Makes an annoying high pitched noise on speed II that comes and goes. Obviously not tested at factory. Will be returning. I've had it for about 3 weeks and was hoping as I ran it that it would somehow go away (the noise). It otherwise runs fine. I purchased a supposedly US made product expecting it to run well and flawlessly. Maybe its just a one off. Will purchase the Commercial Electric product and see how that fares.

Generally floor fans such as this only last one or two years at our house due to dust, etc. Sometimes it is only a month or two. We went through two other branded fans from our local HD store last summer alone. One only last a week. We have had very good longevity from Lasko fans, including this model. We have had one for about five years now, which at our house is excellent. On hot summer days these are great for our critters, both indoor and out.

Plenty power, lots of breeze. Luv it. Got it for my dog, as he doesn't tolerate heat well.

Great fan. Strong airflow. We use on floor but nice option to hang if wanted. Price justifies the power of the fan. We’re using in the garage (600+ sq ft) and it really keeps the air moving.

It moves a lot of air and is reasonably quiet, even on the highest speed. We got it to supplement the AC by circulating the air in the house -- it works great and the AC doesn't need to run as much.

This might be a good fan for commercial use, but it is way too loud for indoor personal use. I was shocked how loud it was and decided to return it.

It’s a very good velocity on it’s highest setting. Putting it together was very easy. Just by it’s weight and appearance you can see it’s a very high quality fan. Very satisfied. UPS left it outside, where anyone could have taken it.

This fan is definitely powerful, moving a lot of air. I did read reviews mentioning it was loud but didn’t think much of it as I am used to using “noisy fans”. Unfortunately, it makes a very loud noise. It is a good fan but would recommend carefully thinking about where it is to be used.

No matter what speed I set this fan at, it had a high shrieking background noise. That was reason enough for me to return this fan. At this price, the motor should not sound like a jet plane taking off. I'm not taking any chances to see what else this fan might do that it's not supposed to be doing.

It makes a weird sound on the medium setting but other than that it's very pretty and sturdy.

Poor design, very loud humming noise when fan blowing. Almost like a bad motor to start with.

This was perfect for my home gym in my garage. I wanted a quality commercial grade fan and that’s what I feel I received with this product. Mounted perfectly at the top of my wall and I can feel the air clear across the workout area. Fit the bill exactly, can’t be more satisfied.

The controls are difficult to operate. The fan noise is very loud. It would be better used in a garage or large business area.
