Used for natural gas adapter, works as it should.

It should have been in the box with the water heater I bought from home Depot I bought 3 till i figured out flare on 1 end only

OMG. From the shiny brass to the symmetrical threads, what is not to love about this fitting. Smooth flare on one side and a perfect 1/2 MIP on the other. You won't regret it.

Hard to make an insightful review of a simple part that should just be the right size and work. Well there you go -- this brass fitting is precisely engineered, exactly the right size on both ends and installed uneventfully. Kind of odd the required yellow Teflon tape isn't displayed near these fittings but over with the water Teflon tape in the middle of all the water fittings, but that's not the fault of this Fitting.
