Looked great for 1 month then falls off wall
I purchased this plastic wiremold to install a baby camera in my grandson’s bedroom. It looked great until it didn’t. All was installed on a clean surface wjich was painted 6 months ago. It lasted 4 weeks and the adhesive failed and everything came crashing down.

Cord cover is a little too thick
The cord cover is nice looking, and I didn't have to paint it. I think it is a little too thick, and if it were thinner it would be easier to cut and to insert the cord. When you peel the paper backing off, it is extremely sticky, so you can't reposition it. I got it fairly straight. It looks much better than the cord hanging there.

        Do NOT recommend
Not okay if you are using temporary or for apartments. This specific brand & the adhesive they used is too strong it ripped off my wall paint.

We are sorry to hear that you had difficulty installing and removing this product, but we thank you for taking the time to give feedback. Our CordMate adhesives are designed to be long-lasting for use on flat surfaces. Gently heating the adhesive with a hair dryer can help loosen the adhesive and make it easier to remove without damaging the product or your surface. If you have any additional comments or questions, please reach out to us at (844) 957-3783 from 8:00am-6:00pm EST, or e-mail: customer.support@legrand.us.
Insert cable and snap shut FIRST!
Read instructions carefully. You cannot snap this stuff shut once it is stuck to a wall. And you certainly can’t open it again if you want to replace the cable. Also, the instructions in the C10 package do not reference C10 at all, only C100/110 and C210/310. Date on instructions is 2013 so in 11 years legrand/Wiremold has not bothered to update them. On the plus side it has not fallen off the wall yet. I cleaned the wall with rubbing alcohol first.

We are sorry to hear that you had difficulty adjusting the channel after installation, but we appreciate you taking the time to give your feedback. The provided adhesive is certainly tough to work with once installed, but this lends itself to the long-lasting nature of the adhesive. don't buy it
Bought these after I did a fresh paint. They are the worst. Bad quality, stickers fall down and took off my freshly painted layers.

Cord Covers worked well with some bronze paint to help them match with their surroundings.
I needed to conceal wiring for an outdoor speaker installation, and because white and beige seemed to be the only colors, I wanted another option to blend in with my dark bronze screen porch beams. I purchased some bronze spray paint at Home Depot, and sprayed each section of the cord cover. When the paint dried and I installed the cord cover into the screen porch, the color matched perfectly and the install looks really good (IMHO).

              Screw
I was concerned with reviews that said that the Cordmate pieces came off the wall after some time. Even more so when I read in the instructions that came with it that it should not be installed on a "structured surface": my walls have a "roughened" type of surface. So I ran some tests. First, the double-sided tape at the back can *very easily* be pulled off the Cordmate plastic (pic 1). So I took two pieces of Cordmate, one with its own double-sided tape, and the other with it replaced by common 3M Scotch white double-sided mounting tape, and stuck them to a piece of wood. I let it sit overnight and then broke both pieces off the wood (pic 2). Note that the normal Cordmate piece, to the right, came almost completely off the wood, despite its weak adhesion to the plastic! I could now understand the reviews. The 3M tape largely stuck to *both* surfaces, and I already know that it also sticks well to my "structured walls". In addition, I wanted the option to take the Cordmate off the wall if in future I decide I no longer need the cable. So I sawed off the ends of the pieces of Cordmate to use under 45 degrees so that I could screw the ends to the wall (pic 3). (*After* drilling the holes, and *before* screwing the pieces down, I pressed the cord inside them. Closing the Cordmate is difficult, and reopening even more so.) I pulled off the useless double sided tape, but to keep the long piece from bending away from and along the wall, I put a couple of two-inch pieces of 3M tape in its place. (If removing the cord, these can be cut with a thin piece of wire and any remnants on the wall soaked in Goo-Gone I trimmed the 0.5 inch 3M tape to a narrower width using my old Westcott score-and-cut trimmer, pic 4). Finally, I applied some suitable Cordmate fittings to cover the sawed-off ends (pic 5).

                Terrible adhesive.
Do not buy this peel in stick product. It does not work with gravity. After hours of working on mine it only lasted a day. Super frustrating!

                  False Hope
I used this to hide an 18-2 cord on my screened porch. I cleaned the smooth painted metal frame with alcohol to ensure good adhesion. It looked amazing and the weight of the cord being nill, I thought, what a great product. Now a year later and I have this stuff hanging like swags all along the walls. No matter how well you clean the surface, no matter how lightweight the wire, no matter how dry the room, no matter how short the run, this stuff will come down by its own weight. If you want it to be permanent, you have to use mechanical fasteners. i.e. screwed!!!

                    wont stick to the wall
I purchased several of these covers in hope of hiding some wires. At least twice a day the covers fell from the wall. They do not stick to the wall for more than half a day.

                      WILL NOT REMAIN!
Look for something that can be reinforced with nails or screws! This is now falling off my ceiling and i probably cant return it.

                        Adhesive Warning
I attached this wire trace to the wall when I realized it wasn't quite straight. It would not come off the wall. When I did get a part of it loosened the wall paint and some of the drywall paper came with it. There is no forgiveness when it comes to the adhesive on this product. You'd better be happy where it's stuck because that's where it's going to stay. If you're reading this Mr Manufacturer, a little less glue so we can correct our mistakes or remove easily to another location Please.

                          Adhesive only lasted 10 days
Massive waste of money. Hung these to hide speaker wires in work space. Ten days later, all but 1 piece fell down, peeling paint in the process.

Great product for hiding ice maker water line
I used this product to hide the pex ice maker water line from under the cabinet to our refrigerator. I locked the channels in place after cutting them then just slide the water line through the channels before adhering them to the wall. It was hard to close the channels without the hose inside but it is easier doing it that way then trying to do it later. It did a great job hiding the water line. I really like how it turned out. It took me about 3 1/2 hours to do the work.

The product has a gap along its length to facilitate inserting whatever cable you're hiding, but getting it to snap shut is difficult. It requires an excessive amount of squeezing to get the hooked edges aligned so they can snap together (see the attached pic). I gave up trying and just installed it with the gap facing away from view.

Adhesive is much stronger than I expected.
I purchased some extra fittings to gold these to the ceiling, but these raceways have an adhesive backing that sticks to my textured ceiling much better than some reviews will have you think. They look great, easy install and no more complaints about wires on the floor.

A Must for Rabbit Owners to Know About (or Parents who are Childproofing)
I bought and installed one of these yesterday- it was not only faster to buy it at my local Home Depot, but it was actually a heck of a lot cheaper than the Amazon price, so win-win! It only holds one cord, but it's still very useful. My cable installer was a little careless and left cable wire out on the floor where my rabbit likes to play. That would be a bad combination, so I needed something to protect the cable from my bunny’s teeth. I'm giving this five stars because I absolutely love the product- it was simple to put my TV cable into the cordmate and it was simple to stick to the wall (it has a self-stick adhesive on it). This was much easier to use and much more aesthetically pleasing than the vinyl tubing that many of us rabbit owners use to protect our cords. It took me a total of five minutes to re-rabbit proof my bunny's corner using this system. That being said, using a lot of the whole cordmate/cornermate system is pretty pricey- I can't even fathom how much it would cost to do all the wires and cables in my living room with the cordmate and cornermate system. But if you're a rabbit owner who values your time over your money, then I would 100% recommend that you get the cordmate/cornermate system for your rabbit proofing needs. (Note: everything in this review about "rabbit-proofing" could apply equally well to a parent who is child-proofing and wants to avoid their toddler getting tangled up in/choking/strangling themselves in wires).

Worked absolutely perfectly for organizing the electric and data lines for security system!
I had the wife purchase two of these so that I could organize the network cable and electrical wires running to our cellular communicator for our new security system. This serves a dual purpose of both keeping the installation looking clean and organized as well as providing protection for the data/power lines running to the basement panel in the event an intruder tries to disable the system. The cord organizers come with a high quality foam backed tape which you remove the paper from to adhere it to whatever flat surface it will be mounted to. Then slip your wires/cables into the organizer through the open end on the side of the piece. For me, this meant I could put the open end facing the wall so no one can just yank the cables out.

Great product when you do not want to hardwire. Wonderful invention!
Wanted a light in kitchen in a dark corner. Got on Home Depot on line. Picked out a beautiful vanity light and the Cord Mate. Made a 5 x 7 x 1 1/2" box and lid. Secured box to wall with dry wall fasteners and screws. Painted Cord Mate and box to match wall paint. Cut an extension core and wired to new light. Drilled hole for mounting screw and put light up. Drilled hole in bottom middle of box and brought extension cord through it. Plugged in remote control. Hit the switch and I have the most beautiful light coming through the kitchen. Cord Mate made it complete instead of ugly cord hanging down. Get creative, use imagination and go to Home Depot. I love my new light and the Cord Mate made it look even better.
