    should have listened to bad reviews
    Seemed ok at first. Nice and compact and easy to install... Much lighter than the last one we had. As soon as it started running however I noticed there's a rattling sound. Now, I've read other people's reviews who said it was a loud AC and maybe this is what they were talking about but it literally rattles as if there's something in there. We only had it running for about a week. Also, brand new air conditioners you should be able to rely on really cold air but this machine really doesn't cut it. Despite being 10,000 btus it barely makes a dent in a room that's only 15 x 10. Returning.

        I purchased one unit and when I plugged it in the motor was making a horrible noise so I took it back and exchanged it for another unit and that unit was also made the same horrible noise so I took it back for a refund. Neither of the boxes were damaged in any way.

        The worst
        This is the worst AC I'VE EVER HAD. I went to the store and bought two one stopped working 2 weeks after. I got a replacement the replacement is not cooling enough and now I HAVE TO PAY to get another one out of my pocket.

                TERRIBLE
                Ive had nothing but issues with this ac. After only two years the filter reset button stopped working, and E8 sign on. Ive opened the back cleaned out, workd three days back to E8. Old cheap acs work forever snd this gave in within 2 years. Im completely pist off wont fo a GE product again

                  MP708 A year ago. Will not work when the outside temperature is anywhere close to 90 degrees or hotter. throws an e8 code and stops working. waste of money.

                    Unreliable piece of junk
                    I bought this unit last summer against my better judgment. It worked okay, but it worked. Not so this year. It was stored in its box in a cool, dry basement over the winter. I installed it today and it will run for about two seconds and then turn off, while continually beeping. The filter light was on, so I cleaned the filter even though it wasn’t really dirty. It still did not work, and pressing the filter reset button does nothing. The manual is no help. Do not buy.
