Stained well, but had to get a second set because the switch plate stained darker. If buying different covers, be sure to pick ones that are close to the same shade of bare wood.

Stain doesn’t take or looked terrible. Cannot buy one in store so now I need to look for a different option.

I needed to replace discolored wall plates. The wood look is great in my kitchen.

I noticed many of these units were broken in the center where you screw in the unit. Luckily I caught it and selected the serviceable units. 3 of 4 were broken.

This wooden Wall Plate was sturdy (has a metal backing), of good quality and it came with the necessary installation hardware. While unfinished, all it took was a light sanding and I was able to stain it to my desired color. Installation was quick and easy and it fit my 30+ year-old electrical outlet box perfectly. Great product and excellent value for money, especially as I have been searching for one for some time!

The grain was horizontal not as pictured and does not look as good going against the grain of the cabinet.

Looks great and it gives me the option to finish it however I want.

It comes unfinished so I can put any finish that I want.

Nice outlet cover. Thick, well made, metal backing except around outside edge. Took stain well - I didn't even have to sand. No anomalies due to being solid wood. It covers an outlet that sits in shadow for the most part, so exacting standards of appearance/matching wood wall not needed. I only wish there was a flatter, less ornate version on the market, but this doesn't stand out too much.
