No indicator light when turned on. Service Dept won't honor guarantee without written receipt of purchase despite internet order of unit. It is a nightmare dealing with the service department.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We I purchased the Frigidaire 18000 btu connected air conditioner for my apartment in 2021. The apartment is over 1000 square feet. The unit does a great job cooling it down. I love how it can be controlled from the app and operated even when you are not at home. No more coming home to a hot house! I liked it so much that I purchased a second unit for mom’s apartment this year. Congrats Frigidaire on a great product which I highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit seems to be a good unit and it cools fairly well. It was replacing a 24000 but GE window unit that finally died after more than 20 years. That thing could really blow out a lot of cold air. The new units only have a one year warranty. It seems it is that way for most brands on these window units. I got the wifi connected model which is only $20 or $30 more than the non connected model. I would definitely buy the connected model. This allows you to set programs and schedules for the cooler from your smart phone. This cooler is definitely quieter then my old unit. The led display that shows the temperature is small and is only visible for a short time after you make a change to the a/c unit with the controller. I am sure this is like this because people complained it was too bright when they were trying to sleep. Fridgidaire had one of the lowest prices on their website and they offered free 2nd day shipping. I figured with the fast shipping the unit would have less chance of being damaged in shipping. I was wrong, it was damaged anyway. Fridgidaire was good about offering to send me a free replacement or a 20% discount on the damaged unit it if I wanted to keep it. The Frigidaire brand was one of if not the top brand rated by consumer reports. As expensive as these units are, it is too bad they only have a one year warranty.

I'm hoping it will last longer than my General Electric air conditioner that burned out a bearing and made a loud noise before it was even 5 years old.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in an area that has been over 105 degrees Fahrenheit for the last 4 weeks, our AC went out in the middle of this heat spell. But we were able to purchase the Frigidaire 18,000BTU AC and now we are living more comfortably.

Had a very hard time finding smaller air conditioner for our window that would provide the larger btus (17,000 or above) to cool down our whole downstairs. I was leary of the phone app too , but I was very impressed. It fit in our smaller window, cools all downstairs, is much quieter than our old one and the app on my phone is so convenient to check the house temperature and turn on and off the air conditioner, even when I am not home !!

It's relatively quiet and I love the eco mode so it turns off when it hits the desired room temperature and on again when the temperature in the room goes up. What is a bit disappointing though is that the digital display disappears once you turn it on and set it. Because I keep it on eco, I'm then never sure if the air is on or not when it automatically turns off. So If I'm not sure if I turned it on previously, I have to go hit the buttons on the display. It's a minor thing compared to the overall function of the air conditioner.

We own a bunch of these AC.'s all with standard 220 V plugs. This unit came with a 2 round prong plug which is not a standard outlet in the USA, and usually only seen in Asia. We had to take time to replace the outlets. Otherwise the unit is working as expected.

We got our home in 1985. All electrical. We always had a 18,000 BTU window AC. We got this one month ago. Appalled!! Ridiculous that this thing does NOT remove humidity from the air unless it is set on 66!!! Specially if outside humidity is 75% or above!! So it will hold at 74 but the humidity in the house is 63-64%! So damp the salt melts on top.of the shakers! So mornonic! This is the NEW generation of AC's! Stupid if one needs to buy a dehumidifier that throws out hot air!! Disgusted but all are made this way now!! Numbers are VERY small unable to read unless 2-3 feet away. Makes remote about useless!

Hoping this unit works a little better in the long run. Love the wifi aspect because it allows me to change the temp from work to keep my dog comfortable throughout the day.
