[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this grill in early 2020, at the start of the COVID lockdowns. I figured if I was going to be stuck at home, I might as well enjoy it. Since then, I've used it at least once or twice a week, weather permitting, and have had very few complaints. I've done everything from quick burgers and seared steaks to full-day smoked pork and beef brisket, and have even used it to smoke my Thanksgiving turkey for the last two years. It has handled everything I've thrown at it, and consistently exceeded my expectations. It's expensive, there's no getting around that, but for someone who will use it often and wants a grill that can handle whatever you want to throw on it, it's worth every penny.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While building an outdoor kitchen I decided to add a smoker and started the research. I had used a traditional off-set smoker for years and explored newer offsets, pellet grills, and ceramic eggs. I landed on the Kamado Joe and so glad I did. I selected the “Big Joe” because I wanted the room and flexibility of the larger surface area. I can smoke at least 4 full slabs of ribs with room to spare, no need to rack them. Full turkeys no problems. However while the room is a plus the quality of the build is the reason for this review. Every aspect of the layout is top notch, the locking hardware, seals and gaskets, and springs all make this product very useable. One of the best features is the ash removal system which makes cleanup a snap, simply sweep the ash to the bottom, pull the tray and dump - simple and easy. The other eggs I looked at required removing ash from the inside. One accessory I recommend is the iKamand which helps manage the temperature accurately and provides automated recipes if needed. So reliable for holding consistent temps for longer cooks and smoking meats, and we also use it quite a bit as a traditional charcoal grill option for burgers or anything else that's not an hours-long process. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this big red machine for a few years now, and could not be happier. you can cook virtually anything on this grill and on the days we have a power outage and the kitchen is closed, we can still make a steak or burgers, a meatloaf and potatoes, mac and cheese, bake a cake, the options are limited to your own creativity. It was a little pricy, and I was a bit skeptical as I knew no one that used a Joe, friends either had an egg or Weber but these offer more options and adjustability than the other brands, so I bought one. I could not be happier. If I had one wish, I'd wish I got a Big Joe instead. When grilling for friends it would be nice to have more cooking surface but I make do.

Whether it's a slow smoke or grilling steaks, the Kamado Joe's flexibility and quality has elevated my backyard cooking game to the next level.

Since late 2020, I have fed more than 1000 people with briskets, ribs, spatchcock chicken, smash burgers, chicken wings, and reverse sear steaks. This KJII beauty is a crowd pleaser. Unfortunately, after 2 years of use, the ceramic completely cracked. Submitted warranty and was able to get most of the parts replaced but it took way too Iong to get the replacement parts. Nonetheless, I’m back up and running with it. Thanks KJ.

I only wish I had bought it years ago. My wife and I are amazed at the flavor that is imparted in the food from this cooking style and it has encouraged us to branch out and try different meals and even desserts on the grill. Highly recommend you get one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this was my first go at a charcoal grill. was a little bit of a learning curve, but once you get it boy do you get it. very efficient as far as fuel consumption. does great for smoking pork butts, brisket etc at low and slow. does great at hot and fast for grilling burgers. add a pizza stone and turns out great pizzas without having to. it a separate pizza oven. add a joetisserie and does great wings in a basket and even great al pastor. great all around grill/smoker that can do many things well.

I was hesitant to lose that digital control. I thought it would be too much work and too unpredictable. I was so wrong. I love my Kamado Big Joe. It does it all and it does it better. No more replacing circuit boards or other small moving parts to keep my smoker/grill running. No more fighting to maintian temp during cold weather smoking and grilling. Once you get that temp dialed in my Big Joe holds it for hours and hours. I will never go back to anything that requires a power cord. Kamado Joe has me for life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kamaod Joe grills are great for outdoor cooking. You can "season" your food with a little smoke, cook low and slow for hours, sear and bake. Want to cook breakfast? No problem.. just throw on a cast iron griddle flat side up and your read to cook. I really enjoy outdoor cooking and just hanging out while cookiing. Fantastic products!
