This hamper meets my needs but stinks! Aired out in garage for month+ and that did little to dissipate the toxic smell. Used as laundry hamper. Every time I open it I get slapped in the face by a harsh paint/chemical smell. Even after washing my laundry my clothes smell like this hamper. Gross.

The product serves the functions. However it smells very badly. I put it in my bathroom upstairs and I can smell it downstairs. I have to return it if the smell doesn’t go away.

The instructions, illustrations and the prepackaged parts made the assembly a breeze. The hamper holds a week’s worth of clothing for two people.

Easy to assemble and looks great. My only complaint is it was missing 1 piece, which I didn’t realize until I was done. All Customer Service could offer was to replace the whole unit since it wasn’t an in-stock item. We were able to work a fix. Other than that, it has an odor that will fade.

The off gas makes us sick, if it doesn't improve we will have to take it back.

The cabinet continues to have a strong synthetic plastic smell and it’s not going away after a month or two.

This thing is very difficult to assemble. The instructions were in broken english and parts that didnt need to be two separate pieces were for some reason. Its definitely not durable and is easily damaged (one of the screws pushed its way through the finish!), and god it SMELLS so bad like chemicals! Ive had the thing sitting in another room to “air out” for almost two weeks and you can still smell it just from walking by! Save your money and avoid this

Fairly easy to assemble, and it looks great in my laundry room!The only problem is that the tilt-out doors rub slightly on the frame when they open and close.

Could be a little bit bigger

The wood had a funny, strong smell. I am returning it and have ordered another hamper in hopes that was an abnormality.

Overall this was ok....It didn't work out for my purpose. I bought it to use as a garbage and recycling can. I should have known how small it was going to be but I wasn't even able to fit a small garbage bin inside. Along with the other reviews noted, the door slams back when let go.

This is a complicated piece to put together and very time consuming. It is beautiful and quite sturdy but a bear to assemble. Preassembly would be nice on an item such as this. It took me and hour and half of uninterrupted time to put the thing together.

I am so happy I purchased this for our bathroom. I don’t like to look at dirty clothes or even traditional hampers so finding this was perfect. It looks great in our master bathroom. Luckily we didn’t have any of the issues others wrote about. It did take my husband 30+ minutes to put together.

Item was very easy to put together, it holds about a hamper and a half per drawer which is fine. I did replace the handles to something that was more suited to my taste and not the shiny silver.

Looks nice but so small. SO SMALL! One sweatshirt fills half of it. Product description needs to clearly state that this thing is only 2 feet tall and the bin itself is only 1.5 feet tall! So small.......too bad because it’s a nice piece of furniture but impractical and almost useless as a hamper.

The hamper was shorter than I expected. Putting it together was a hassle and the wood was cheaply made. For a $200 item, I would have thought the product would have been made better.

This piece looks beautiful in our kitchen. It's used for recycling and very functional. Easy to put together with two people.

We have only had it a few weeks, and the wood is already completely chipped, and it looks terrible.Terrible quality, product. Would not recommend.

I have two of these from when it was Home Decorators. I've had them for about ten years and no problems with them. I decided to buy another one because I needed space for towels. I get the package delivered and prepare to open the box in my garage. Styrofoam starts falling everywhere in the garage. It gets tracked through my dining room, up the stairs, and into my laundry room where I assembled it. I had to vacuum the garage floor, dining room, stairs, and every piece as I assembled it. One of the round legs wouldn't screw to the base because the hole wasn't drilled deep enough. I had to stop what I was doing, get a counter sinking drill bit, and drill to the correct depth. I'm trying to pull the stickers off each part and the adhesive is a beast to get completely off. There is a small chip on the bottom of the base, but I let that go because it's not very noticeable. I was short one of the counter sink screws that locks the top down. There is no number to call on the instructions in case you are missing a part. I plan to return to the Home Depot, this evening, because I think you can buy those parts off the shelf. Finally, I have one drawer that won't sit evenly and the side scrapes as you open and close it. I'm sure within a month of scraping, I won't have any paint on that side of the drawer. To say the least, I'm not very happy with this Hamper and the overall experience putting it together. If it hadn't taken 1.5 hours to install and come in 40 pieces I would have returned it for another.

It came with a broken wooden piece that went to the back. Very disappointed that I get here and it’s says it could cause issues because it’s full of formaldehyde which it’s never warns you about befor hand. I would of never bought it if I had know of these issues. Can’t return it was special ordered

I’m using the hamper for garbage, but it was hard to find liners to fit. Overall looks great, but if they would have made it a little taller to be counter height it would have been perfect!

The compartments are a safety hazard since they slam shut. This unit would be great otherwise.
