The tape strip at the top is a great help on keeping the plastic still and the cutter to cut it helps to make a straight line better than trying to cut it with scissors. I don’t use the tape it comes with instead, I use the blue painter tape because it sticks to the wall and stays all winter with no issues versus that clear tape. I apply two layers overlapping each corner of the window for a strong hold.

The product comes in a roll-out installer w/ a cut-off edge. I found it easier to use a box-cutter blade, since the windows are recessed. The instructions are easy to follow, but omit the importance of having a clean window (obvious) and that the window frame/pane edge has completely dried (avoid condensation). Hint - the double side tape should be "started" at the top to assist with the pull-off. Second hint - a better hair dryer will make your project finish sooner (the one I used was a bit of a potato) Third hint - wife feels the windows are a bit cloudy - I think it looks about the same as a window that hasn't been cleaned recently.

We are big fans of Frost King's products and have been using them to seal some of the older, single-paned windows in our house for years now. It does a remarkably good job of keeping out drafts, and cutting down on excess condensation inside the windows too, but it can definitely be a little tricky to apply the 'old' way. This new roller system is perfect! The plastic goes up in a cinch and is very easy to trim once it's on the window.

I love how easy to install this was. I didn't even need to bother my husband for a thing. I just needed a pair of scissors and my hair dryer. Take double sided tape out of bottom of canister, apply to bottom and sided of window, leave top layer of tape attached still. Bring film out of the little window on side of container and apply it the width of your window at the top. Fold it over the container a smidge and take the cutter at top of container and cut the film. Remove top layer of the double sided tape, unfold and keep taunt the film and press it to the tape. Take hair dryer and use it to smooth out the film. This provides a good wind and cold barrier. I am happy with this product.

Most of the wrinkles came out with the hair dryer, making the film almost invisible. The film is clear, providing a clear view of the outside and the light can still shine though. I would definitely recommend this window insulation kit to anyone that has drafty windows, even if they have a new build. I will be buying more for the other rooms in the house, especially for the west facing windows, where we get most of our wind from.

I have a bad air draft in both my restroom. And now it got cold in Texas .. O snapsss. It's cold when I shower. Sooo I got this EZ Roll Heat Shrink Window Film. Look at the YouTube video on how to install it. (Yes it's that easy to install ) So I did it and it works very good and very easy to install. On a side note. If you have rented property or help people out in need, I would recommend you get one of these kits, And keep it just in case of a broken window.. take a look at the pictures I taken. When I first installed the heat shrink Film..it was very wrinkled. But after the hair dryer. Is shrink to fit perfectly.

I ordered this window draft-stopper kit without any great expectations, as I have watched my sister put a similar film on her windows a few years ago, and was convinced I'd never get it put on without help. However, not only are the directions easy to read (big enough for my not so great eyesight), but they are actually easy to follow. I had great success with the two windows in my home office, and will put it on more of my windows at a later time. The fit was very good for my windows as they're not huge. I just went step by step with the directions and really, the only difficult part was peeling the backing off of the two-sided tape. It was hard to get hold of. You do have to wait for it to be 32 degrees outside to put it on, so it took me a few days before I could try it. The wind is blowing very hard today, and as I was putting the film on, I could just feel the difference in the amount of air flow! I'm impressed.

Frost King Heavy Duty Window Film, sold by The Home Depot is great! It is perfect for my older drafty windows and will save me a ton on my heating bills. It is super easy to install and the built in cutting tool is very convenient. The material is very clear doesn’t restrict your view and almost invisible. In addition, I like that everything you need is in the tube including two rolls of double sided tape.

We have a few windows we like to cover each year sadly, and normally I dread doing it but this dispenser made it so incredibly easy I don't think we'll buy the other ones anymore. It's so easy to start one side, and slowly pull it across your window or whatever you may be covering and slide the attached cutter down for the exact size you need, no more fumbling with the scissors or worrying about getting the right size.

It has a pre-taped edge and a cylinder roll on applicator with a built-in razor for easy installation. The handle makes application a breeze. Window treatment saves energy. Fits up to 3 standard windows.

We have older windows so I bought this to see if it would help at all with the cold. I like that it comes with everything you need for installation except for scissors. The top edge is pre-taped which is useful and it has a built in trimmer. It's 62" x 126" and should fit three normal windows. After you apply to the window, just use a hair dryer to shrink it up and get rid of any wrinkles.

In my honest opinion, this version of Frost King’s window insulation kit is a game-changer. I have been using their products for years in my effort to keep the cold air out and the warm air in, but this is the first time I used the EZ Roll kit to insulant my basement windows from drafts. The pictures that I posted would never do the product justice because you need a video recording of the simple three steps to apply the extra layer of protection. The first step is to unroll the product from the EZ roller to the width of your window. There is a self-stick at the top of the dispense portion so it's ready to apply. When you get to the width of the window, use the built-in cutter (yes, built-in – similar to applying plastic wrap over leftovers) and simply cut off the excess at the bottom of your window. Remember the width was chosen by you, so the only excess is at the bottom. Next, apply the provided two-sided tape to the side and bottom of the window – strength tight. In the final step, apply some heat to shrink the plastic into place. It's that easy. The pre-taped top edge of the plastic and the built-in blade to cut off excess were just absolutely brilliant.

I got this because I have a drafty window that would let cold air in during the winter time. When temperatures are low I am able to keep the house warmer. It is easy to apply as well. The packaging actually helps to cut the film which is a nice added value. The plastic folds down and has an adhesive backing to help with the installation process. Would recommend

This Frost King EZ Roll dispenser shrink window kit works fantastic! It was so easy to install and took minutes. This is the easiest kind I have found so far. It comes with double-sided tape inside the bottom of the container and all you need is a pair of scissors and a hairdryer. It cuts the plastic right from the container with no mess and no holes from staples like other ones. I will definitely be purchasing more of this.

Very easy instructions and all you need is a tape measure and scissors. I would recommend this kit for those drafty windows during winter months. I really like the EZ Roll dispenser.

The plastic works great, and the double-sided tape is very strong. I used this on 2 basement windows that have painted wood frame and the double-sided tape is holding fantastic. The tape is clear once the backing is removed so you don't see it. The roll is really wide and long at 62 inches by 120 inches, so you can cover multiple windows or a few large ones. Even though the plastic is thin, I had no issues with the plastic tearing. The plastic sheet is pre-taped on the top so as you're pulling the sheet out of the cylinder, you're attaching the sheet along the top. Using the cutter on the container requires lifting the section you just attached to get enough plastic to run the cutter. The cutter is sharp. The pre-taped top is not as strong as the other tape that's provided for the sides and bottom. I had trouble with the pre-taped top edge staying. The plastic is folded so once the top is attached you unfold from underneath and pull down. The folded plastic was stuck to the top pre-tape along the entire length so when I pulled down the top would pull slightly, and I needed to reattach. Ended up running double-sided along the top to get a great seal. Getting the backing off the tape was also a real pain. On the second window I started peeling the backing off the tape before installing the plastic. Once fully taped I used a hairdryer and like magic the plastic shrinks getting tight and very clear. Can barely tell it's installed. I like the product and final result. The container is just extra plastic for the environment. I would buy the shrink sheets and tape again for sure. But not the plastic container. The plastic container does not really add any value.

This one EZ 3 PK Cylinder Roll-On Dispenser Shrink Window Kit contains enough product for up to three 42” x 62” sized windows (for large windows they recommend their patio door kit)..... The best thing about this kit is that everything needed to complete the task comes neatly packed in a handy canister. The kit includes: the Polyolefin wrap, two rolls of double-sided tape, instructions, and a built-in razor for cutting to the correct width....Everything went pretty easily and quickly and I liked how straight-forward the instructions were, which also included the necessary preparation and cautions (cleaning, temperature, etc.).....The one thing I didn't like, however, was how difficult and how long it took to separate the double-sided tape from the paper backing. If you have short nails like me, it's a challenge to peel-off the paper backing. I found this tape to be more challenging to peel than other window seal tapes..... I have more left for two more windows but I will use different double-sided tape rather than the one provided in the kit.

This Post King shrink window kit is a life saver! My bedroom is the largest one in the house but has a relative small radiator and is also the furtherest from the the steam boiler. The problem is that the radiator cannot keep up with the heat lose through the window and wall. I have tried a few other cheap approaches to keep the room warmer. I tried sealing paste which did not work at all; I tried using a sealing tape, which somehow works but the tape does not stick firmly, resulting in cold air leaking in the room or warm air leaking out. This shrink window kit is a saver. It seals the whole window around the window frame. I no longer feel the draft after applying it to all three windows in my bedroom.

We got this for an old house we have yet to replace the windows in. From previous experience this type of window film really helps keep old windows from being drafty and helps keep the cold out and the heat in. This kit is certainly a neat idea with a cutter right on the case it should make insulating these windows a breeze…pun intended. Anyhow, great idea!

So easy to install. Just followed directions and it worked like a charm. I’m not that handy and was able to install it on my own. Important to clean area well before applying tape. Highly recommend as it’s getting cold out there.
