would buy it again, you can't beat the price!

I set it up by myself in about 6 hours, this included the plumbing and drains.

Not worth the money
Don't plan on it being the size it says, my 32" was 33. had to start over on the walls :( Couldn't use half of the items because of the size differences. Since it was an "ordered" product, could've taken it back but then would have had to wait another week (at least) to get a 30" instead and would have had to figure out how to re-box the whole thing because you don't know the size difference until you unpack it. what a pain. would like to give it zero (0) star rating but 1 star is minimum. Cheap flimsy piece of crap. If you can't tell, I'm not happy.

The i stall was fairly easy. I did however have a corner let loose while moving the assebled unit into the opening, which required some effort to get back in. Perhaps a set screwat the top middle and bottom of each side of each panel would stop this. It was still a very easy install

I wanted to have a new shower stall in the basement and this serves the purpose just fine. It does take more that 1 person to assemble and put all together. It took approx 45 min with 3 ppl. in the space I have in my basement. But there would be no way 1 person does this in less than 30 min. I do like my shower as I said needed a new one and a 1pc would not fit down the stairs. All in all satisfied

Functional budget-friendly shower stall. A professional installed this shower which I initially thought flimsy. However, once completed we added one screw from inside shower to stabilize against wall. Works fine.
