**Proper Installation Instructions and Photos
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just installed this Lg dish washer and found the installation instructions lacking regarding the specific design of this model. This unit has the electronic controls mounted FLAT on the TOP surface of the door. In case of emergency/ water leak, etc., you need physical access the the start button in order to shut down them DW during its operation-when the door is CLOSED. Because of this you cannot raise the DW to the bottom of the countertop as shown in the manual and use the mounting brackets as they are designed to be used. Instead you need to mount the unit at a lower height where you can both see the electronic panel and physically access it with your fingers. Next step is to level the DW. Now measure the space between the top of the DW and the underside of the counter. I made a wood strip to these dimensions to fill this void. You will now need to remove the DW after leveling and measuring the space above the DW in order to securely mount the wood strip under the countertop (screws, glue, adhesive caulk). After the Dw is slid back into place you will again need to level the DW. Then you will need to bend the mounting bracket upwards at 90 degrees so that you can screw the mounting screws into the face of this new wood strip. The last set up instruction in the manual is the operational test. Here it states that in the event you need to shut the the DW off, you need to push and hold the Start button for 3 seconds. If you have installed the DW to the manual directions and used the mounting bracket as designed (flat), you will not be able to see or access the Start button in case of any leaks, etc., now or in the future. See photos. Hope this helps.

I've had this dishwasher for a day. Following the final installation instructions to use a flat head screwdriver to adjust the leveling feet, the left leveling foot broke. I cannot adjust this foot, even with a socket wrench. It's made of a soft plastic material, almost candle-like. (If this review states it was for a sweepstakes, that is not true. I've not entered a sweepstakes. I'm just angry about an expensive piece of equipment I pre-ordered only to have a cheap piece of plastic break the day it finally arrives.)

      Wonderful experience all around!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our first brand new built in home appliances. I painstakingly poured over several websites trying to find the perfect dishwasher at the perfect price. Little did I know that all I needed was the right website, search features, and payment terms. I ended up with every feature that I wanted and then some. The dishwasher connects to my phone so I can download custom wash cycle, start and stop it remotely, and it can tell me if it needs more rinse aid, or when a cycle is finished. The installation and delivery people were professional and prompt. They got in, installed and left all with minimal mess left behind. It was a great experience and we have no complaints!

      Terrible dishwasher, terrible customer service
This LG dishwasher is terrible. Its cleaning performance is below average. My 15 year old KitchenAid dishwasher did a better job and was quieter than this LG. The drying is the worst I've seen in a dishwasher. Even after 13 hours on the night/extra day setting, the dishes are not dry, there are puddles of water on the bottom of the tub, and the racks are still dripping wet, which overtime will likely lead to mold/health hazard Called Home Depot and their customer service was unhelpful and rude. They don't support or stand behind the products they sell - but merely directed me to the manufacturer, which is also outsourced and unhelpful. Disappointed in Home Depot and LG

        Ok function
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dishwasher a couple weeks ago but I do not like the fact that the dry steam is by the door. When the load is complete the door is always wet! Never dry i always need to dry my dishes with a cloth.

What a great dishwasher! You really can't go wrong with LG ...the quality and design are outstanding ...quite an upgrade from the builder-quality dishwashers I'm used to. The stainless exterior really does resist fingerprints, and the stainless interior keeps the noise level far below that of a dishwasher with a plastic interior. I really love the shallow third shelf on top for knives, etc. The electronic controls are intuitive and we'll thought-out, too. The installation instructions and user manual are clear and well-written. Installation was straight-forward if you can do basic electrical and plumbing work. It was just like the other dishwashers I've installed. It's actually pleasant installing such a well-designed product. Highly-recommended.

Great Dishwasher. Much better than the old one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased 3 months ago and wish I would have gotten it sooner. Cleans great with lot's or great features. I especially love the sanitize feature in this age of COVID and the wi-fi enabled control that lets me start the dishwasher remotely and tells me when the wash is complete . Installed myself with only a few minor issues. Wi-fi connection was an issue. Instructions don't tell you what the default password is for initial connection. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

          Elegance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the dishwasher several months ago to complete the aesthetics of a complete kitchen remodel. It is very quiet, cleans impeccably, and very sleek. It definitely adds to a very modern and posh kitchen.

Its a good washer and does great job of cleaning dishes. Downside is that it sticks out past a standard kitchen counter and the bottom rack is inefficiently designed. We bought this to replace a Bosch dishwasher that was only a few years old but had the pump fail making it uneconomical to repair. That unit generally performed well though occasionally some food would not be removed. The LG is very quiet and delivers outstanding cleaning and drying performance especially given that we run ours usually overnight and use the night dry function. Its got a great array of cycles and seems to clean better than the Bosch did. I like that the top silverware rack has the ability to lower one side to accommodate taller item there. The slides for the racks are also exceedingly smooth. The negatives are that this unit sticks out past the edge of the countertop which means that if you wanted the clean look of a top control unit your not really getting it now. This also leaves controls exposed to small curious hands. The lower rack has uniform spacing of the tines which makes it less efficient than the Bosch which did not. The plus is that you can fold down almost all the tines on both racks if you so desire. Finally I can't say why but the middle rack seems to hold less than was the case with our previous dishwasher.

This LG dishwasher has many rich features as technology leads everything forward. For instant you can use the delicate cycle or wash a half load in the bottom basket or the top basket instead of regular loads. It also has wi-fi and a third rack at the top for flat cooking utensils and other flatter items. You can also wash your dish sponges to sanitize them periodically. It's energy star rated to help with costs and preserve our earth resources The quality of materials and electronics are most desirable. I especially like the stainless steel interior tub which is hugely desirable over the older plastic interiors. And how about that 10 year motor warranty and the quite decibels. Hopefully it will earn its worth as time goes by.

My wife and i love this dishwasher. It's quiet, does a great job of washing the dishes, the glasses come out spotless. It also looks great installed. The third rack is very nice and there's plenty of room for everything. The rack slides in and out better than any other dishwasher's rack.

I received the dishwasher on 10/28/20 and it was installed on 11/6/20. The swap out was easy to connect. My dishwasher was installed in time for weekend guests. With Covid19 we dined in most of the weekend. This left me with more dishes than usual to wash. The first evening we ran the dishwasher twice. The last cycle was started at bedtime. I am impressed with how quiet the dishwasher did operate. If not for the lights on the control panel we would have not known that the dishwasher was in service. With the first cycle, I failed to add the rinse aid and as predicted the drying was not sufficient. Before starting the second load, we added the rinse aid the dishes dried efficiently. The dishwasher did a good job on regular soiled dishes in the first load. The second load was the heaver soiled pots and pans. The dishwasher did a great job on them. I am incredibly pleased with my new LG dishwasher and highly recommend it.

This Dishwasher is a massive upgrade to my builder quality dishwasher. We have only had the LG installed a week, but the wife's happy, the M-I-L is happy, so I'm happy!!! After I read the reviews, I was worried because of complaints about drying. Compared to my previous dishwasher, the LG DRIES SPECTACULARLY. We haven't tried all the settings yet, but just the normal run cycle has left us with clean and dried dishes. There will always be those containers that hold water in pockets that no dishwasher can get. But the cups that have held water in our previous dishwasher are dry in this LG. The LG is also quiet and very sleek looking. The Stainless interior with the printproof exterior gives us the durability we wanted. We are still experimenting with the adjustable racks, and have used the slim top rack occasionally. Years of habit keeps us using the included utensil basket. The LG comes with an app that allows you to track and start the dishwasher. So far, we haven't used it, but I can see where the app will help in the future. The controls are on the top and that took a moment to get used to, but it's just a learning process for us. Controls are bright and well marked so you can make your adjustments. I love the run timer. The button sounds and completion trill is pleasant as well. I would recommend this LG dishwasher without hesitation.

This Lg electronics top control smart dish washer with quad wash is a great appliance and looks amazing. Color and design are spot on. Dish washer has a ton features and my favorite is having the smaller 3rd rack up top because we put our baby items up there that usually fall out and into the dirty water. Easy to install for the average DIY’er who knows a little about electrical. We had to use a recessed outlet so the dishwasher could sit back a little more because we used the cord and plug rather than having a dedicated line. Easier if you have to remove the dish washer. Took awhile for the review because we got this for a New remodel project which you can tell from the pictures but we did get it up and running and it was quite and cleaned the dishes great. Some of the cycles take along time but well worth it. Definitely recommend.

The LG top control quad wash smart dishwasher with 3 shelves led me skeptical at first due to only a couple customer reviews on the new product. I have had luck with LG previously so decided this was my choice based on the great features. I LOVE the three shelves. The center shelf is adjustable as well as the left side of the top shelf. The bottom shelf has awesome basket adjustability for the “fingers” the dishes slide inbetween. The steam feature is great as well as the delayed start with Wifi and downloadable cycles. It runs VERY quiet and dries great. Very satisfied!!

Home Depot delivered and installed my LG Smart Dishwasher last week and I couldn't be more pleased! First, it is so quet I hardly know that it is running which is a huge bonus compared to my older GE dishwasher that we only ran when we were asleep or away from the house because it was so loud. The 3-door adjustable racks are perfect for handling various sizes of pots, pans and dishes and the top rack handles large flatware, spatulas, etc. The lower rack has adjustable tines that can be raised or lowered so that large or smaller dishes can fit, but they are very sensitive and do not always stay in place, but that's a minor inconvenience. There are so many options available to adjust the cycles that I haven't had time to experiment with all of them, but suffice to say there is a cycle combination to deal with just any cleaning requirement imaginable as well as extra dry or night dry options depending on your circumstances. There is also a machine clean feature to eliminate residual soils, odors, spots or other dirt. It is also wi-fi enabled allowing you to communicate with it using a smartphone and dowload new and specialized cycles that are not standard on the dishwasher and to diagnose any problems while using it. As far as cleaning goes, I found the dishwasher to be as good as any I have used. I noticed spots on glassware from my initial wash but changed cycles and added a rinse agent on subsequent cycles and the problem has not reoccured.

Another great product from LG. It's all stainless steel, inside and out. It looks great and functions very well. Dishes come out very nice and clean. It runs very quietly. I love the quad rack set-up. the top rack is great for spatulas, long knives and utensils. I also like that the controls are hidden when the door is closed. I also like the smooth front. No handle standing out. The installation turned out to be relatively easy with the plumbing, hardware, electrical packets.

This dishwasher has some pluses and two minuses. It cleans dishes like nobody’s business, It looks nice. it is quiet (and my old dishwasher was quiet but this is a bit quieter) when running. It has the steam technology for tough stuck-on residue on pots and pans. I really like the quadwash feature (four rotating spray arm) and of course the third tray is useful for all the spatulas, wood spoons, and so on. There is a large protruding lift handle in the middle of the silverware basket and as such, half of the basket is less accessible when putting in and taking out silverware. The handle seems in the way. There is a 10 year direct drive motor label on the front of the washer's door. This to me is something I would prefer not to see. With extra dry on, the dishes come out dry. With regular drying, hard plastics seem to retain a bit of water on them but really less than what my old dishwasher left. Wifi was easy to set up. The dishwasher runs longer on most cycles than I am used to but this is new technology and I believe the dishwasher heats the rinse water. The express cycle is about a half hour long for lightly soiled dishes; other cycles are longer. I use a rinse aid and I have a water softener. My glasses come out crystal clear. Energy operating costs come out about $45 a year. The dishwasher heats the rinse water but not the wash waster. The instructions recommend running the sink's hot water until hot so the dishwasher is fed hot waster to start the first cycle. I had installation included; the installers were great but they left me with one issue regarding the door sticking out a half inch from the counter top. .The dishwasher appears not to be correctly installed (it was installed by installers, not me); the sides of the tub line up with the cabinets but the handle, built into the washer door as an entire piece, stick out from under the countertop by about a half inch. Sitting in the kitchen, I can see the center on light and part of the time display. When standing at the sink I can see the handle jutting out. I did not realize this until the installers had left; when I called, they told me they would have had to drill another hole on the side of the cabinet run the water line, the electric line and the drain hose differently (which no one would have seen). So I was a bit surprised I was told this after the fact and they just didn't do it the right way the first time. I would have preferred a flush with the counter look as I had with my old dishwasher. My wife agrees the half-inch out look is not for her either. I am going to ask for it to be reinstalled/repositioned. The verdict: it looks nice, it cleans well, and it is quiet. I would recommend this dishwasher because dishwasher technology has evolved and LG is on top of that with this model.

Our house had a brand new, never been used, bottom of the line (different brand – not LG) dishwasher when we moved in almost eight years ago. It worked fine but, it was never a great dishwasher for several reasons. We picked up this LG Top Control Smart Dishwasher in PrintProof Stainless Steel with QuadWash as a better-quality replacement and are quite happy with it. It performs much better than that old one in all respects. I had carefully measured all the cabinet opening dimensions and the water, drain and power connections before ordering. The cabinet opening height was the only questionable item as it was going to be a close fit. I knew I could trim the top of the cabinet or remove the engineered hardwood flooring at the bottom if height turned out to be an issue. But I did not have to. The contracted, delivery/installers arrived very timely on the planned date. They were knowledgeable, polite, clean and courteous. They brought along a nice braided, SS supply line and a new power cord as part of the install package I had ordered. The dishwasher comes with neither. Just an attached drain hose. Before the installers arrived, I had pulled out the old dishwasher myself, so I could clean the opening out – the dishwasher hadn’t been out in almost 8 years - and drop a dishwasher pan underneath that I picked up at a local Home Depot. This LG dishwasher has a safety float switch to detect leaks but, the pan is extra insurance in case of a hose or connection leak in the space. Nothing ruins a kitchen floor quite like an undetected dishwasher leak that seeps into the flooring & subflooring The installers at first were worried about the height as LG dishwashers are evidently slightly taller than others. But, after putting the new LG in front of the opening and doing some measurements, we agreed it would go in. However, the installer said the new power cord was just five feet long and while it would reach the receptacle under the sink, he wouldn’t be able to feed it behind the dishwasher and into the access hole with only the five feet to work with because of how the cord has to be routed in a channel from the front of the dishwasher to the back.. He said they would have to schedule a return visit and bring a longer cord. When I suggested that we just use the cord from the old dishwasher as it was the same gauge for the same application but longer, he told me he could not do that because of “policies”. At that point, I told him I would just install it myself and thanked him. From my perspective, the new power cord would easily reach the outlet under the sink and we could just tie a string to the plug, run it through the cabinet access hole and pull the cord home as we pushed the dishwasher back. He did share with me that, they not only deliver and install for HD, but they also pick up returns. And, that they he had not encountered any returns on LG kitchen appliances which was a positive to help offset a couple of not so happy customer reviews here on the HD website for this newer, LG model. The included installation in the package I got was worth just having them haul the old dishwasher and packaging from the new dishwasher away anyway. I have installed dishwashers before and, it is not rocket science. After they left, I put the old, longer power cord on the new LG and spent about two hours following the nice instructions for installation that were provided in the LG manual. It all went right in. And that gave me a chance to play with some variables like, how far into the cabinet I wanted to have the dishwasher mounted and to take my time and level it perfectly as outlined in those instructions. I mounted the dishwasher with the door projecting just out from the cabinet face and somewhat further out than the vertical face of the bullnose tile on the countertop above. We have found that crumbs and other debris from the countertop fall onto the top controls of the dishwasher installed this far out in the week we have had it installed. I may undo the front brackets and reset it another half inch or so into the cabinet opening to avoid this. We will not be able to see the top controls without opening the door if I move it back, but we will avoid the accumulation of crud on those top controls from the countertop above. I offer this comment as something a reader might want to keep in mind should they chose to install a top control dishwasher like this. We have run the unit only a couple of times since we installed it and have found it to clean very well and dry better, but not as well as I’d actually like, than that old dishwasher we had. So far, we have successfully used the Autowash and Rinse cycles with the Energy Saver and Night Dry options. I cannot speak to the other cycles or options as I have not had occasion to try them. The specs for this dishwasher tell me it is using far less water and energy than our old model did. And, this LG is so quiet, I cannot really tell it is running, even when I put my down next to it after turning it on. The discharge of water into the disposal in the sink is the loudest sound it makes during a cycle. So far, I would give it a five-star rating for performance. I cannot comment on durability though. Because we have only had it for a little over a week. If it goes ten years like other dishwashers I have had, it would be a solid five star all around. LG puts a 10-year warranty on the drive motor which says something about their belief in their own product. We specifically got the top control option for the smooth door face. We like the appearance and it is easy to wipe. We did not want a handle on the dishwasher though as we work on the counter above regularly and have found that handles at that height get in the way, often somehow managing to catch in the pockets on our attire. A bonus of the top controls is that they keep small children from pressing buttons or rotating dials and changing the settings as had happened with our granddaughter on the old one with the dials and buttons on the front. Caveat though: We are both nearsighted and, we must put glasses on to see the tiny font labels on that top control when we are setting cycles and options. Luckily, they do light up when the power button is pushed. The PrintProof™ Stainless Steel seems to be more than a gimmick and I had my doubts. It really does not seem to get the fingerprints that our other SS appliances do. I set up the LG Smart ThinQ app on my iPhone right away as I am prone to do. But frankly, I have not discovered any great value in it. I have not taken the time to work with it and learn more. I mean, the dishwasher is either on and running its cycle or it is off. What more am I going to do with an automation for this appliance? The Smart Diagnosis function may prove of value if we ever have any difficulties. The three racks glide in and out very smoothly. This is a feature that LG touts as Glide Rail. The tines do fold down in sections on both lower level racks which can be an advantage to allow for large items. I have found that it is easy to accidently knock a row over when loading a larger, heavier item in from the top. Rack height adjustability is easy to use and we have found just the right settings to allow us to fit our usual loads in the three racks without interference. Even our broiler pan if judiciously placed to the very side. I have also found that I really like the flatware drawer at the very top. It is easy enough to load and unload and lets me pull the cutlery basket out providing more room in the bottom rack for other items. It also means some spatula or large fork does not end up jamming the spray arm rotation on the bottom of the second rack. My spouse is more traditional and does not like having the flatware and utensils in the top rack and prefers the cutlery basket approach. Sounds: This dishwasher has a computerized musical tune for power on/off, etc. We also have an LG Microwave that does that. In reviews for that microwave, some people complained that they did not like the musical chime and that they really were not happy that there was no way to turn that off. I thought those reviewers were overly harsh. However, now that we have this LG dishwasher with the same feature and, I cannot find any reference as to how to turn it off, I am more inclined to understand the earlier complaints about the LG microwaves. This world is a noisy place and, I would rather live without my dishwasher adding to the din. But apparently, I do not have that option here. ☹ Like all dishwashers I have ever seen, the openings in the bottom rack are quite large. Which means we cannot stack glasses and similar, smaller items there because of those larger openings. And, for us, drinking glasses fill up the second rack faster than anything else that fills up the lower and upper racks. We would really like to be able to stack some water glasses on that bottom rack between the dishware. And, as I mentioned before, I would really like to see the dishes end up dryer than they do. Well, not the dishes really but the bottoms of the coffee mugs and particularly, the plastic storage containers that we put in there. This LG has an actual vent fan that pushes air out. It does not depend on just superheating the load as many do. And the Night Dry function gets the load dryer than any other dishwasher I have seen. I would just like it to be more. :-) Overall, we are incredibly pleased at this point.

Great service and reliability with dishwasher.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So Far no major problems with dishwasher. A service man came over about a month ago and he was very friendly and we got along and he was very helpful. He drove a long distance to come here and I do appreciate his attention.

Leaks about 1 out of 4 times run
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher does a great job washing the dishes unless it is leaking. It leaks about 1 in 4 times that we run it. We need to put a wash towel under the front door every time we run it. Then we check to towel about 20 minutes into the wash to see it it is wet. We are working on getting it repaired.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching us. I'm so sorry to hear that your LG LDP6810SS dishwasher is leaking, Trudy. I can imagine how frustrating it must be to have to deal with water damage and mess every time you use the dishwasher. First and foremost, I want to acknowledge the great job your dishwasher does in cleaning your dishes. It's clear that it's doing a fantastic job when it's working correctly. But, I'm deeply sorry that it's not functioning as expected due to the leaking issue. I can understand how inconvenient it must be to have to put a wash towel under the front door every time you run the dishwasher, and then checking it for moisture 20 minutes into the cycle. It's unacceptable that you have to go through this hassle. Please reach out to us on social media @LGUSSupport so we can help you further. ^Cris
                        Great Dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how quiet the dishwasher is. Only issue is if bowls cups aren't put in down position may not become fully clean.

                        Not long lasting after all
For the most part this dishwasher have served our family well. We use it everyday day. It was quiet and low maintenance. However, after 2 years and four months it has a weird grinding sound. And needs to be replaced.
