Beautiful tile, but buy extra since many will break before taken out of the box.

Tile is absolutely beautiful, durable for a family, but does not match the pictures on the Home Depot website. Make sure to look through the reviews to see if it matches what you’re looking for. We installed ourselves which was back breaking but worth it. We chose our first tiling project to be a herringbone pattern and it came out (almost) perfect! Love it and highly recommend if you have a toddler :)

I had this tile installed in my bathroom, kitchen and dining area. I absolutely love how gorgeous it is. Each tile is different. The installers didn't put any thought into placement of tiles to spread out the design/texture and it still turned out gorgeous. Something to consider is that all the tiles do vary a little in height and size so your floor won't be even height and the grout lines/thickness will vary. Also, the tile is colder to walk on that other flooring. I used delorian gray grout.

This was a great, reasonably-priced slate. It is a little more difficult to install, but as long as you take your time, even a novice can do it. Just be sure to seal the tile before you grout!! Slate is super porous and the grout haze will be absorbed into the tile if it is not sealed first!! Seal the tile again after grouting. Sealing will also bring out the varied tones more and get rid of the chalky, monotonous look. Pictured is the Blue Montauk Slate with Rolling Fog grout.

Absolutely love his tile and how it turned out. The only thing I’d recommend from previous tile experience is buying an extra box or two in case there is some oddly colored or textured tiles as this is slate so it’s not a perfectly smooth flat tile

Love the look, but be aware there Is approximately a 1/8” variation in dimension between some of the tiles in all three directions. If you are concerned about lippage or variations in grout joints, consider ceramic. For the look of natural stone this is hard price to beat.

Extremely pleased with this purchase! The slate has a smooth finish with light texture / ridges you’d expect. I couldn’t find any good photos of the blue color, but the gamble paid off. Grout color is “dove grey” by TEC—also purchased at Home Depot.

This slate is beautiful. All the pieces are unique. Take your time installing so you can pick the best ones for the where they will be seen.

This slate is so pretty! There is a slight variety of colors and it all blends beautifully!

This is a very elegant yet professional look for a seating area of my office.

Looks fantastic. The tile was fairly fragile so I had several pieces that were chipped or broken that could not be used. Consider buying extra so that you have enough material to finish the project.

Their quite heavy, and the cutting wasn’t as easy. But the end result was totally worth it!

Some tiles are as thick as 1 1/2 inches, and some are as thin as 1/4 inch. Manufacturer and HomeDepot state "These tiles are natural stone and they vary in thickness and it is not possible to have a level floor" and have denied our claim to correct.

I used this tile for my shower area. It has been install for a couple of months and I’m so pleased with my purchase.

We have purchased 800sq of the Montauk Black 12"x24" tile. This is such an amazing product (so far) it was a third of what it would cost anywhere else. My installer did an amazing job and it looks spectacular.

Tile looks great and was easy to work with (my first time working with tiles). One tile came chipped on a corner but I needed to cut an end off anyways. I used a wet saw to cut the tiles and had no issues.

This slate tile is beautiful. The only negative is that the sizes are not completely uniform, so they don't lay down perfectly. One tile could be 1/2 inch wider on one end than the other.

From the ordering to the installation, all went well and I am thrilled with the results. It fits the mid century look of our house. We had linoleum over concrete previously. The tile setter we hired was amazing and used a tile leveling system to insure there would be no lippage on any tiles. I highly recommend this brand of tile.

Beautiful new flooring in the kitchen! I was worried it would be too dark but it looks fantastic with the new backsplash and original cabinets.

Stunning slate tiles. Easy to install. Arrived on time with no damage. We used a high gloss sealer at the very end that gave them a nice clean look

Tiles were gorgeous, no broken tiles in any of the boxes. Beautiful, natural variation in the coloring. We cut these tiles into 4x12 pieces to do a herringbone pattern in our entryway.

This tile is beautiful. We absolutely love it.

The color shown on the website (varied dark blue/green gray) is not the color of tile that I received. I ordered a sample and it is a flat gray with no color variation. If you are considering it, definitely get a $5 sample first.
