The wraps were a not easy to install. The tape on the columns were old and came loose during installation. I had to clean the adhesive off and retape and install. The remaining columns were retaped as well. Obviously old product when I purchased.

These column wraps are about the worst thing ever I've purchased for my remodel. First, I bought the 6"x 8ft and they seemed pretty nice. They were a full 3/4" thick and pretty sturdy but only fit 4x4 (3.5x3.5) posts. My post are 6x6 (5.5x5.5) so I needed to return those and get these. They are flimsy, only about 3/8" thick. They are also oversized by at least 1/2" and need to ship your posts otherwise they are loose and move around. No where in the instructions does it mention needing to shim to make them fit. Putting them around the post with or without shims is a challenge because of the flimsiness. I had a very difficult time getting the open corner to close up. Following the instructions and using a small rubber mallet (light taps) to snap them together only ended up cracking the corner joints. On the first two I installed, the taped corners came apart while trying to close up the open corner. I had to reglue those and use clamps to hold then together until the glue dried. Once installed they looked like crap so I decided not to install the remaining ones. I purchased 10 of these column wraps and decided to eat the loss on the two I had attempted to install and return the other eight. I will just cover my 10 treated post with finish 1x lumber and paint them.

If you are a weekend warrior with little or no skill these arent for you. But if you have some skill and the right kind of glud they are great. If the tape is coming off retape it. And you have to shim it just right on the loose side. But i love em! Easy !

Man, these things are crap!! Bought 3 of them for a covered porch install. Very flimsy and hard to work with. Never again!!!

Bougt three of these and had different issues with each. The tape they have on the corners failed on a couple, after the first I used house wrap tape over their tape and tat helped a lot. On the third one everyhing went well except one set of trim pieces provided weren’t cut straight and the joint on the open corner didnt match up. I had to trhim the taper out and cut a 45 angle on the end to make it allign properly. I gave it two stars because the final outcome was acceptable, just a lot more work and aggravation than it should have been

Very flimsy

I like that this product is available but I wish the panels where thicker and the trim better. This is not structural but when folding the panels you really need two people. Also, don't use a rubber mallet, it doesn't work. I used two clamps that I slid down the column which worked better.

Solid product that will last the test of time for the price. Very easy to install following the manufacturer's included directions. Thanks

These don't fit snugly over a 4x4 or 6x6 post. They are simply a sheath that wraps around the post. It's impossible to get a solid structure underneath that flushes out to the exact inner dims of the column so you have to use shims to attach it, so if you push on certain areas, the column flexes. Would not recommend to anyone.

Do not buy this junk! The seams started coming apart before we could get it up, the tape wasn’t holding. Now that it’s up it is not staying together. Horrible stuff I would give it zero stars if I could

Easy to use for wrapping posts up to 6x6 after connector inspections.

Easier to work with than what I originally thought. Taped seams can tear if your not careful. Product looked really nice once installed.

I should have listen to the other review; I can not express how displeased and frustrated I am of the cheap quality of this product. I purchased the adhesive they recommended (expensive) and followed the instructions exactly. Out of the wrapper the tape that they use to hold the corner of the panels together was coming off (old dried out maybe) and was not put on correctly (3/4 on one side and 1/4 on the other). Some of the tape was actually ripped and not holding the panel together at all. I cut the panels to length and then I very gently folded them out (no instruction on how to do this). I followed the instructions exactly; putting on the adhesive and then gently I put them together around my support. Upon close inspection I noticed the edges where the tape was peeling off were not holding and added my own safe release painters tape in an attempt to hold the corners together. The tape is red and you can not see through it. Upon real close inspection I noticed that their red tape was not holding the corners together; I used one roll wrapping the tape around the column. This was a very frustrating task that eventually did not work and the surrounds look like crap. I even tried using a nail on the edges near the top to no avail as it is too thin to get a nail to hold and did split one edge (on the top which will be covered by the cheap molding they give you). I should have listened to advise from a friend and make my own for a lot less money. These wraps cost probably twice as much as if I did it myself and I would not have had to paint them. They also do not give you instructions on how to re-enforce the area where you would put a railing. I am going to purchase a box of stainless steel nails and try to nail them on to the post in an attempt to hold them together. I will do this with one and if it does not work they are all going back. Thankfully I used my credit card which gives me protection on this faulty product as it is not as advertised and does not work as intended and have a defective design. I would not recommend this product at all; stay away.

I am not sure why folks give this junk good reviews. The installation is a joke and the glue does not hold if you put it where they tell you. The tape on one of the pieces was half of the way off and would not go back on. After several failed attempts at installing it, I let out my frustration but cutting it up into 20 pieces and trashing it.
