[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a quality appliance to add to our kitchen. Kitchen Aid had the features, quality, and value I was looking for. Imam loving it! Our new Kitchen Aid can have a home here as long as it wants!

We got this fridge about one and a half years ago because it came as close as possible to the "built in" look without spending 10k on a "built in" fridge. It was one of the few ones that is truly "counter-deep". A lot of so called counter-depth fridges will still stick out a few inches from the cabinets, even more so if you can't hollow out the wall behind it for the water supply line, which was the case for us. This one was less deep than other counter depth fridges but it is taller than standard ones, which gives it a more elegant look. Because we could not hollow out the wall behind it for the supply line it is still sticking out a little bit from the cabinets and you can see the sides. Thankfully the sides are grey (rather than the usual black) and blend in with the stainless steel color. The fridge has plenty of room for our 2 person household. The only issue that I have with it is that the temperature of the dispensed water is warm when I dispense more than a coup or two. I subtracted a star for that but overall I 'm still very happy with my purchase. The photos show the fridge with Ikea cabinets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would love this refrigerator except the drawers feel cheap. One of them doesn’t roll very well and they are just feel very light weight and like plastic. This was not a cheap refrigerator and I purposefully chose KitchenAid because I generally feel like they have quality products. I also feel like the refrigerator door is missing a shelf and the freezer looks like it could use another shelf. So far it is working well for the 5 months I’ve been using it.

Mean while my old Amana went out two weeks before getting this one!! I really enjoy this fridge, lots of room and the ice maker works great!! So far very happy with my purchase!!

We've had this unit installed for about 2 weeks and are generally pleased with it. On all the KitchenAid sites I've looked at, it's indicated that this unit is supposed to have 4 shelves in both the Freezer and the Refrigerator but it only came with 3 each. Our old side by side had 4 shelves in each and one of the reasons we chose this unit was to get close to the capacity of the old one. The old one was 24.1 Cu Ft. I'm trying to get the additional shelves from the retailer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge during the pandemic because we had a crappy Samsung that did not live up to its promise “to make tons of ice” and also the temp was not accurate ruining our food. This was a little more than I wanted to pay because it was low profile. BUT... I LOVE IT and will only by KichenAid appliances from now on!! Thank you KitchenAid for making an awesome product!!! makes ice all the time and keeps Yhe food perfect!!

I have had the machine for about three weeks. It replaced a 15 year old KitchenAid (counter depth) that was built far better than this new one. The drawers are flimsy and what is called a "crisper drawer" is ridiculously small. If you are not a vegetable consumer you will be fine. Generally that machine feels flimsy. The waster dispenser and the location of the filter, is about the only upgraded features that I can recommend at this time.

In one year, the supposedly stainless steel facia already got rust spots on it, I don’t live around ocean! The shelves have developed deep stress cracks around the glass and some are about to break. The water cooler is not very cold. All the fake stainless parts are fading. My old 90’s whirlpool in the garage is still going strong. Kitchen aid should be ashamed of selling junk products under premium name for ridiculous prices.

I installed a new kitchen for us in June of this year. I made the cabinets and counter tops for it. We completely gutted the kitchen (including the flooring) and replaced everything in it. We got a Miele Dishwasher, KitchenAid stove, and KitchenAid refrigerator. The delivery of the last was delayed because of supply problems for the manufacturer, but I did want to add our experiences to the ratings for this refrigerator. Bear in mind, though, that we have only had it in our kitchen since November 20, 2020, just three weeks. The number one complaint others have had with this refrigerator is the ice maker. We have not had a bit of a problem with ours. Whenever a few new ice cubes are made, you can hear them drop into the bin if you're close to the refrigerator. The ice maker then runs for about ten seconds. Again, if you are in the kitchen you can hear this little bit of noise. At the other end of the house we hear nothing from the ice maker. To us it is absolutely not a problem or any kind of a drawback. I am only talking about it now to share my experiences with others. Those who have complained about the ice maker are overly sensitive to that little bit of noise--or they bought a lemon. And, in fairness, maybe in a couple of weeks our ice maker will start acting up too! But so far, so good. As for the other features of the refrigerator, we love it. The lighting in both refrigerator and freezer section is wonderful. You can see everything. They even put a tiny light into the ice bin! We are very pleased with all three of our new appliances and would recommend them to anyone. Especially this refrigerator.

As another review stated My refrigerator after only 5 years stopped cooling. As you can see leaked all inside the refrigerator. My warranty just ran out 2 months ago. Kitchen aid told me the sealing system would not be covered either way. So now $3300.00 and 5 years old I am replacing my refrigerator. I will never buy another Kitchen Aid again. Where is there intergity to stand behind their product!

Great looking fridge but if you look closely, there are potentially big issues. I recently had this Fridge installed and noticed that the casing that covers the perimeter of the ice maker does not sit flush against the door and, as a result, you can the insulation underneath. The big question is was this fridge purposely built this way? If so, very poor design and workmanship.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am enjoying this side by side as much as my old French Door. The larger refrigerator space is very convenient. I drink a lot of water and love the auto feature where you simply set you glass inside, press the water button and the amount you previously will automatically dispense without you standing there pressing a button.

After 14 months this Refrigerator had broken wires in the door and the cooling system continues to freeze up. We have lost 2 refrigerators full of food and have still have not had or Fridge fixed. KitchenAid does not stand behind their junk products. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!

I had a Sub-Zero for 15 years and this refrigerator is similar to my older Sub-zero (dependable and impressive. There is nothing I can say that's bad about this unit. The only thing I can honestly say is "If you need a new refrigerator and don't want to worry about waking up to thawed or spoiled food; buy a KitchenAid"

I bought a KitchenAid refrigerator because I thought it was a high end product from a great company that stood behind their product. I was wrong. This refrigerator has needed multiple repairs over it's relatively short life and now it's not cooling at all. Very long story short, the parts of my refrigerator are still under warranty, but it can't be fixed. Instead of replacing my refrigerator like a company that stands behind its products would, @KitchenAid is offering to let me buy a new refrigerator at the low, low discounted price of $1500. So unacceptable. I won't buy KitchenAid unless they fix this again and I hope you won't either.

We've had this fridge for just over 2 months and we are already on our second service call. Fridge has not been able to keep things cool because the defrost cycling isn't working right. The fresh air vent at the bottom of the fridge side keeps freezing over and not working, causing the fridge side to work too hard and eventually overheat that side. Thankfully the freezer has kept working, but we've had to clear out our fridge twice and are currently waiting for another part to be delivered and fixed. For the short time it has been working it's a nice enough fridge with some nice features. Like the access to the ice bucket, auto filling water to a set ounces, good lighting, and flexibility with the shelves. The service guy has been nice the 3 times we've seen him so far. Unfortunately we got a lemon and probably should have gone with our first choice instead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second refrigerator. Delivered 57 2020. The original was bought in May 2019. The first one had issues icing up, I constantly had a repairman here doing work. Eventually Whirlpool Corp. agreed to replace the appliance for free. New appliance has been in for a week. I get inconsistent temperature Readings. the refrigerator compartment has a range of 23° to 46*. However the temp control is set at 37.The freezer seems to maintain a range of -4* to +9°

Just got this today, and I love it! It is truly beautiful, and I am so glad I spent a little more over a "base" less expensive model/brand as it really makes my kitchen look awesome. Inside and out it looks and feels very solid and high end. I love the space, and the lighting. I also really like that the side ref. door "pockets" (or whatever you call them that hold the milk ect) can be removed separate from the metal frame. Yes, on my old ref I could also move, and remove them, but on this frig they are actually two parts and there is a handle you can lift them out of. This I can see being very useful for both cleaning, and just grabbing that draw (say with sauses in it) and putting it on the table! Im surprised this was not a "feature" shown in the manual. Likewise, there are many little things that have clearly been well thought out. It also seems to be very very quite, which I REALLY like. However, I have a few items I don't like so far (and thus not 5 star). Number one, and the biggest, is that they only give you 3 shelves in the refrigerator, but there are 4 slots. See my picture. You can easily use 4 and with 3 its almost like they forgot one as there is a HUGE space between two of them. Same in freezer although not nearly as bad as frig side. Kitchen Aid - If you read these please post the part number for the glass shelf's. I cant find them anywhere with the dimensions I measure (13" x 17.5"). I will definitively be ordering one to fill the gap. The next item is the 8 second max time for the 1 cup water flow. I have an in-house separate filter system and that feeds a line to my sink, my coffee maker, and my frig. But the pressure is MUCH less than my in-house water pressure and thus it takes me about 10 seconds to fill a 1 cup calibration glass. But as its over 8 seconds the calibration fails. DUMB...I have no problem pushing the button and walking away for a couple seconds for a glass to fill. My solution is to calibrate at 1/2 cup, and then double the output (eg specify 16 oz when I want 8)...but this a dumb engineering limit thats one variable in the software code. Another issues good/bad is the amount of plastic covering on the frig. I guess its great as everything is brand new once its off...but man there is a lot of it (and tape as well). I do have the same issue with the expansion foam out the bottom (second picture). Also, the sides of the frig BOW out about 1/2" on each side in the middle. No big deal, but noticeable. I am still waiting on the first batch of ice to make...so no comments there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am delighted with this fridge! Not only does it look beautiful, but it is so well designed and such an efficient use of space. It feels like my much larger fridge! I LOVE the measure and fill feature for water since I like to cook. It is a crazy convenient time saver andonce calibrated, it is perfectly accurate! I will say that the exterior finish is sort of odd... while it is definitely fingerprint resistant compared to straight up stainless, I have other black stainless appliances that stay clean much longer. It is also unusual that magnets will adhere to the front of this fridge since they do not stick to most stainless appliances.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We decided to replace our 27 cu ft 19 year old KAid fridge with this new counter depth 25 cu ft KAid as our Christmas gift to each other. Many new features on the new model; definitely keeps vegetables fresher longer, temps are more easily controlled in both freezer and refrigerator, LED lighting does a much better job of illuminating the interior, and the ice maker in the door yields more freezer space than in the old unit.. While the counter depth size looks better in the kitchen, the smaller interior is definitely noticed with the reduced storage space. Also, would like to see a couple more shelves in the blank space on the refrigerator door. This would help utilize interior space. Unit runs very quiet. Energy rating is better than the old unit, but have not had a chance to monitor usage yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For those of you looking for a nice refrigerator that has a few bells and whistles, this is a good choice. My only complaints are that the drawers have to be pulled out upward to slide out smoothly and that there are a few workmanship issues (i.e. the material used to glue the metal door cover was squeezed out on the corners of the door and water dispenser...and the paint job on the edge of one side of the water dispenser is pretty badly scraped).

Looks nice and works great so far. But, for a high end price pretty poor quality of the exterior and interior. Bottom cover should be stainless instead of plastic. Looks a bit cheap. Flimsy drawers, don't move in and out smoothly as you would expect from a high quality unit. Don't expect them to last long until they break. Should come with additional shelf and door bins for more flexibility and use of space. Seems to have production issues with protruded door insulation - see pictures. First unit came with bent doors, second one is better but still not what I would expect from the higher end KitchenAid brand. Quality control doesn't seem up to speed - see pictures. Overall ok but not worth the additional price to comparable products.
