[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Within a few weeks the number pad / control panel which is plastic coated started peeling / bubbling. I returned it for another brand that has a glass control panel. I should have first read the reviews because others have had the same issue. Photo provided. Look at the Start button and number 1 for examples. Also, the buttons did not work well. I would have to press a number multiple times for it to work. Disappointed in the quality based on the price of the unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just moved in to our new house. I have al KitchenAid appliances. Love the looks! Disappointed with 2 things about the microwave. Doesn’t have “instant” buttons for 1-6 minutes. My GE microwave did. Also, it is really hard to cook hot dogs without having them “explode”. I followed the suggestion of piercing the skin & it was better, but I’ve never had this problem before.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this microwave 2 months ago and it works great, but the plastic covering on the key pad is peeling which is an "eye sore" We can barely read what is printed on the bottom two keys; start and stop, and this is a not a low cost product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this microwave to replace an older model that no longer worked. We found out that all microwave ovens are built be two different manufacturers, and are built as throw away appliances. There are no replacement parts available. Fortunately the trim kit for the new one was the same as the older model KitchenAid we had, so it worked and made the new one very easy to install.

Display segments have failed after a year and a half with minimal use. Apparently, there are lots of problems with this microwave. Look elsewhere.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally bought a whirlpool microwave and had to return it bc the opening mechanism was faulty. I had to press it several times to open the door. Plus it looked so cheap, so we decided to upgrade to the Kitchenaid. The built in looks better as well. I’m still not 100% happy with the opening mechanism. I wish it had a handle instead bc this one is similar to the whirlpool where I have to push the tab in to open and feel that it’s not sensitive enough to open the door easily. At least this one doesn’t get stuck or jammed like the whirlpool. Also the panel looks sort of plasticy, cheap, and not fingerprint resistant. Overall it is a decent microwave but needs a few adjustments. It looks modern and sleek. Very roomy inside the microwave and heats well. The built in looks a tab bit bulky in my opinion but overall we are happy with our purchase.

One of the diodes on the display panel of my KitchenAid Microwave failed after only 15 months of use. The microwave it replaced was 24 years old one and worked perfectly, but was dated so it was replaced as part of a complete kitchen remodel. This is the first diode that I have ever seen fail as far as I can recall. Makes me concerned about the durability and reliability of the microwave and all the other KitchenAid appliances purchase for the remodel. Very disappointing and hard to miss since the missing diode should be on for 9 out of 10 numbers on the clock/timer.

I switched to this KitchenAid and am very happy we did so far. The quality is much better and it works great. The trim kit does not match the microwave though, however it does match the print guard stainless of our new KitchenAid fridge so it works for us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lots of room to heat or cook large casseroles. My only disappointment is that a small point of the finish inside has a flaw with black showing through.

Renovated 105 year old house. Bought all KitchenAid black stainless appliances. Project took 8 mos. By the time we set appliances in place, noticed this microwave appeared to have been dropped on its corner. Beverage cooler also has a bent side, but it’s usable. I realize it is over the one month damage warranty. Would just like to buy another for the same price I paid. Or can it be repaired? Is that too much to ask??

Product works great but overpriced only purchased to match the other appliances. Plus Home Depot double the order from there online system and charged me twice

Microwave arrived ahead of promised delivery date, was well packed to no shipping damage. Took 30 minutes to remove old and install this new one. Have been using for two weeks now ... works great evenly cooking food ... no problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement for one we purchased when we redid our kitchen in 2019. Works well until it did not and the life may have been shortened when our generator had a malfunction. We had it as a built in and it looks like it; did not know it was a counter-top until we replaced it.

Numbers on screen go out after about a year. The button to open door becomes stuck after about a year. Absolutely ridiculous that this would happen twice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive had several KA microwaves. This sounds tinny when closing the door. There is not a defined steam just fresh vegetable. Cannot control how soft or firm one wants the vegetables. One should not have to push cook time button prior to selecting time. Too many steps. Keyboard requires extra pressure to make a selection. Clock colon flashes constantly.

It is the second microwave that died in two years. Called support 2 days after the warranty expired and they would not do anything about it. I will never buy another Kitchenaid appliance ever.

We've been in our house a little over 3 years now and this microwave has quit working already. Whenever you shut the door the microwave makes a humming noise like it's running. Now I have to buy another one so it matches the rest of the appliances after just 3 years and 1 month. Hopefully this one last a little longer because it looks like it's being discontinued.

After much searching , I only found 2 brands that matched. I choose this one. I am very pleased with my selection. I don’t feel there is anything outstanding about this microwave. It does the job. Looks nice. My old microwave had a handle to opening and closing the microwave. I do not like the button, but all the models I looked at had the button. They need to go back to handles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this one month ago. Replaced a working microwave, but wanted this to match the new oven upgrade in our home. From day one there is a RATTLE noise when in use. It comes and goes but sounds like a loose fan or uneven glass plate. As I dive deeper into this I find out our new microwave was actually over 2 years old and just sitting in a box. I'm not saying that's why it rattles but it didn't sit well with me either! As far as looks and how fast it heats up food is great. But I purchased this oven and other KitchenAid appliances to upgrade with and considering the cost this is unacceptable!
