Plumber always insists this is the best sink strainer so I buy it for every kitchen sink. It has weight and quality you can feel when you lift it out of the drain to clean it. As a property manager I want fixtures to withstand heavy wear and tear and look great and this strainer does.

Very solid and easy to install. Sealed well to sink but the strainer basket is challenging to seat well causing the sink to not consistently hold water.

My leaky basket problem found?
So I bought this expensive drain and basket thinking machined parts and oring had to seal. Right? Wrong it didn’t. Blew on the bottom of the basket screw and it didn’t hold air. Unscrewed the oring holder. There was some red sealant on the screw. Removed it because it was crumbly. Put it back together and it hold water pretty good now. Don’t know how it will work when it’s steaming hot water. Still not what I paid for. Just wash dishes faster

The Kohler Duostainer was worth the extra money. The extra bottom ring that secures the assembly with three screws worked very well.

Poor quality
Expensive and cheap. I loved them for the first month. Now they look terrible with the paint peeling off. At least everyone that uses my sink can see the Kohler name and not buy them. Really disappointed

Basket does not seal.
The strainer is nice looking in my new sink, however it doesn’t seal. Very disappointing to have this occur for the money spent on my kitchen remodel.

Sink Strainer-leaks
I bought this to go with my Kohler sink because it was recommended. I paid $60 for it. After the plumber put it in, within 2 weeks we had a leak under out sink. The plumber came back and put some caulking, it held for about 2 months and now we have a leak again. I now have to find a new sink strainer and pay to have someone install it. I am very disappointed in this product
