A Couple Drawbacks
I’ve had these for about a month. I’ve tend to need headlamps for hours at a time so having two of them is ok for me. No time wasted waiting for one to charge which is great! The first problem is that I don’t think I’ve managed to get the advertised 2 hours of runtime even once when it was on 600 lumens. The second strike came against the “heavy duty” micro USB cables. After only a month one of them is coming apart at the end. I don’t mind paying for quality because I hate hassels. Though Milwaukee is a great brand in many ways, hindsight is 20/20 and this light was disappointing. Hopefully my mistake can save someone else the trouble! Good luck.

    Nice ligh spectrum
Make it easy to see in detail for the older eyes. Sadly after 2 uses it would not turn on and nothing could fix it. Battery post was cracked, and the board was burnt up.

MILWAUKEE 310 LUMENS LED INTRINSICALLY SAFE SPOT/FLOOD HEADLAMP This is a very versatile headlamp considering the light options in beam or flood or both and it’s different mounting options it has a band for use on your head. A rubber strap for a hard hat and a dual lock adhesive that just mounts the light itself to a hard hat. I’ve used it while working on cars or boats. It’s done great for what I need. My favorite part about it is all the different light options it gives you once you find you like it keeps it even if you turn the head lamp off and back on its on the last setting you had it one. The strap for use on your head is well padded and doesn’t slip or slide around easy. I’ve used it for about 2 weeks for 3-4 hours a day and it’s still the original battery’s.

So, here we have a headlamp - really much like any others - what set them apart is features and Lumen output. It's features; 'up to 40-hours of run time and 5 output modes to help manage brightness and run time with 'rubber strap for hard hat use, a nylon strap for bare head use and Dual Lock adhesive enabling users to connect it directly to a hard hat without a strap - let's not forget the 4 clips for mounting to a hard hat'. 'Dustproof and water resistant with 7-position adjustable light head for directing light', 'Powered by 3 AAA batteries (included) and a Limited lifetime warranty'. There's the short of it, light output is great, in a dark room on spot or flood it's a bright crisp light and easy to change modes or tilt to adjust the light to your work. I use it as a head band, but with the rubber strap it could easily be moved from hard hat to hard hat or simply change straps and use it on a bare head, the head light just slips into or off the band. On flood output one could easily walk in the dark around ones home during a power outage or simply going out back to the shed. My use it from everything from automotive to household repairs, great for those under the sink jobs where holding a light or trying to fit one into the space along with everything else is near impossible. I could go on and on, just love these type of lights, but hands down it's a light that will follow your eyes direction as your head turns - no matter how many times - it's pointing the way yourhead is.

This headlamp is well built and durable. This is due in part to the hex screw and the right tight seal that is created on the battery door. There is also good use of rubber on the housing of the lamp. On top there are 2 buttons: 1 for on/off and the other is mode, which allows to cycle through low/medium/high for both the spot and flood lamps. The on/off is a circular button while the mode button is rectangular, so you can determine what you need to press just by feel. The headlamp provides wearable versatility with a rubber strap for use on hard hats and a cloth strap for use on my head. Also included is a hook/loop sticky type fasteners to attach it directly to a hard hat, but I haven't needed to use that yet. The light provided from the lamp is great as expected from such a quality headlamp. I also really like that it takes 3 AAA batteries, which means you don't have to wait to charge the lamp when it runs out of juice. It even comes with batteries! Oh, and the lights are very bright. I've used it with the spot and flood light on at the same time and it just illuminates everything in site making it great to use in whatever dark environment I'm in.

Milwaukee 310 Lumens LED Intrinsically Safe Spot/Flood Headlamp, Reds / Pinks review: Excellent! Over the years I have had several of this type of light and this is the first one that: is easy to use, puts out five (5) different types of illumination. It does use three (3) AAA batteries which are supplied. The lights direction can be changed in a vertical direction. The really nice thing is that you can change the intensity of the light! Well done Milwaukee. There ya go!

This is the brightest head lamp I have ever seen. With multiple different setting, there are lots of different options to choose from. The spotlight works well over 100 feet to light up things far off in the distance. Combine this with the flood option and everything you look at is well lit up. The flood option has multiple different intensity levels, from a nice soft light not to ruin your night vision to a very bright which lights up everything. The sturdy construction is easy to tell as soon as you pick it up. With multiple straps included its a great light for family camping trips to hard core dirty work. Given the power of the light, the lamp is lightweight as well and you almost forget its on your head.

This is an awesome headlamp. It comes with all the attachments needed to attach it to a hard hat. It even has a headband for your head in case you wish to wear it without the hard hat. The light itself is quite bright and has many different modes to meet your needs. You can have a wide spread beam, a direct beam, or both. And then there are different brightness levels. My only complaint is the alan screw you have to undo and redo in order to open the compartment for batteries. I would think you could just do a plastic clip, but its okay. I would recommend this lamp to anyone. Its durable and bright. It also comes with everything you need for its purpose.

This headlamp is serious. It is built to be super durable and rugged while providing super performance and function. The headlamp has two functions that can be used alone or together. It has a spot light or a flood light mode. It has 310 lumens of light with a 100 m beam distance in spot mode. It lasts up to 40-hours on low mode. Includes a rubber strap for hard hat use and nylon strap for bare head use. Also comes with dual lock adhesive for a strapless option to connect straight to a hard hat and 4 universal hard hat clips. It has a 7-position adjustable light head for directing light where you need it. Takes 3 AAA batteries which you need a hex wrench to access and change. Comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

Clearly a SAFE-INDUSTRIAL GRADE product and price. This being said, it comes with all the bits to install on a hardhat our wear directly on one ones head. The most impressive feature/function of this “head torch” is its lighting. It has five modes that include “broad”, “spot” and “combined”, ALL very bright! The lamp itself, as well as its straps, are also HIGH VISIBILITY/SAFETY colors It comes with a Lifetime Warranty (which if should for the price point). The only noticeable item of caution is the “Allen Wrench Screw” that holds the battery compartment closed. I noticed, if changing the batteries in “the field”, it IS POSSIBLE to drop the screw, possibly in an environment where is could be “lost”. Therefore, it is recommended to install/change batteries “ on a/the bench. It is a HIGH QUALITY product and a high recommendation is required in an industrial environment where safety is a concern...

Very bring headlamp with 2 different lights for a wide array of viewing applications. One light is a wide area light that can be set to 3 different brightness levels. The other is a spot that can be used in conjunction with the area light. Light color is slightly warm. It's easy to see when working with the light. It can be worn on the standard head strap, a silicone hard hat strap and it also has hook and loop fasteners for mounting on a hard hat. The design is similar to the Milwaukee 2104 headlamp except that this one also features certifications for use in hazardous locations.

Milwaukee 2004HZL Intrinsically Safe C I, II, III / DI Spot / Flood Headlamp – This item number is for the kit version of this headlamp…The kit includes headlamp, (4) hard hat clips, rubber mounting strap, nylon mounting strap, dual lock adhesive, hex wrench and (3) AAA batteries…This headlamp can be used / mounted in (3) applications, 1. Using the rubber headlamp strap to mount on a hard hat, 2. Using the nylon strap to mount to a bare head, 3. Using the dual lock adhesive to mount permanently on a hard hat…This headlamp has (5) modes of operation, 1. Spot / Flood Hybrid 310 lumens for 4 hours, 2. Spot High 155 lumens for 8 hours, 3. Flood High 235 lumens for 6 hours, 4. Flood Medium 155 lumens for 10 hours and 5. Flood Low 25 lumens for 40 hours…The headlamp performs as indicated, intended and expected with (1) major issue, the battery operating time is horrible, this headlamp will consume batteries at a rate of (6) or more per day when operated in the 310 lumens mode, operating the headlamp in the lower lumens modes to extend battery life does not make any sense…When working in a dark area while attempting to illuminate a hazardous condition such as electrical switch gear, 310 lumens or more is truly a benefit…Three versions of this headlamp are manufactured in a USB rechargeable format with up to 600 lumens in the Spot / Flood Hybrid mode…I tested this headlamp mounted directly to a hard hat without any problems except battery usage…If I were going to use this headlamp every day, I would purchase (6) high quality rechargeable AAA batteries and a the best rapid charger available, allowing for fully charged batteries all day operating at 310 lumens...

This headlamp is actually pretty bright and super helpful. I’m actually surprised how often I use it to keep my hands free. The kit is very nice it comes with a padded headband for it. It also comes with a rubber headband to go onto a hardhat and even some double sided stick material for a non milwaukee hardhat or other. My favorite thing about it is all the options and settings it has. It has four different bright settings and I mean this thing is literally bright. From my garage I could literally see across the street no problem. Great spotlight. The quality of the entire kit is very good and the lamp itself is LED which is great no bulb required. It’s not the normal Milwaukee red but it has nice bright green color and according to the package the band that’s rubber is the intrinsically safe one. It uses regular AAA batteries which is great because they are sold everywhere. I do home remodeling so it’s worked out great for plumbing, electrical work, and definitely in the automotive because I fix my own work trucks and vehicles. Definitely worth the money and recommend it to any tradesmen.

This is a very bright headlamp made by Milwaukee especially for hazardous conditions. This light comes with three mounting options based on your preference. You can mount it directly to your hardhat with the strong adhesive strips, or you can use the brightly colored rubber strap or the black nylon strap. I will be using this on my next backpacking adventure. It comes with 3 AAA batteries and is rated for 40 hours of run-time based on the brightness setting you choose. It has 5 different settings, one suited for whatever situation you are in.

This is an awesome head lamp. Not only does it have a really bright light, it also has a spotlight which shines even brighter in a focused area. You can also tip the light so you don't have to move your head into an odd angle to see. PLUS, it is water resistant. Great for crawling around the attic, camping, hiking and checking stuff out where the light just isn't so great.

This is perfect for my husband. He's always pulling out a work light, but now he can put on this comfortable headlamp and see just fine. In fact he turned to look at me with it on and it was so bright I had to blink! It's fully adjustable and he says it's very comfortable. I sure wish he'd had it when we painted our hallway, because it was dark and we had to use a worklight.

I got this for a slightly different than intended purpose. I have this on one of my bike helmets for night riding on unlit paths. I do have a bright headlight on my handlebars, but I also like a light that shines where my eyes are looking - not where my handlebars are pointed. I chose this for a few reasons. One being the IPX64 rating. It will hold up to dust and rain just fine. Also I appreciate this is high visibility. Lastly the attachment methods available. The rubber hardhat strap is great, but I think I will use the 3M heavy duty hook and loop attachment. The light output is good. It's not adequate in the dark when traveling at 15 to 20mph, however as a secondary light to illuminate my immediate area it is perfect

The Milwaukee, 310 lumen Model #2004HZL, is a compact, lightweight, and very bright high visibility definition headlamp. The triple “AAA” battery size headlamp is great to use either on the worksite, around the house and automobile, or for even camping and hiking. Since the head lamp is positioned on the front of the head, the adjustable headlamp positions a bright light wherever your head and eyes are pointed up to 100 meters and up to 40 hours of light depending on the mode. With the easy push of a switch, it features 5 different modes of pure LED (Light Emitting Diode) white light to meet your operational lighting needs: spot/flood, spot high, flood high, flood medium, and flood low. The headlamp is UL (Underwriters Laboratories) listed and rated intrinsically safe for Class I, II, II/D1 hazardous operating conditions. The Milwaukee headlamp kit includes the headlamp itself, a pair of male and female hook and loop self-adhesive mounting pads, 4 hard hat clips, adjustable lime green rubber head strap, black and lime green adjustable fabric head strap, 3 “AAA” batteries and a small hex wrench to assist in the opening/closing the battery compartment. The various attachment methods include: the headlamp securely mounts, via a hard hat fabric strap, to the front of a Milwaukee hard hat or to any other brand of hard hat by using the included self-adhesive hook and loop mounting pads or by using the adjustable lime green rubber hard hat strap. Or, you can also use the included adjustable fabric head strap for bare head use say when you are camping or hiking. By using any of these headlamp mounting methods, you will free up both hands for safety and for job use while still lighting up the area. All in all, this is headlamp (2 3/8” wide, 1 3/4" high, 1 1/4" thick), is a very handy and versatile headlamp to use, especially during a power outage or in poor or dark lighting conditions. Excellent!

I’ve had LED headlamps before but none with the features and functionality that this Milwaukee headlamp includes. It comes with three different ways to wear it - an elastic nylon strap for typical use on your head, a rubber strap for use on a hard hat, and a Velcro-like adhesive pad if you plan to use it exclusively with a hard hat. The features and safety ratings make it ideal for hazardous job sites, and the combination of lighting options makes it a great hands free option for anyone who finds themselves working in the dark (attic, outside at night, etc.). Three alkaline AAA batteries batteries last from 4 to 40 hours depending on the light combination and brightness level. The instructions specify alkaline batteries but I tried some rechargeable ni-cads and they work fine, although the light is a little less bright. A small hex key is required to open the battery compartment. It would be nice if there was a place to stash that key on the light or the strap, I lost it almost immediately.

Excellent headlamp. I run a few races a year, some of them at night with friends, and have been looking for a sturdy powerful headlamp for a while. This one is great and very bright. It has two lights: one is a strong spot headlamp which is very bright, and another is a flood lamp which has 3 elimination options (there is a 5th option of using the spotlight and the floodlight together). The lights are very bright (though not as bright as a flashlight, I think that's because it uses 3 AAA batteries (included) and not a built in/rechargeable lithium battery) and certainly serve their purpose. It is easy to change the batteries, though I do wish it was with lithium and not AAA (easier to recharge and replace). The headlamp is very comfortable to wear: there is padding where the lamp would touch your forehead and the strap is comfortable, strong and stays in place (does not loosen up like cheaper straps). It is not as light as some other headlamps I've used for running (so I wouldn't recommend it for long distances), but it is much more powerful so that's the tradeoff. The lamp also comes with hard hat clips (4) which I imagine would be helpful. Overall, very happy with this lamp - it is powerful, made well and is comfortable to wear; though I wish it had a rechargeable battery and was a little lighter.

I've been wanting a headlamp for a long time. This one works like a charm. I do not use it with a hard hat since I do not have to work in a dangerous site or anything like that. The headlamp stays on my head really well; not feeling loose and such. The battery on the back also helps to balance the lamp quite well. It's heavier than the lamp itself, but I don't feel any pulling forward/backward. There are 4 brightness levels; the dimmest is usable and the brightest level can blind me if I look at it directly. It's brighter than my 100 watt equivalent LED light bulb.

Works fine without a hardhat. The only problem will be hiding it from your "friends" that want to "borrow" it! Rechargeable using a micro-USB connector, and comes with a very heavy duty looking USB cable for charging. The head lamp has clips to attach it to a hard hat, but it also works fine without the clips directly on your head. I used it on my head (no hardhat) without the clips. The top strap is removable if you don't want to use it. The battery is in the "lump" at the rear of the light. The light can change tilt so you can adjust it to be pointing down or straight ahead. It does not change focus. The run time is pretty amazing - supposedly 25 hours on the lowest (eco) setting. Down to 2 hours on the very bright (600 lumen) setting. I think the feature I liked best is that it has a separate on-off switch and a hi-med-med low-low switch, so you don't have to cycle through all the choices like many of these things do (and then I always miss the setting I want!).

The MILWAUKEE 600 LUMENS LED USB RECHARGEABLE LOW-PROFILE HARD HAT HEADLAMP is a terrific product that solves the battery issue once and for all! I LOVE the idea that this is USB RECHARGEABLE which ELIMINATES the need for batteries and one charge will last a long time. I actually keep this near my nightstand because the power goes out on a regular basis and I love knowing that the headlamp is ready to roll at a moment's notice. The different light settings and the adjustable strap means you can use this headlamp WITHOUT a hard hat which is another plus.

Anyone in the trades using a hard hat, or even in need of a headlamp, will find that this headlamp works very well, providing high illumination of their work. I have had many headlamps before, but this is the best one I have ever owned. Once I opened the package, I found the headlamp strap just needed a quick & easy minor adjustment to fit my head. The head strap is 1" wide & made of a soft to the touch, but tough elastic material. It felt VERY comfortable on my head. The headlamp has two LED's, one for spotlight & one for flood light. They are controlled by a rectangular mode button on top of the headlamp unit. The round on/off button is next to it. Even in the dark it was easy to find & actuate the buttons on top of the headlamp. With each push of the mode button, the headlamp cycled through: spotlight, spotlight with high floodlight, high floodlight, medium floodlight, low floodlight. Conveniently, the last mode button light I chose, when I turned the headlamp off, was the first mode selection light that came on, when I used the headlamp again. The spotlight was very bright & cast a powerful beam all the way across my 55' long living room. The spotlight with high floodlight option gave the same powerful spotlight, with the floodlight perfectly filling in the rest of the room. The high floodlight, by itself, did a fine job of lighting up the room. The medium & low floodlight settings did a good job, when more light wasn't needed. The headlamp is attached to the headstrap by a bracket & hinge mechanism, that permits the headlamp to be tilted down 90 degrees in a series of 6 click down positions. Each position held solidly in place. The headlamp uses 3 AAA batteries that are included & already installed. The batteries are located in the headlamp unit, right behind the LED's & very easy to access. The headlamp unit fit nicely on my hardhat, without the included 4 hardhat clips. Besides all the things I use a headlamp for, ie: replacing a sink faucet, seeing in dark tight work areas, etc., I use it regularly to read documents, or work on tiny mechanisms, where more light is essential. This is a great Headlamp!

Up until now I've bought cheap head lamps that I've never been satisfied with. The Milwaukee 450 Lumens LED Spot/Flood Headlamp has changed that. 450 Lumens with a Spot/Flood, Flood High, Medium and Low and a spot light. The sweat absorbing microfiber head strap is comfortable on. It also comes with hard hat clips. I've worn it in the darkness of night and it certainly lights up the way. Gave one to my son and I'm sure he will put it to use. The pictures below were taken in a pitch black room.

This is yet another Milwaukee product that im reviewing and am very impressed by. This spot/flood headlamp comes with clips to fasten it to a hard hat but this will be going staight on my head instead. The strap is comfortable and adjustable. There`s a spotlight that`s very bright and works 295 ft out. The floodlight has 3 levels and on low light lasts for 26 hours which is incredible! Im surprised its battery operated and not the LED, last thing i need is finding out i dont have batteries during a power outage. Milwaukee makes their products up to a very high standard, the headlamp is water-resistant, dust proof and impact resistant -should last for years. 5 STARS.
