Nice saw. I have other Makita tools that use the same battery. Super long run times with fast charging. Tool quality is more than good enough for home use. Nice size and is comfortable to use.

The saw is nice and light. It’s compact enough to get it into tight spots. As you add pressure to the trigger, it seems to stair-step up the speed, rather than having a nice progression of increased speed. That’s not much of a problem. It seems great, but not in too heavy duty applications.

I needed lightweight and compact tools for doing quick fixes...
I needed lightweight and compact tools for doing quick fixes on site. This saw addressed exactly that. Stroke is a bit short so I wouldn’t recommend it it for a full day of demolition, however that being said it is up to the task.

Original broke after 1 minutes use and only solution offered...
Original broke after 1 minutes use and only solution offered was to send it off for repairs (4 to 5 weeks). So against my better judgement I bought another one because I had a urgent job to finish and so far so good.

Quite a bit more powerful than the Porter Cables they replaced and the battery life is much better.Makita is very good value for someone like myself who is more of a handyman.

Fantastic addition to my Makita 18v set! Compact is nice, initially I wanted a corded, but the random options that arise make cordless the way to go. Pretty quiet, not much vibration. I opted for this over a Ryobi that costed 1/3 the price.
