Package clearly indicates that this product does not use any construction material and this is why I purchased 30 bags, however, this brand had metal wires, pieces of plastic wrapping, strips of electric wire casing, pieces of painted wood, pieces of colored aluminum and many other assortment of plastics. Only reason I purchased this brand instead of the Home Depot (which it is less expensive because each bag contains .5 cu ft more) was because of the claim it made about it being free of construction materials. Clearly it does and this company makes a false claim! I am very upset because I feel like I was robbed! Do not buy this brand! Just go with the Home Depot brand. The Home Depot brand also has construction site materials but at least this brand is not claiming to not have any!

We pick this same mulch each time we freshen up the back yard. It consistently has the same color and texture year after year. It is cost effective as well in case I need to run back for another bag to finish the job.

This was what I found in just 12 bags. Hard plastic pieces, a piece of rope, a dental pick, lots of plastic bag material, pieces of metal, wire, etc. This is just not acceptable, especially for the price. It also smells horrible.

My issue is that there is a ton of trash in the mulch. My wife pulled several handfuls of broken zip ties, random hard plastic, and pieces of plastic bags out of the first two bags of the 30 we bought. This does not bode well for the other 28 bags

This is the perfect product for your home. The color is consistent from year to year, so as we add gardens or refresh existing gardens, the end results are amazing!

Have always preferred this mulch. It maintains the color all summer and fall. It is great in keeping soil moist around plants and shrubs.

Good quality with no construction debris. It has a nice finish as well.

This mulch appears to be great and has retained it's rich color through long, overnight rain. I almost gave it 4 stars because a couple bags of mulch (out of my 51 bags) appeared moldy straight out of the bag. This moldy look soon disappeared though after it was out of the bag and put on the ground for a little while. You can't hold it against it since it is cooped up in a bag for who knows how long. It quickly gets better once out of the bag.

a couple of years ago I would get a dump-truck of mulch delivered onto my driveway because it was less expensive. Since I've switched to bags of the EarthGro with the color advantage I've been much happier with the results. It's much less work, I don't have the big pile on my driveway for weeks, and it is much cleaner. The real bonus is that the color advantage works and the brown mulch stays brown the whole year. Definitely the way to go. I got Home Depot to deliver a whole pallet of the bags and I will do that from now on considering the super easy process and inexpensive rate was well worth it.

I have purchased this type of Mulch over the last 2 years from home depot. I have had great results with its color staying fast and what a great deal it is when you get 3 bags for 9.99. I love when Spring comes and you can put your yard together and I love home depot more!

Always good mulch. Rated 4 because one bag had a 5” rock and several wood pieces were large 5” long and should be smaller

Coming from Scotts I expected more - I read bad reviews about bad mulch but never thought I would be writing one - 80% of the 20 (of which they only loaded up 18 in my truck - not going to quibble over 2 bags of mulch though) bags were not shredded anything - but instead it was mostly pine bark. Quarter-size pieces of pine bark. I would honestly have to search through the bag for any actual shredded wood. I would not buy it again.

The price was great, but all bags had some degree of mold. I use this brand along my fence and behind shrubs/plants so it really doesn’t matter. Wood mulch doesn’t break down like a Cypress mix which I use around plants and trees.
