Easy to install. A bit pricey for all the fittings, but then again, you don't need a plumber or special tools to install it.

The pipe was easy to work with. However, make sure your gas supplier has the necessary fitting to finish connections.

70 year old 1" steel main gas line between our home and the meter by the street recently began to leak. The run is about 30'. Got some estimates from local plumbers between $1800 and $5000. We have some plants and flagstones to navigate so no ditch witch rental would suffice, so I asked our gardener his fee to do the trench and put back $600. Parts Riser Bent $70, Straight transition $40, 1" Pipe $66 and 2 x straight connectors $35, $11 50' if 14 gauge stranded wire for tracing pipe dope... Tools PVC Cutter or pex cutter, permanent marker a couple of pipe wrenches Total ~$260+tax for parts and perhaps 3 hours to connect both ends...The pipe was hard to wrestle single handed so my spouse and I wrestled to stretch out and get the pipe into the trench...Did a pex hot water re-pipe a few years ago and this 1" IPS gas pipe is much more rigid (= harder to work with) compared to pex Total cost ~$900 and some sweat equity I noticed the printing on the riser and the straight steel transition is melted into the plastic not just printed, and I was concerned that this might create a leak as noted by others... Thankfully No leaks Poly gas pipe is supposed to last 50-100 years the connectors are warranted for 1 year. I got some sand to cushion the pipe as a partial protection from rocks in the soil shortening life Did a pex hot water re-pipe a few years ago and this pipe is much more rigid and still than pex Note about the store The inventory at the Camarillo Store was not right they were out of things that were listed in stock online, so I needed to visit another store to get everything I needed to getterdun.

Very easy to work with. Fittings are too expensive , but overall a good product.

They get you selling the pipe, it’s very cost effective, so you think you have a great, easy to work with solution, until you buy the fittings. 2 transition fittings cost more than 100’ of the pipe. Add in the unions, and now you’ve spent as much as you would have to run black steel.

I bought the complete kit including 100' loins, 2 splice connectors, and 2 IPS to male pipe adapters. Had gas line installed in an hour. Easy to work with. Excellent option to steel pipe. Nice kit!!

The system was easy to install. The fittings are big. Good thing, it passed City inspection.
