As with previous reviews I really had to wrestle with the remote receiver box being tucked in above/into the fan mounting apparatus. Ultimately I needed a deep (2 1/8”) octagon box to get everything flush or even below the level of the ceiling before this would slide into place. A really large, and I suspect older design. I suspect the remote box was “off the shelf” and was cheap to incorporate into this fan design. Fan motor has slight hum.Then I read the LED light assembly doesn’t last. Ugh!!

I am in to black aesthetics & this fan is that. I’m a mix of farmhouse/modern & this fan is that. I love the added remote & I also love how we can change the lighting-amber, white, etc. It’s beautiful & I am obsessed!

Nice and quiet and very easy to install. My dimmer option doesnt work but I have yet to read instructions. I like remote and design look gits perfect for my home. I chose the matte black color since my open floor plan is pretty much gray and black. I probably will order 2 more if i can get blocks placed in each guest room.

The fan receiver is a separate, bulky piece that has to somehow be mounted in with all the wiring and the mounting bracket.

I have 6 of these fans, all with different remote codes and every single fan turns on by itself. I've tried everything and it's unlikely that the neighbors fan is on the same codes as all 6 of mine. I wish I could return but I no longer have the boxes.

I personally trust Home Decorators fzns as i have a few in my house, so when it was time to upgrade my sons room from a light fixture to a fan with light, i found this suitable sized fan with light for the room. It comes with integrated LED soft white colored strip lights a simple remote which you can attach near the wall switch. I ordered it online and received it promptly all in one piece. I had my share of experience in installing fixtures and fans and very comfortable working with electricity at home. The ceiling setup took most of the work, as i had to replace an old non fan compliant box to a new metal box, but once that has benn done, the fan installation was fast and easy. The included instruction manual was clear, you just follow the steps and its done. The fan its self is of great quality with steel brackets for support, it comes with a short ca. 7in rod, so if you needed to be longer or on a sloped ceiling, a sepreate rod needs to be purchased. The LED light is bright enough for a 10x10ft room, the light cover is of strong plastic, not glass and this fan has a 2 directional switch. All in all i am happy with this fan and purchase and will highly recommend.

Overall I would give the fan more of a 3.5 stars other than three but there’s no ability to do that here. It looks great, I’m just not sure about the fan blades. There is really no angle to the fan blades. there’s kind of a cool looking angle on the ends of the blades which doesn’t supply much in terms of airflow compared to other fans. When I have it on high I really feel no air at all unless I am standing directly underneath it. I see these fan blades sagging in the near future. No proof of that but that is my guess. In my opinion they are The flimsiest fan blades out of the five fans in my house. If you like to feel airflow in my opinion this is not for you. The light is brighter than I thought it would be which is good. This is more of an entryway light but I would not use it As my main light and something like a bedroom. Others may like it that way though? No problem on the install. directions were very good. being that it’s a lower priced fan I’m happy with my purchase overall.

Great Fan, I recommend a couple things to help installation go smoother.. put the blades on first. Avoid mounting on a shallow electrical box. Hang the ball in the mount then wire the remote control module by sliding it into to place. Tuck the ground wire up out of the way above the remote control module to give you more room. The 2 set screws that hold the cover are difficult to find the hole in the bracket. don't tighten the screws until they are both in the bracket. hope that helps.

Bought for bedroom that was updated. Like the look of the fan and it puts off great air flow, but it makes an annoying humming sound. Can hear it even when door is closed. My son likes it as he thinks its like a white noise so doesn't bother him. Just gotta get used to it. Also agree that its a pain to hook up. Husband gave up trying to fit remote transmitter part into the small area and had to get a handy man to do it. Extra money

We bought two of Merwry fans in store. I really wanted this fan to be the one. We like the flat black modern style. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice the scale of the remote on the box until we opened it and the remote was as large as the fan blade and looks like it’s from the 90’s (compared to other brands that have slimmer remotes). Plus, the remote has a push down silicone circle face that could wear down easily. We never installed this fan, so I can’t speak for the motor/sound quality.

Looks great but didn't even last a week. It was placed over my bed and the class light broke off. Now I have to figure out how to replace it

The receiver for the remote is really hard to wedge into the ceiling if you have a shallow box (where the wires come out of your ceiling). We put the fan in first and had to wedge the receiver above the bracket. 15 min install time quickly turned into a 50 min struggle. Design is stupid, but two stars because fan puts out decent airflow for a 12x10ft room. Also, if you have a dimmer switch, you need to switch it out for a standard switch as it will interfere with how the fan operates.

This is a very effective fan with multiple speeds and dimming light. I got one put in my eldest daughters room, and she loved it so much I got a second one for my youngest daughters room. The dimming feature is nice for bedtime. The light has to be held down and it will go from brightest to darkest. Release the button when you find the right brightness. My 11 year old can operate the remote easily, and she really enjoys the better airflow in her small room.

Quiet and easy to install even for a beginner such as myself using the video download app that comes on the front page of the Instruction manual.

Love the look and how this operates. The domable light feature is a big bonus. I knocked it down a star because the instructions could’ve been a little clearer. However that said I was able to install this without my husband.

This fan was okay but after about 6 months of lite use it made a very loud clicking noise, it is good for a livening room though.

Great fan for the price. We were looking for something sleek and modern and that's exactly what we got! We have two of these installed in our living room and used one remote to program them both. The fan offers a decent amount of light and I love that you can dim them. I couldn't have chosen a better fan!

Looks great! Modern look. 3 speeds. The low speed is a very comfortable setting while the high speed really throws some air. The remote comes with a holder you can screw to the wall next to your bed or wherever. The instructions were easy to follow. I’m gonna buy another one for the office room.

After installing the fan we let it run through the night, in the middle of the night the light would flip on. I had to remove the receiver in the electrical box in the ceiling and change the code on it then change the code on the remote to match. Once I did that we didn’t have this issue anymore. Hoping this resolves the issue and we don’t have to remove and return it to the store. Quality and color are awesome. Also fairly easy to install.

The only complaint I have about the fan is the remote. They really could have given a better remote. My complaint is the remote is hit or miss. Sometimes I have to hit the power button 3 or 4 times to turn the light on or off. I liked the fan because I have vaulted ceilings so I couldn't reach a pull chain. The look of the fan is nice.

We've had this fan for 6 months. I was nervous about assembly because the lack of electrical work that I have done it the past. What I found to be really helpful from the product team was the mobile app and the walk through steps. That made it relatively seamless for the install. I really like the airflow it gives and the 3 different modes actually make a difference. What I wish it had was different lives of brightness, again for the cost you are getting a good product.
