I am extremely pleased with this fan. It is quiet, moves a lot of air, and seems to be well built (though time will tell). As a plus, it’s quite attractive and looks much more expensive than it was! I did not use the downshaft, though, and I suspect that might be contributing to the stability I’m experiencing with this unit. As far as installation goes: the instructions are a little bit confusing, but they are comprehensive enough and can be followed if you concentrate and reread as you go. In general, I found the fan to be pretty easy to assemble. Just make sure the mounting bracket is level! One tip that the instructions leave out, though: if your room has light switche(s), you can wire the fan up to those as well. The light switch should be connected to a red wire. Your black wire is always live regardless of the state of the light switch. The fan’s blue wire is for the light kit, black for the fan itself. Want to use your light switch for the light, but not the fan? Blue -> red, black -> black. Want to use your light switch for the fan only? Blue -> black, black -> red. Want to use the switch to turn the fan and light off/on? Black/blue -> red, cap off your black wire Dont want to use the switch at all? Black/blue -> black, cap off your red wire.

Very high quality fan for the cost. This fan pushes a ton of air compared to other fans it’s price. It looks really good as a bonus. We put it together and hung it in about an hour. Feels sturdy and well built. The only downside is that this fan smells really bad. We opened the box and noticed it instantly. The fan has been running on high for two days in hopes it’ll slowly smell less, but no avail. It smells like wet cardboard. Fingers crossed it goes away!

I hesitated on purchasing this based on the reviews mentioning the difficulty in installing. If you can follow detailed instructions and have an intermediate level of mechanical ability or more, you will be fine. We installed it flush mount and couldn't be happier. The neo-Edision LED lights look great. Fan speed at high is a bit fast for our taste but low is great to gently move the air across the 1st floor open concept. Wish I did this sooner!

I looked for a fan that would work in our new construction bedroom for months until I found this one. It has the farmhouse look I want with black finish. More importantly, the blades give two color options. I simply could not find blades that had a weathered wood look (like barn wood) but these fit the bill perfectly. It came very well boxed and went up well. It is a substantial fan (not flimsy) despite the affordable price tag. Very pleased with our purchase. We ended up getting all the ceiling fans for our new addition from Home Depot!

This fan is just perfect !!! Very quiet !!! It looks more amazing in real life !!! Very pretty fan !!! Works well but it's only been up a couple of weeks. Moves good air and like I said quiet !!! The Edison bulbs look great. We looked at alot of fans and this one goes perfectly !!!

The fan is really elegant looking and great for the price. Make sure you use a comfortable ladder because you will be spending sometime on it. Also, make sure not to drop the canopy cover screw into the motor unit. It will slide through the gaps. Tape paper over gaps of the motor unit. Took me 45mins to get it out because I didnt want feel like disconnecting all the wiring and the motor unit...instead I removed the disc from the bottom of the motor unit lol....Installing the motor onto the ceiling is easy, installing the blades was time consuming, installing the light was the hardest. If you have help around the house, definitely take it otherwise you shoulders and arms will be tired trying to shove the wires and put the screws..

Install was standard no issues with anything. After about two months fan began to make an annoying knocking sound. I decided to take the fan apart and remove and tighten all the parts . This seemed to fix the issue for a few days. The fan is knocking again. Great looking fan, but it’s poorly made.

I bought this fan based on reviews. For the price point, I’m pretty pleased with it. Other sites and places we looked at were charging almost double, so this was definitely a steal. The assembly/installation was a pain. It took us about 3 hours, but my husband and I also have very minimal electrical install background. The directions were okay, I’ve seen better, but you really have to pay attention and read well when installing, failure to do so will make you miss a step and put you back. I definitely wouldn’t say it was an easy install, but the outcome was beautiful. Now that I know all that is involved in install, I would buy again.

We purchased two of these for our living room when they were on sale half price! My husband installed them with no problems. We’ve really enjoyed them thus far and highly recommend!

The most insane and frustrating fan to put together. You basically have to take it apart and put back together. My husband is a technician and has put many many fan together and this one is by far the hardest he’s done. Screws are pre screwed in and one was on soo tight it stripped. He had to drill a whole in it just to get it off. Instructions sucks! You have a better chance putting together a rocket ship. This a two person job and many hours put in and many choice words to go along with it. Would not recommend unless you like the overall look. We like the look of it in our room but knowing what we know now we would go with another fan.

Installation was not as hard as others are describing, but it was definitely the hardest install of a ceiling fan I have come across. The main reason for the 2 star rating is the rattle. No matter how much tinkering I have done with it, there is always an intermittent rattle. It's also nowhere near as stable as my other ceiling fans. Pull on the cord and it moves the entire unit. None of my other fans do this. Once this quarantine is over I will probably return this fan.

This had to be the easiest fan installation I've ever done. Assembling the blades was super easy and the rest of the install was straight forward with the instructions provided. The fan looks great and is quiet on all speeds. Its a nice addition to the room.

Fan wasn't working. We were ready to return but we unclipped the white plastic wiring box and noticed the yellow wire wasn't pushed up into the housing. Pushed it into place and reassembled, works perfectly! Beautiful in our kitchen, we love it!

I love the farmhouse feel of this ceiling fan! Best part was the pricepoint. We purchased two! One for the living room and one for the family room. Fan works very well and gives a lot of light unlike many fans.

Easy to install, looks great, super quiet.

My husband is an engineer, and these Edison light-looking fans caught our eye. We bought two of them to replace the white/brass fans we've had in our family room for 15 years. They work great. The light output isn't as high as the other fans, but the light is warmer and richer looking. Got lots of positive comments from family members during Christmas celebrations. Love them!

Beautiful fan and only took us almost two hours to put together. I would change the description on the box to state that its not a quick install but rather “Be ready to have plenty of patience”. Don't forget to remove shims and protected covers - That took us an additional 20mins. They did not mention it on instructions. Nevertheless, it's beautiful when said and done.

Love this fan! Works great and looks very modern. Was also the easiest fan I’ve had to set up.

It looks good and functions well, but it was a bit annoying to install. The wires that are in the light kit are bunched up so when installing the nut ,it' difficult to thread. Had to get needle nose pliers and take a while to thread that way. Also they should include extra screws, one of the screws wasn't threading well, so luckily had an extra from a hunter fan I just installed in another room the day before.

Well packaged and easy to install. Came with wrong instructions but were easy enough to locate on home depot.com

Love the look of the fan goes great with my farmhouse decor...I've had it about a month now....it Doesn't quite move the air as well as the hunter brand fan I had previously...it was fairly cheap but built very well it's a nice fan for the price and is easy to install...really liked how the fan blades went on usually you have to screw them but not for this fan they clip on and while it's running even on high its quiet

Bought two, one has a bit of motor noise the other is completely silent. Of course the packaging has already been disposed of so not able to return it. Very disappointed as they look incredible with the new rustic cabin look I am going for.

This product comes with exceptional instructions, which make it easy to assemble. That being said I think it should include in the wiring section a step for operating fan and light with separate switches. The looks of this fan are rustic and farmhouse style which exactly what my wife wanted.
