At first I thought this would be the thing I needed, because it had e GFI receptacle. But none of the internal pieces have anything to fasten them to the box. So they only rely on friction to hold them in position, a very poor design. The pieces are free to fall out of place and go wherever they happen to move.

The interior block supporting the disconnecting means is not attached to the box but depends upon resistance to stay in place. This has failed almost every time, falling apart and out of the enclosure, including when an inspector opened the box. It is a safety hazard and should be removed from sales.

Garbage
Literally falls apart in your hands right out of the box. Not safe at all.

When installing the disconnect the pull out section falls out and apart. We have to screw it in so it doesn't fall. The disconnects without the receptacle are secured on both sides.

The unit is poorly constructed. The interior shut-off mechanism was cheaply made and continually fell apart during installation. The knock-outs did not punch out cleanly and left sections of metal that had to be cut out with pliers and filed smooth so the connector would fit in the hole.

This is the 3rd time I bought this disconnect and every time the guts falls out of the enclosure when you are trying to remove a knock out. The front cover doesn't stay up, so you need wedge a screwdriver in between the enclosure and cover so you can wire it. No wonder why GE is sinking! JUNK!

Disconnect was easy to mount to the building. However the connection brackets for the wires and clips are not secured until the whole unit is assembled and locked with the disconnect device. This make installation of the wiring difficult at best because the connection brackets fall out as you move to the next wire connection. Should be a better way to hold everything in place while attaching your wires.

I do not recommend this product it is very cheaply made in fact it is a dangerous piece of junk
The 60 amp pull out disconnect just sits in there so when you pull the disconnect out you run the very risk of dislodging it from its precarious perch and could easily short out

This is a great product at a great price. However, I recommend opening the box right there in the store to make sure it wasn't purchased before then returned with parts missing - as was the case with my purchase . It turned an economical product and money making job into a costly second trip back to store only to discover that was the last one they had. Back to separate disconnect and required GFCI outlet for the air condenser.

Box is nicely built, it’s a little tight, needs a little more real estate for the wires to both the switch and the outlet cold be a few inches taller to have a more space for wires.

This is NOT a well engineered box. That makes it a hassle to wire up. Also, the sideways plug prevents the cover from closing if you have a long plug, like if you are using this box for the HomeDepot 110V hot tube. The block stays in place if the inside cover is on, but you have to take the inside cover off to wire it up. To add to that the wiring nuts fall off when you loosen them. It was not engineered with the installer in mind.

It was a little challenging keeping the block and contacts in the box while I got it wired. But once the bottom cover is reinstalled, it is all secured in place. Looks good and does the job for a reasonable cost. I recommend it.

Required in our area for mechanical permitted hvac condenser installations. Have mounted dozens of them with no problems and Home Depot's usually pretty convenient to whatever part of town you're in if the old one needs replacing. Priced reasonable. Will buy them again.

It's going to do the job, but the tabs on the receptacle cover don't line up and fit in and behind the plastic bezel like they should to help it close properly. The knockouts are pretty much impossible to actually knock out without practically bending the box all up. Again, it's going to work for what I need, because I really like the added receptacle for convenience, just think I got a defect.

Purchased the GE model believing it would be good quality. Not so. Pull-out contact interface is so poorly designed and formed that it has little contact ‘wipe’ and nearly zero retention. A poor connection is death for your compressor so you would have to tape it in place. Going back to HD.
