I put an addition on my house for a bigger kitchen. I added this hood to better vent. I had higher hopes for this range hood. The first night I put the range and hood in, I made chicken for my daughter and I, so just 2 breasts browned in a frying pan and finished in the oven. The hood even on high still didn't stop my alarms from going off in my house. I didn't scorch them, nothing burned, no fire and the steam from boiling water goes around it a lot of the time. I have it installed to direct vent to the outside (it's on an exterior wall.). Installation. I had a heck of a time getting it installed. The anchors that come with it are a joke. I would not use them your hood will fall down and hopefully not while you are cooking. The mounting holes aren't standard stud spacing either. I would also like to mention, it's just pretty loud when using it.

Have been searching to purchased new range hood for about 5 months. This model popped up as a recommendation. Initially was skeptical but did my research and purchased this Golden Vantage model RH0472. it arrived 1 day early and was able to install it the same day. Very straight forward instructions and installation tool about 1 hour. Definitely happy with our purchase and product. Highly recommend this model for ease of installation and functionality.

We installed the range hood last week and works great. Keeps the kitchen much cooler and the odors under control. I like that is simple, not bulky and the fan sound is not a problem

I am a custom stainless steel fabricator who happens to make commercial kitchen equipment such and commercial hoods. So instead of just making this product which I could of I decided to buy this because of the motor and filters included because I wanted to run ductless. Installation was easy. Quality is good for your average homeowners but to me the stainless used is of a lower quality grade, 410,420,440. It came with a small dent.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this product. For now I'm using it as a recirculating fan, I may vent to outside at a later time if we use it but I bought it mostly for decorative purposes. I'm using it with sloped ceiling by not using the top flue piece.

We recently made over our original 1984 kitchen and this hood really gives it the WOW factor! Overall fan noise isn't too loud but is as loud as I expected. I do wish the airflow was a bit stronger but for under $200 I'm happy with it. It would be even better if the light had a high and low option but we're overall very happy with this hood. We'll never go back to a microwave over the stove again.

Very easy to install. Took about 45min in total. Modern style! On highest mode is not loud at all! I love it!

I had a hard time because the my wall location of the hood was different, but it's still pretty!

Fast pickup order, very easy to install and clean, less noisy, blend very well with my other appliance and look very pretty and elegant. My only complaint is the when I cook something that is very smokey the smoke line up in the crease of my top wall which I have to constantly clean my wall. Other than that I'm happy and love it. I look forward in receiving my free gift "Heat Resistant Cooking Gloves"

Was doing a kitchen renovation and I needed to replace my old range. Shipping: I went with a ship to store, and shipping was speedy, very pleased. Value: $119, very good deal. Ranges are pretty expensive. Quality: solid Features: Basic but that is all that is needed. First level is pretty quiet. Three levels of vent strength and the light switch. Energy: No comment, still testing.

Easy installation, sleek look, very affordable. Operates like an expensive vent but does not hurt your wallet. Had it only for a few weeks so far, so time will tell, but so far so good.

The hood is sleek and very nice; I wanted something that didn't have a big LOGO on the front. Also I only had a 30" opening over my range, and this measures 29.5" wide...trust me, you will be glad you have that 0.5" wiggle room. The only thing I don't like is the blue plastic, wow is it on there, riveted on. There is no way to get it all out of the seams, so you have to just let that go...hence the 4 stars vs 5. But it looks great, relatively easy to install and operates relatively quietly.
