I purchased this flexible molding to trim the base of a spiral staircase. Not only is the trim very flimsy but the adhesive is ineffective and less than one would find on the back of a Band-aid. Worthless to me.

If the radius of your bend is too tight to get the InstaTrim to adhere properly a hair dryer can help by softening the InstaTrim around the bend.

This is not a solution to the molding in your bathroom. This is by far the worst product I have ever purchased from Home Depot. Within 1 day of applying the product according to their instructions, It was already coming off the floor and tub. It shrunk over an inch and that was after being very carful not to stretch it while applying. Do not But this Junk Product.

Works fair but adhesive wont always stick and is messy

Sometimes if InstaTrim doesn't stick, it could be due to some silicone residue or some dust.
If that is not the case then maybe using a bit of heat to warm up the InstaTrim to soften the adhesive might help. Also, a little bit of permanent glue will help on splices and finished edges.

The Perfect Solution

After installing a new bathroom floor, we needed to fill in a gap next to the bathtub that was too large to look good with normal caulk. This was the perfect solution. Removed the old silicon caulking per the instructions (took 2 treatments to get all the old caulk off) and it adhered well. Was impressed how easy it was to install even with our rounded tub. The finished look is great and it has stayed stuck well even after several weeks. Will be using this in the future on some other projects. Highly recommend this product.
