The Everbilt 3/4” Vacuum breaker works great. I have an expandable hose that causes my water pipe in the wall to bang while using the hose, I installed this breaker and the banging has stopped. I have been using it for a few weeks now and still no banging ! It is made of brass, so it should last a long time. So glad I purchased it, worth every penny !

Stay away! See all those holes around the bottom ? Turn the faucet off while a garden hose is attached with pressure, when this trips water sprays out of all holes up to 4 feet. Soaking your shoes & pants. What a poor design.

Easy to replace , work great in old 1 was leaking when garden faucet water on , now no more leak.

Bought 3 from home depot install for my garden hose made the whole house alot of noise when ran the water through the vacuum breaker. Return all of them right away.

A must for an outdoor hose bib. Easy to install and reliable. My last one lasted 5 years under constant pressure. Only two left in the store, now none...

These are defective! Had six of these put on my new house build for the exterior hose bib outlets, purchased at different times and more than one Home Depot. If you want them to spray water out of the holes occasionally and completely drain the hoses out afterward, then go ahead and buy them. They are a nuisance having to clean up all the water on the patio's. The reality is that there is a problem with the manufacturing with these that they cannot stand the 78 psi of pressure that I have on my water system, well within the standards for a residential house. They spritz water out of the holes when under pressure on a hose and then after turning valve off, they will then drain the hose of all the water, even though the hose is at a lower elevation. I am going to have to change them all out, which is not easy as the contractor tightened them all down to break off the nut, which is a local code requirement. I have to drill out the broken off screw to get them off. Best to find another manufacturer!

A good product with superb construction, it weathers exceptionally, and in my opinion is worth the price.  I use these on exterior spigots to reduce the pressure and ensure a perfect, leak-free seal.  I have used them for years and they have held up perfectly.  The ability to manually drain them without removing them at the end of the year means I can keep the seal perpetually and leave them attached over the winter.  The best thing about these is that I have had issues achieving a proper seal between my hoses and the spigot despite using Teflon tape and replacing the washers in the hose.  Attaching this product has remedied that, allowing me to create perfect seals between my spigot and a hose run to a drip irrigation system.  The seal enabled me to keep the water on for automatic watering, which I would not have done with a leaky spigot.

Good product at an affordable price. Use of web site to purchase was easy too.

We have a hose hooked up to an outside faucet with a spray attachment. If the water is on but the spray attachment is closed, we hear a irritating hum from the pipes. Turns out the old back flow valve had worn out. Replaced it with this one and the hum stopped so I’m happy with it. The small set screw broke off half way into the valve with practically no pressure and there is no way to remove the broken piece but it doesn’t seem to affect anything.

When water is turned on and blocked by shut off adapter connected to bib water sprays on you for a second or two. Not happy with this.

Does the job to reduce water pressure at the spigot so that our water hoses will not be damaged.

I like the quality of washer that comes with it. When installed, it is absolutely leak free. What a blessing!!!

Worked perfectly! Easy to install

Set screw broke off with next to no force. Illnhave to remove the entire spigot to replace this piece. Luckily i got it in the first time with a leak free install

Set screw is not stainless so it rusts. Makes it hard to get off when need to replace.

Wouldn’t even screw on to the faucet more than 1/2 turn despite numerous attempts

My existing valve had a crack and was leaking, it used to spew water back at the house when the hose was turned off, this one stopped that! i'm so happy i had to replace the old one, which i did it years ago.
