I bought my LG washer about 2 weeks ago and I love it. It is quiet and washes thoroughly. I love the bedding feature for washing my queen size comforter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't need am appliance that can calculate a re-entry vector; I need a washing machine that will do all the simple things. This thing is so frustrating I need a martini and a hydroxizine so I don't take a hammer to it. I should not have to search YouTube for a video to learn how to do a simple rinse and spin. I need a washing machine that will let me add water to any cycle. This model switches to Deep Wash if I try. I do not need to Deep Wash my kitchen towels. I do not need to Deep Wash my jeans. I do not need to Deep Wash my sheets. And the bedding cycle fills the entire drum with water, no matter how many sheets you put it. That's about 40 gallons of water! I swear, some of these machines must be designed by men who have never done laundry in their lives. It's infuriating. The manual is useless. I would return it if I could!

I have had this machine for two weeks and still learning which settings to use for particular items. Also wish my washer had a towel setting which it does not. Runs quietly. Delicate cycle for lightly soiled shirts and tops is wonderful. Clothes are not all knotted up.

It only releases enough water to soak into the clothes and then you've got wet clothes. Just sloshing around in the bottom of a washing machine. I have to add three or four gallons of water out of my kitchen sink to every load to make it wash correctly. I will never buy another LG product. Do not waste your money or you will regret it I promise.

I love LG products but I just bought a washer 5/31/23. By July 7th, the tub is rusting. Waiting for LG to fix which they are doing. Hope this product lasts. Should get a new one instead of a fix.

I haven't run many loads through this washer yet, but so far is seems good and cleans as expected. It's got all the features and cycles you would expect; I particularly like the delay start. It comes with a fairly thick instruction manual, but even after using an older model washing machine for many years, the controls are very intuitive. Installation is also easy; two hoses and a drain, just like any standard washing machine. I think the clear lid is pretty cool, but I'm also pretty easily entertained.

This is my first impeller washer. This LG washer offer lots of features. 1. Very spacious. This top loader has quite a large capacity. Ideal when washing larger blankets and comforters. 2. The impeller allows for clothing to move more freely and avoids clothing becoming tangled when using agitator-washers. 3. There is a tray for adding bleach and detergent, similar to what you'll find on laundromat washers, allowing the washer to distribute automatically during the wash cycles. 4. Numerous wash/spin cycle options to choose from. 5. Plays a tune at the end of the wash cycle. Delivery, as always, was great.

The washer is ok. Not as good as a previous impeller washer that I had but it is good. Everything is electronic selections. It will take HE liquid soap or regular powder detergent in the dispenser, I like that convenience but you will have to remove the soap dispenser insert for the powder soap use. There is also a separate fabric softener and Bleach tray to automatically add to the wash at the appropriate time. The see through top lid is pretty nice. I can see inside and see how my clothes are washing (or not). Yes, I noticed with fewer clothes (about 10-15 pieces or less) on regular wash cycle the clothes do not mix well and the water level leaves the top layer of clothes without any water or soap. During the start up where water and soap is added, all the clothes will get wet and get soap. BUT during the agitation cycle the top layer of clothes do not get turned down into the water and soap to get agitated and cleaned. I understand the Impeller is supposed to act as if you are hand washing but the top clothes are just not getting cycled through. This only happens if 1) you are using the normal wash cycle and 2) you have very few clothes in the washer. The GOOD NEWS this can be resolved any of the following ways. 1) Place More Clothes in the washer as the numerous amounts of clothes work together to rotate and cycle from top to bottom. 2) use the BEDDING wash cycle as the washer will add more water to the drum. Or 3) use the Waterproof wash cycle as again more water is added to the drum. I have not seen any deep-water option cycle as my previous washer has that would also remedy the issue so these above options are the only way I have thus far made it work. Speaking of the WATERPROOF wash cycle… THIS IS GREAT!!!! Now my waterproof bedding and rain coats get fully cleaned and with such gentleness. This was always a problem with my previous water efficient washer but this washer option has fixed that issue, Thank you. Overall this washer is not the best but it still gets the job done to my satisfaction.

The LG washer is a fantastic addition to our home. My wife and I enjoy that it has multiple features and that it is a very quiet washer. The tub is huge and you can fit quite a bit in there. At first I was worried that the impeller feature would not clean or get all my close washed as earlier generations of impeller washers did. However, so far; I've been very impressed with it. All my close get wet, and all my work close get perfectly washed. I've yet to have my clothes end up in a ball or all twisted. At times I've even added the extra fill feature to the cycle. I did this just to test it out. I was impressed with how much water it filled up to. Understanding all the features and functions has taken a few washes to understand. However, overall its been pretty straight forward. Everything thus far we have been very pleased with. As a result, I would RECOMMEND the washer easily to friend's and family.

I like the deep stainless drum with no agitator style washers. No agitator in the center keeps from stretching and wearing clothes out faster, nothing to wrap jeans around and stretch them out too. The controls are all touch controls, and it has a center wheel for picking what style of wash you are running. There is no pointer on the center wheel, the light on the control will move to the setting you are selecting. I spent a few seconds looking for a pointer to tell me what wash setting I was on, but then noticed the light. It's pretty quiet. During the spin cycle it makes a good amount of noise as they all do but otherwise the wash cycle isn't bothersome. You can select from dozens and dozens on wash and spin combos on the panel, just set up your custom wash cycle and let it work. Adding soap and bleach is easy on the pull out tray. I regularly fill these to the top with mens work clothes and have no issue with everything getting wet and scrubbed. The high spin cycle will nearly drain the clothes for you, they come out really wrung out, it gets up to a nice high speed which saves time in the dryer. Overall a nice heavy duty washer with a huge stainless tub that can handle the biggest wash loads. Add in the 10 year warranty it comes with and I recommend it.

So far we are happy with this washing machine. We love the color options available. The washing machine is smaller than our old over all but the capacity is the same so that is a plus. Our clothes are coming out smelling great and spun out well. The controls panel on this washing machine is very easy to understand considering the amount of washing options available with this unit.

The old washer failed and we decided to obtain the LG 5 Cu. Ft. Top Load Washer in Middle Black. This is the first impeller washer I have used, and was apprehensive about it not having enough water to clean clothes adequately. However, after using it several weeks, I am pleasantly surprised with the LG washer’s ability to clean clothes. I expect the TurboDrum Technology is a big factor in achieving the good cleaning results with minimal water. It’s very quiet and has minimal vibration, unlike the old agitator washer. The control panel is very intuitive and easy to navigate. It comes with multiple cycles and the ability to select custom wash cycles. It has a detergent tray that automatically adds the proper amount of detergent for each load of clothes. I am looking forward to many years of maintenance-free use with this washer. The Warranty includes 1-year for labor and parts, 3-years for stainless steel drum and 10-years for the Direct-Drive Motor. Highly Recommended!!

Good looking with traditional styling and according to the installer lighter than some of the competitors’ similar offerings. I am not sure if weight makes a difference in quality/function, but since our laundry room is on the second floor it was easier for the installers to maneuver up the stairs including a tight initial left turn onto the stairs. These machines are not going to make you feel you are on the leading edge of styling and technology, but they look good and are intuitive to use. We really like the light black color which makes you feel like you have something modern rather than traditional white machines. We appreciate the features/options of the machine but will probably use the Normal setting while adjusting the water level depending on the size of the load. The controls are simple to use. There is a power button to the left of the center dial. The Dial-A-Cycle Control Knob allows you to select one of the (8) washing modes. The cycles include Normal, Heavy Duty, Deep Wash, Waterproof, Bedding, Delicates, Speed Wash and Tub Clean. To the right of the large dial are other options including Temperature, Spin and Soil which can be adjusted as needed by depressing the bottom of each of the features which cycles thru each of 3 available options. A nice feature is that the Direct Drive Motor has a 10-year limited warranty. Another nice feature is the Start/Pause button to the right of the cycle knob which allows you to add last minute items without losing your settings or restarting the current cycle. This can only be done when the “Add Garment Indicator” light is on. The Estimated Time Remaining Counter is also a welcome feature especially when you need to go somewhere but don’t want to leave the machine running unattended.

I love the LG Electronics line up, wife wanted a front loader washer and had it for over a year. But the hassle of keeping the tub clean and fresh was a pain, so she wanted to go back to Top Loader washer. Well this LG Electronic 5 Cu FT top washer has all the same setup as the front loader, and wash great it came in black to match the front loader dryer. Can still put the same amount of laundry in top loader, and the detergent fill up is right in the top inside rim. This LG washer is very quiet and after the spin cycle the clothes are really rung out so drying doest take as long, with all the same load options for different load and clothing materials, quick wash, and towel settings. Wife is loving this top loading washer, especially the quietness and still has the alert setting to notify when wash is done. Definitely would recommend the LG Electronics line up 5 CU FT BLACK TOP LOADING WASHER TO ANYONE.

Been using it for more than a year and always annoys and disappoint me, since 1st wash, the spin cyle keeps repeating, wasting too much water. Talk to chat support. Was asked to control water pressure, worked on not putting too much detergent, reseting the washer but nothing help. Don’t regret and find yourself another washer if you don’t want a garbage washer.

We replaced our old LG washer and dryer with this set. We have been very unhappy with the new set. Our old washer and dryer was so quiet but not this set. LG sent out a repair person to see why it was so loud and all they could say was sorry there’s nothing wrong with the machines, this model just runs loud. I asked if I could return them and get a more expensive LG model and was told no. I would NOT recommend this model!!!! Apparently they don’t care about happy customers.

This is my second LG washer the first one rusted away until I gave up on it. We were extremely careful with this second replacement washer, followed all instructions ! Still ended up with rust, I will never buy another LG washer.

Not enough water and if I have enough water it doesn’t agitate them well!!! I want my money back!!! I didn’t buy a machine to have dirty clothes!!!!

I can’t believe that LG is getting away with selling this washer. As another reviewer said it doesn’t wash clothes. There’s probably 1 inch of water in the washer during the wash cycle. If you use the deep wash cycle, the machine overflows onto your floor. The first washer was delivered December 8 used it and it overflowed all over my floor. LG replaced it with a second washer and it did the same thing. LG sent out a repair technician and they replace the water inlet valve. Guess what it’s doing it again called Home Depot and they could care less. You didn’t buy the extended warranty. Therefore you can’t return it.

After having my previous one for 23 years it was time for a new one. After two other choices which I returned for various reasons I picked an LG upon the recommendation of a friend. Wow what a difference! I’ve had this for about a month and so far it’s a dream. Even down to receiving an actual manual ( which competition didn’t provide)

I’ve had it for around a month now and it is very deep and washes really well! I was a little concerned since there is no agitator but it washes the clothes fairly well! I needed a bigger washing machine so I could wash bigger loads and not have to do so many in a day! This is great for bulkier items as well! Very happy I bought this and found it on sale!

We decided on this washer to replace an almost 10 year old LG top load washer similar to this one. We were very happy with the reliability of our last washer. Delivery went great and we did at least 10 loads over the weekend. It is pretty quiet while running which is a plus because it is located near our bedrooms. Hoping this washer will last 10 years like are last one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this two months ago, we are happy to have this machine.

I was concerned because I bought it in August but renovations took a while and only got to start using it in November but I have been very happy with it. I love the large capacity and the slow close top.

The units came last Saturday and delivery guys were awesome. While we were signing paperwork he put them through a test mode and I was SHOCKED at how quiet the washer was. You were seeing it move through the glass but it was almost silent.We have done about 6 loads since and they are awesome!!! The LG non agitator models DO CLEAN! Use the correct soap and load the machine correctly. Dryer also fantastic !

Owned for 6 months, I do not recommend. It does not clean clothes, towels smell like mildew! LG customer service is horrible. Have to use more product, more water and more electric to attempt clean clothes. I have actually had clothes come out that have huge dry spots on them. Must do small loads, still not wet or clean. You will be wearing unwashed clothes. My new washer arrives in 2 days and it is not LG.
