This Everbuilt jet pump is small compact and best of all its not cast iron. I say that because cast iron pumps will rust and no one wants rusty water. I will be using this pump for a fish pond so clear water is a must. Everbuilt installation sheet shows very clearly power connections and I have added a photo of the pressure box were power connections are made. Next to the pressure/power box is were the selector switch is located ,just remove the cover to access the switch and set to the power of your choice. My one concern is the clear plastic tubing running from the pump housing to the pressure valve. If the tubing is in a location were there is sunlight alge will grow inside of the tubing and eventually muck up the works. So at 6 gallons per hour I'll have enough water to run a waterfall and provide good circulation in the whole of the pond.

The pump is of good value for it's size. Even if it doesn't last 10 years, i am hoping it will last 5. I like the 3/4 horsepower over the 1/2HP. Everbilt makes good stuff at affordable prices versus paying a premium for other brands that might only last a little bit longer. I think home depot might be associated with them, because I buy a lot of Everbilt from them at good prices.

So far so good, got this pump for our cabin bladder tank as the old cast iron pump was always noisy so went with this thermoplastic body pump. We poured a concrete platform for pumps hoping to keep the hum down and it works with this pump even with that foot under the motor I was a little worried about, it pulls down tight when the base bolts are tightened. So far works great, steady pressure right where we want it and much quieter. Easy install for the 230v. If it lasts 10 years before needing replacement it will be a bargain.

I got the Everbilt 1/2 HP Shallow Well Jet Pump too see how the design has evolved if any. The unit is self-priming after the initial housing is filled with water it is 3/4 HP, pumps 8 GPM at a 10 foot depth at 40 psi with a maximum 65 psi. it is supplied with a 30/50 pressure switch for automatic operation, and a pressure regulator. The pump comes ready to install and is designed for wells with pumping levels of 25 ft. or less. It is fresh water rated for home applications, its fiberglass reinforced thermoplastic, which is corrosion resistant is also light weight coming in just under 17 LBS. The unit is pre-wired for 115/230-Volt operation, but is factory preset at 230-Volt and uses 8 amps at 120 volt and 4 amps at 230 volts. It's motor is fan cooled and thermal overload protected to prevent overheating and extend the life of the motor. Has instructions with pictures in multiple languages and comes with a 1 year warranty.

The Everbilt 1/2 hp shallow well jet pump arrived very quickly, well packaged with all parts and pieces inclusive. I selected it because of the name Everbilt. I have another Everbilt pump that is a good pump. I like the smallness of it and the light weight to place it in service. The specific feature is the dual voltage for 120 or 240 volts. I will use it to fill our pool, using a nearby pond. (with filter of corse). The quality is very good, dependable for many years. It's easy to use and will work out next summer as planned. I like it.

Heavy duty, works great even in my alternative application, good quality cast-iron pump. I use this pump in an external water tank set up at my cabin in the mountains. Because we live on solid bedrock, digging a well would be extremely expensive so we use a 2500 gallon water storage tank, and this pump works perfect for that application. Provides great water flow and water pressure to the house. Nice heavy duty cast-iron design ensures long product life and usage. I do wish the pressure gauge was a little sturdier, but it works efficiently for our uses. It came with very easy to follow instructions for hooking it up and installation and use. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone on a well or an external water tank set up like I have at my office grid cabin. Plus, the draw on our solar system for this pump is minimal, which is always great when you’re living off grid using solar as your main power source.

First off the Everbilt 3/4 HP Shallow water pump was delivered quickly and the packaging was very sturdy considering the weight of the pump, part of it being cast iron. The owners manual seems to be well written and thorough. It can be wired for both 110v and 230v. I have yet to install this as this, as there has been an eight week long wild fire in Northern Colorado, with mandatory evacuations in place. The pictures show the well head where I will try and get this pump installed before the snow flies.

The pump arrived promptly and well packaged, I received notice it was about to be delivered so I was ready for the installation. The pump installed within an hour and was pumping beautifully after a couple of minutes of priming. I love the pump. It looks solidly built and it sounds great running. It replaced a Wayne 1/2 horse pump that had run for the last 15 years.

Right off the bat I could feel the quality of this pump, with the housing made out of corrosion resistant thermoplastic and heavy duty. It weighs 15 pounds. For connections it accepts 1 1/4 pipe on the inlet and 1 inch pipe size on the output side. It has a nice large easy to read PSI gauge mounted in a visible area. It has enough power to pump up to 7 gallons per minute at 0 ft. of lift but also can pump almost 5 gallons per minute at 25 feet of lift. I have a 120 volt line for it but it also can run on 230 volts. Fairly quiet too when mounted securely. The installation is fairly easy with standard tools and supplies, pipe thread tape etc. The installation manual is well written and easy to follow, just be aware that the installation manual covers 2 different models. This is a great value. This 1/2 HP Shallow Well Jet Pump by Everbilt is a well designed and engineered pump. First of all, it comes well packed so whether it is transit to store or transit to home, this is going to be in perfect shape when you take out of the box. Don’t be fooled by the name “Shallow Well”, as it specifications state 143 foot vertical lift! It pumps 7 gallons a minute with the ½ HP prewired 120/230 volt motor. The Thermoplastic construction will not rust. This comes ready to install. Great value for a well pump.

The Everbilt 1/2 HP shallow-well jet pump is another high quality product manufactured and marketed by the Everbilt Corporation. We have a long and completely satisfied experience with this company and this simply continues that experience. While the unit is factory pre-set for 230-Volt, it was an easy process to reset the unit to 115 use. My wife has a large commitment to gardening and this pump is well suited to meet all her needs for consistent watering needs. We highly recommend this pump for a variety of residential uses.

I found an old shallow well head pipe when I tore down an old shed. I guess it was used once to supply water to the shed. This 3/4 horsepower pump will be exactly what we need to supply water to the new garden where the shed once stood. I'll need to build a small pumphouse for this since it doesn't look like it is for outdoors but it isn't wimpy at all. Electricity is nearby. Can't wait to get water going for the new garden.

The EVERBILT 3/4 HP SHALLOW WELL JET PUMP is used as a booster on our secondary storage tank. This unit is a low profile design that allows a great saving of space and only requires limited access for exposures to rodents and insects. The pump is well built and operates with a quite motor. The delivery actually provide ten percent more production of water than listed ion the specifications.

The packaging for this unit was very secure and there was no damage during shipping. The Everbilt 3/4 HP Shallow Well Jet Pump is for shallow wells to supply home drinking water or even a sprinkler system I could work. The pump is pretty much plug and play but had to be primed for initial start up. It is self-priming after initial use. The unit itself will not rust or corrode and has a 1 year warranty. The guage is very easy to read and there also is a plug for draining.

This pump was recieved via delivery with adequate and secure packaging to protect the unit so there was no damage in shipping. The gauge is very clearly displayed and the numbers are clear. The wiring looks straight forward and the it comes with clear instructions to install. The pump is used for wells less than 25' deep. The water hook ups are solid and pvc is recommended. The tube is clear so that you can easily see the water flow though it. You can adjust the pressure easily too.

This is a very solidly built pump and has several uses. I got it to use as a water transfer pump for occasional high water tables, and while luckily I haven't had to "use" it for that yet, I did hook everything up and to "test" it out. For one thing, it is surprisingly quiet for a half horsepower unit which was a nice surprise. Also the unit itself is VERY solid. The best feature in my opinion is that it can run on 230v or 115v but unlike most motors, that require you to open things up and move wires, Everbilt has been nice enough to include a 230/115 switch onboard, thanks!!

Makes a great dewatering pump to cope with a seasonal high groundwater table. I attached this pump to one of several well points installed around my basement (which used to dampen after large storms). The floor slab nominally is at -10 ft., so I drilled to -30, set the foot valve at -25 and dropped water sensors in the casing the cycle the pump from -12 ON to -15 OFF. So far, so good. I don't consume the water domestically, so there is no pressure tank. I built a simple valve manifold to selectively discharge the effluent to (1.) refill my fish pond, (2.) sprinkler my lawn and garden, or (3.) go overboard into the woods. The pump comes with an Owner's Manual. (See photograph 1.) The pump motor is well-ventilated. The pressure switch and wiring connections are readily accessible. (See photograph 2.) It is thoroughly labeled for future reference. (See photograph 3.) Like the outlet (shown on photograph 1), the inlet has clearance for any manner of piping arrangement. (See photograph 4.) With its 3-point mounting system, the pump is quite easy to situate and anchor. (See photograph 5.) Since the pump is not inside, I will have to install a bit of a heater in its doghouse. I'd also like to join it to the other well points with loop piping. (And further plans include some remote valving (solenoid actuated irrigation valves?)). I suppose that would be easiest if I just bought four of these pumps!

I got this pump to use to empty a hot tub monthly when replacing the water. The pump was delivered fast and in one piece. The pressure gauge on it is a nice feature not always included on this style of pump. The plastic tank should hold up to the corrosive chemicals found in the hot tub water better then a metal unit. This pump comes prewired for 230v but can be switched to run on 115v. Switching the voltage was one of the nicest features. It was literally just a slide switch under a cover. I was expecting to have to move eires from one terminal to another so imagine my surprise when I removed the cover and just had to slide the switch. While I have only used the pump once so far it performed well and I expect this to last for quite some time.

This jet pump is ideal for use with shallow wells and is intended to be mounted near ground level beside the well. It is also suitable for general pumping applications, such as circulating water in a swimming pool. I am using mine successfully for an above ground pool. As shipped, the pump operates on 240 volts, but it can easily be adapted for 120 volts. The input and output ports are threaded for standard water pipes. The pump operates very quietly which is especially important for pool applications.

Excellent quality pump. I am generally a fan of everbilt products, as I find their quality control to be pretty good. I was in search of a pump to use in my custom water pumping installation. The whole setup is from a surface source(rain barrels) to an irrigation system controlled by an Arduino running custom software. First thing I noticed about pump operation: REALLY QUIET. Like ridiculously so. I could not get over how a 1/2 horsepower pump can remain so silent up to 50 psi. Might be the fiberglass infused thermoplastic housing that helps with that. Pulling 7 amps at 120V it comes in at a little over 840 watts, and it is a beast. Had no problem pushing the max 50psi it’s rated for. I had to change voltage because it came from the factory said to 230, but that was really quick and easy, as easy as flipping a switch underneath some housing. Cut-in is at 30psi, so if you’ve got an in line pressure tank it will kick in to charge it if it drops to 30psi, and charges to a max of 50. The built in pressure gauge is a nice touch and really helps with quick checks. Nice to not have to tie in your own gauge down the line somewhere else, and know what The pressure is right at the system pump. Just about my only gripe with this whole setup is that it does not include wiring. Not a big deal for me since I am familiar with electrical work, but I could see where it would be a little problematic for people new to this stuff. Instructions are clear though on the electrical install, and it should be easy for most people to do. All in all this pump straddles the perfect line between affordable and high quality. It is definitely a pump I recommend for most shallow well/surface water applications.

This is a really well built shallow well jet pump. I got it as an emergency backup just in case my existing pump died. So I've gone through and inspected the pump and instructions but haven't had a chance to install it yet. From what I can see so far I really like the build quality and the features of the pump. The packing kept it safe in transit and there are clear instructions including markings on everything. I'm confident with what I can see that I'll be able to get this hooked up quickly if needed. The option to switch from 120 to 240 volt is really nice in this regard as I have a few different wells on my property. So, at very least this is a great pump to have in my emergency kit.

The pump packaging was very well done and protected the product nicely during shipping. The pump itself is very well designed and made. The locations of the inlet and outlet are aligned for easy connections. The instruction booklet is excellent. It provides instructions for all possible connection scenarios and is easy to understand yet provides full details required for hook-up. Pump size makes it easy to fit in restricted locations.

Everbilt has made this pump so easy to change from 220 volts to 110 volt with a simple switch. I plan to use this pump to water my garden so I won't purchase a tank. If you plan on using this pump for household water you will need to purchase a tank. This is a shallow well pump capable of 6 gallon of water per minute. Comes with a pressure gauge and the automatic shutoff when pressure is met. I highly recommend this product.

I just got the shallow well water pump in today. And it seems to be a high quality and good looking water pump. It is supposed to Kim out eight gallons of water a minute and it can pump up to sixty Pounds of pressure. The pump comes with clean instructions and you can use standard 110v or 220v ac. Comes factor wired for 220v. The pump has small screw holes on the bottom to mount. Great pump for irrigation or craw spaces to get flooded often. The pump comes with a number right on the pump Incase you need help wiring the device

I was so surprised at the quality of this product. I placed a can of soda in the first picture to show how large this pump is, and the picture also shows how carefully the product is packed and shipped. It's a much larger and heavier pump than I expected for the price. It also comes with a very helpful quick installation guide, as well as a very comprehensive installation and care manual.

Although I usually love Everbilt products, this one has a general star rating of about 3.7. I read many of this pumps reviews, but haven't had it installed for a long enough time to be able to make a final conclusion myself. Other reviewers mention bad star ratings, stating that the pump kept failing prematurely & they went through more than one. But, it has a 1 year warranty, so that's good!

This Everbilt half horse power shallow well pump, like all Everbilt is a dream. Well designed and built, with all the various needed Inputs and out puts, a good pressure gauge and a good motor. Mine was only set to 230 volts, but that is fine for the new tank i need to instal for this. Great pumping power, for a shallow clean water well, absolutely brilliant, simple, and designed for.

If you have an old pump that needs replacing or are in need of a well pump this one should do the job for you. You will need various other parts and maybe components like a pressure tank depending on your installation type, new install or replacement. All the fittings and PVC pipe are 1 1/4. A great feature of this pump is it will run on either 115 volts/20 amps or 230 volts/10 amps, it comes set for 230 volts. To change the voltage all that has to be done is to move the switch setting located under the pressure switch cover which is where all the wiring is made. The housing for this pump is not metal it is made of rust-free fiberglass-reinforced thermoplastic.It will stand up much better and longer than a metal housing. The pump is heavy and does feel like metal, and you can feel the quality as well as see it. There are 2 mounting feet on the bottom to secure the pump in place.There are many different application/installation setups for this pump and the manual as well as various videos on HomeDepot.Com are very helpful for installing and maintaining this pump. In the box is the pump and the manual and other literature. Be sure to read them all. It can pump a well up to 25 feet deep and at a rate of 6 to 9 gallons per minute depending on how high it is pumping. That should be adequate for most applications. This pump will last a long time and is warrantied for 1 year. I cannot stress enough to use the resources provided on the product page at HomeDepot.Com as well as the included literature for a perfect running installation. Have all you need for your particular installation ready, those are also available at The Home Depot.

I selected the Everbilt 1/2 HP shallow well jet pump as a replacement pump for my small remote mountain cabin. While I have a rain water collection system for outdoor / back up water use, water is supplied from a seasonal spring into an underground tank. Power is supplied mainly via solar power, battery, Inverter and occasional use of a generator when needed. With Wild fires all around this year, gravity feed rain water was not enough to keep property safe. I installed 2 sprinklers that spray around the perimeter of the cabin to keep surrounding ground vegetation green. My old pump is on it's last leg and I will swap it out for this new pump on our next visit. Looking at this pump, it looks to be a perfect fit.
