Pretty easy to install - just go slow and make sure it’s aligned evenly in the cut out. Use plumbers putty. Looks great. Strainer works well.

Won’t hold water
$60 for a drain that won’t hold water cheap little rubber O-ring. Unbelievable.

Painted poorly
We've only had this drain basket installed a couple months. It has had normal use. We have not used abrasive cleaners, or otherwise scraped it. The paint is flaking off.

DO NOT BUY if you are going to pour hot water in the sink/drain.
Really disappointed with this product, we thought “Kohler” should be great. Installed in new kitchen sink, daughter cooks pasta in water and when done poured in the sink, next thing you know the black is peeling off the drain strainer. Will be inquiring about return/refund. Very disappointing!

Black paint peeling off
We thought because of the good name of the product that we were getting a high quality product. It was pretty … more pricey than most but we trusted the kohler name. We installed on December 24. It is now Jan 9 and paint is working. Sink is well cared for no harsh cleaners or banging around dishes. I have nice rubber Matt. Very sad very dissatisfied

Kohler strainer
Less then 2 weeks installed and the paint is chipping off the strainer. Very poor quality for the money spent! Very disappointed. New kitchen remodel.

Plumber always insists this is the best sink strainer so I buy it for every kitchen sink. It has weight and quality you can feel when you lift it out of the drain to clean it. As a property manager I want fixtures to withstand heavy wear and tear and look great and this strainer does.
