The kit comes with one blade installed and one spare blade. The blades have a notch on the back side for locking into the tool. Both blades were poorly cut. One notch was too small not allowing the blade to lock in place. The other blade was cut with the notch at an angle allowing the blade to pop out. So both blades were defective, rendering tool worthless. Will be returning tomorrow. Absolute trash. If not a sealed package I’d think they were used.

This is a must have in your tool box. This pair of cutters are made with excellent quality materials to last for long time. The kit comes with extra blades for each cutter that can easily be changed. The pouch provided makes the perfect storage and transportation of the tools easy every where you need it. The price is a steal for this pair. This pair of cutter are special design to cut different types of materials like pvc, cove, pex, pp, pe, rubber hose. The maximum cutting is up to 1 1/4” and for the flex pipe cutter is 3/4”. Both cutters are made to be a one hand operated.
I cut 2 different pipes with different thickness with no problem. I used to cut them with a hacksaw and always have awful results, now I have clean cuts every time.
The reverse of the package explains the correct way to change the blades of each cutter.

Easy ratchetting and handy to have the one extra blade for the PVC cutter. The Tube Cutter doesn't really cut PVC well enough but is perfect for drip irrigation tubing. It's nice that the blade for the Tube Cutter can flip so this kit actually provides four cutting edges for the Tube Cutter including the one extra replacement blade. Having a case will help keep everything together and save time when looking for blades. Well made and Husky offers a full lifetime warranty.

I am not of fan of cutting PVC with a hacksaw because the edges feather and it doesn't always cut straight (or at least when I cut it). This ratchet PVC cutter set makes the job easier. I needed to add a drain pipe to my A/C unit with half inch PVC and this cutter made it a cinch. The set even includes a flex cutter that is not a ratchet style but with a firm grip, cut through half inch PVC as well. I didn't try it on flex but as easy as it cut through PVC, I would say it would be no problem. The package includes an extra blade for each cutter and a case to put it in and zip it up. This cutter will make my projects a lot easier.

This item is two different PVC cutting tools: The smaller one designed cutting flexible PVC pipe and larger one designed additionally for ridged PVC pipe. There is a replaceable cutting blade for each tool and a pouch for kit storage in this package.
My friend has a collection of PVC pipe from 30 years of living on a farm. The large tool was tested with a piece of partially flexible PVC. At 1-3/4inch Outside Diameter, It “just” fit in the jaws of the cutter. The blade is extremely sharp and cut through the PVC like scissors cutting through a single piece of paper. I was amazed. I also liked the way the blade would snap fully open after the cutting when you pulled the handles gently apart.
The next cut was 1” thin wall PVC. Both cutters did extremely well, but the blade started by compressing the pipe. I twisted the pipe about 1/4inch and the blade cut into the surface and continued to cut smoothly and easily for the rest of the cut.
The next cut was a different 1” thin wall that had been split along a seam due to compression. The small tool cut off the split section without propagating the split.
The next was 1” schedule 40. Both cut through fine only with more grip being required on the handles.
The next was 1” schedule 40 that was probably 15 years in the sun so it was very hard. The large tool cut about 3/4of the way through and then the pipe broke off. I tried it again but went slowly and the tool completed the cut without shattering the pipe. The small tool was not performing well on the rigid pipe. It does say to use it on flexible PVC.
We then tried the same cuts with two similar tools that we had available. Their blades were not even close to the sharpness of these two Husky tools and they failed.
The blade on the smaller tool is similar to the straight cutting blade on my old tools. The larger tool has a specially designed shape that helps with the cutting process. It has a wedge shape that causes the tip of the wedge to begin the cut and the two flat sections “slice” through the pipe wall at nearly 90 degrees.
The blades on both tools are replaceable. The Large tool needs to be closed all the way so that a metal release slide is exposed. Slide it and the blade comes out.
The small tool has a more traditional locking pin. Unscrew the pin lock screw; remove the pin; slide the two handles apart; and remove the final two locking screws. The blade comes out. Replace it by reversing the process. When you do this a two prong “Spring” will fall out. Do not panic, it can be put back in place once the handles are re-assembled. There are slots in each handle and the spring prongs fit in the slots on each handles. I also noticed on the small tool that this blade is reversible. You can turn it around and go back to being sharp. The second time you can replace it.
At $15 for the kit, I am planning to buy 4 more copies for my family groups. They are really that good.

I will start off with the ratcheting PVC cutter. It cuts PVC up to 1-1/4 in. (1-5/8 in OD). It will cut PVC, CPVC, PP, PEX, PE, and Rubber Hose. I wanted to try this out on the biggest peice of PVC it would allow. I figured that would be the best test. It does have a mechanism to lock it closed but is easily unlocked with just one hand. The ratcheting action makes this cutter very easy and smooth to make cuts. I feel like this would be great for someone with arthritis. With barely any pressure at all I was able to slice through 1-1/4 inch PVC like a hot knife through butter. The cut was not only easy but very smooth with a nice flat edge. I will post a pic of one of my cuts I made with this. The blade is very sharp but as it dulls over time it does come with a replacement blade which is quick change. Now onto the flexible tube cutter. It cuts PVC, CPVC, PEX Pipe, and Flexible Pipe. It cuts flexible tubing up to 1-5/8 in (outer diameter). It cuts PVC and CPVC up to 3/4 inch. It houses a reversible blade and comes with a replacement blade. Personally I will be using this mainly for flexible tubing. I prefer the ratcheting cutter for PVC and harder material. Recently my garden hose broke so this came just in time. I used the flexible cutter to cut off the broken part of my hose so I could put on my new female end. The cut was easy, flush, and came out perfect. By the time I was fixing the hose night had fallen so I did not get a picture of the cut. I will however add a picture of the hose finished. The flexible cutter also has a locking mechanism. The blade on this cutter is not quick change but doesn't take long and is easy to replace or reverse. The carrying case that comes with this is well built. The most important part of the case in my opinion is the zipper. The zipper feels strong so you wont be worrying about busting it or getting it caught. The case also has a little strap/handle. It is a nice little addition to my tool box.

Very nice pair of PVC cutting tools. The Husky 4-Piece PVC Cutting kit comes with a manual cutter, a ratchet cutter, two packs of replacement blades and a convenient pouch. For my purposes, I will not use the pouch as I store the cutters in a toolbox drawer. However, it will be used for other electrical equipment. The small cutter cuts 1 5/8" tubing and 3/4" PVC (although I cut 1 in PVC...). The larger ratchet cutter cuts up to 1 5/8" PVC. I mistakenly tried both on some 2 inch PVC and it failed. My bad. For diameters in range, the cutters did great. The smaller cutter's blade can be changed by removing the spring, removing the main screw, and removing to small screws. Be sure to mark your old side of the blade so you don't use it twice. The larger cutter has a spring loaded lever that when moved, allows the blade to be removed with no tools. The blades are not the same size (see video). Both cutters sliced through my garden PVC like butter. I like that feeling. The had a clean cut. Both cutters have clips on the bottom to close the blades for storage. That is a nice feature. The material is solid and the construction feels great. I will get a lot of usage out of these maintaining my irrigation system, raised bed gardens, wicking buckets and water collection system. Nice product Husky. Note: These are sold separately or together (the 4 piece) cheaper.
Worked great cutting my irrigation hose. Nice clean cut!

Junk PVC Cutter
The BIG blade assembly has too much play thus resulting in slightly angled cuts defeating the purpose of the tool. There is a mini star strew that appears to tighten it but it doesn't & is very soft metal that wore out. Your cutter blade should have no play for a perfect cut. DO NOT USE THIS ON PEX!

Does not squarely
Very sharp. Cuts PEX with ease, unfortunately theu do not cut square edges. There is a lot of play in the blade and this results on cutting at an angle which would fail at making proper crimp connections.

Inexpensive and well-working pipe cutter. The combination of 2 cutters and extra blades is a good deal..
