The ratcheting mechanism on these wrenches are the best I’ve experienced. Excellent quality. Impressed with Milwaukee’s mechanic tools.

Wow!!! Awesome set!
Love this set. This is beautifully designed. The etched labeling, and the embossed logo is brilliant, makes them easy to see and easy to feel to help indicate size and direction ratcheting is going. The case is great for storage, and the tool itself feels nice in the hand. I have tested out the open end on the battery terminal, but have yet tested the box end. I bought this while looking for a deal on Quik lok. Now the lawn will look terrible, but hopefully the car engine will run smoother .

    Blown ratcheting end.
11/16 ratcheting end blown out (See picture). This nut was taken off without almost any pressure. Ratchet is very new.

      Great Set of wrenches
I use these bad boys everyday at work. The arch swing cuts my work load and they look great in my box!

        Quality Control is an issue.
Poor quality control. There are tooling marks all over the wrenches and an obvious defect in the 22mm.

Do the people who Design these, actually use them?
Very nitpicky issue but the rack they come with is designed to hang horizontally. All the size markings are vertically oriented. The markings on the wrenches are vertical, no problem but the rack should be labelled horizontally since it hangs horizontal.

A couple of years ago I passed on my Dad's vintage Craftsman open end wrenches to my son who had purchased his first car. Since that time I've been using a backup set of 20 year old Husky wrenches but when these Milwaukee ratcheting combo wrenches went on sale I jumped on them. It was a good decision as they are built to last and feel "right" in my hands. The MAX BITE open end design provides a secure grip and the fine (144) tooth gearing and double-stacked pawls allow the ratchets to operate in the tightest of quarters (2.5 degrees arc swing). Keep 'em locked up or your friends, family, aquaintances and co-workers will walk away with them!

I have always been a big fan of Milwaukee power tools and I am just as impressed with these wrenches. The fit an finish of each wrench is impeccable. The size of each wrench is crisply stamped and ink filled on each end of the wrench on both sides. The I beam handle portion of the wrench has been well thought out from an ergonomic perspective. There is a groove down the middle of the handle while the edges are wider and rounded over. The handle is slightly wider in the middle and tapers slightly toward the ratchet and wrench heads. You pick up this wrench and it immediately feels good in your hands. The combination of features in the handle alone allow you to exert much more force on a stuck bolt without biting into your hand. The open end of the wrench features Max Bite which is supposed to provide 25% more torque. Two things that are noticeable about the Max Bite system are that there are small relief cuts in the wrench where the corners of the bolt head would normally contact the wrench. This allows force to be exerted on the flat portion of the bolt head vs the corners. A big plus, and I think that is how they get the increased torque as well. There are also some small grooves cut into the flats of the open ended head of the wrench. These work surprisingly well in preventing the wrench from slipping off the bolt. And no they do not mar the bolt head. The ratchet end of the wrench has a 12 point box wrench end plus a 2.5 degree arc swing. That's 144 clicks for 1 revolution. Perfect for getting into tight spaces. To reverse direction simply flip the wrench over. The caddie that comes with the wrench set is also well thought out, keeping the wrenches well organized and easily portable. If I could change would thing, it would be using Milwaukee Red ink to mark the size of each wrench vs black. You can't beat a lifetime guarantee. All in all another great product by Milwaukee.

These wrenches are excellent tools. I've been using them for a couple of months. The quality is top-notch and the combination of open-end wrench and ratcheting functionality is very useful to me. The grip on the wrenches is surprisingly comfortable. All-in-all a well-designed and manufactured tool. The "Max bite" grip on the open-end dramatically improves the wrench's grip on small nuts and bolts. When small fasteners are torqued on tight, I sometimes have difficulty getting them loose without rounding off the points on the hex heads. The max bite really increases the probability that I can get the nut loose without damaging the heads. The wrenches come in a very useful carrying case. I put mine in one of the drawers (22.25 wide x 16.75 deep) in my toolbox and it fits perfectly with the companion case for the SAE set (see photo).

These wrenches are excellent tools. I've been using them for a couple of months. The quality is top-notch and the combination of open-end wrench and ratcheting functionality is very useful to me. I bought a 1/2+9/16 combination ratcheting wrench a couple of years ago and I've long wanted to get an entire set. Now I have it. This Milwaukee's Ratcheting Combination Wrenches set comes with 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 13 mm, 14 mm, 15 mm, 17 mm and with a storage case. The 2.5 degree arc swings means you be able work in tight space to move the ratchet back and forth. The open end has a “Max” bite help grip improves getting those tuff bolt and nuts off. The wrench is label on both sides and at both ends to help identify what size the wrench is. The I-beam handle design is easy on the hand so you can get a better grip on the wrench to help get more torque than the standard type wrenches. It comes with a Life Time Warranty on the wrenches. A great product from Milwaukee!

I have been nothing but impressed with all my Milwaukee tools and this set of wrenches is no exception. They’re heavy duty and beautiful at the same time. They nicely fit in your hand and are very functional with the many ratcheting positions and the extra notch-out in the open end of the wrench. I have both the standard and metric sets and use them on a regular basis. I also really like the large ID numbers that allow you to see the wrench you want easily. I’m getting older and have to grab glasses so many times just to see what wrench I’m getting, no longer! They’re a little pricey but this will be the last set of wrenches like this you ever have to buy.

This Milwaukee 15-piece ratcheting combination wrench set is a great addition to my toolbox. These are definitely pretty beefy wrenches (see pic comparing one to it's same size non-ratcheting Mac counterpart), which is both good and bad - good because I want them to hold up to all sorts of abuse, less good because I do want them to be as light and comfortable as possible while holding up to abuse. My first real test of these wrenches came on a particularly rusty brake-and-rotor-replace job, they held up fine. My only regret is not ordering the matching SAE set.

These were a Father's Day gift for my husband, but we both love them. Makes using a wrench so much easier! They come in both Imperial and Metric Measurements. We went with the Imperial, but might invest in the metric for our bike and auto needs. They are a hefty price, but work much better and more smoothly than our previous smaller set that was only $30. These don't stick when you use the ratchet. Also there are 15 sizes up to 1 inch it makes it easy to find the size that you need. Super nice for getting to hard to reach places like behind or under a toilet. Also, when we put together our shed, it was nice to have these as you could not always see the nuts that needed tightening - so this was so much easier than having to place the wrench on and off multiple times. We also like that the set came with it's only mounting case - we haven't found a home for it, but it will soon be on the wall for easier access to the tools.

Milwaukee SAE Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set (7-Piece) What a beautifully designed and well-made set of wrenches. This 7-piece set includes a 3/8, 7/16, ½, 9/16, 5/8. 11/16, and ¾” size ratcheting combination wrenches. Each ratcheting box-end “clicks over” at just 2.50 (or 144 around the clock orientation positions) enabling you to work in very tight spaces. And the ratcheting action in reverse to tighten or loosen feels rock solid and strong due to their internal double stacked pawls. The “open ends” of these combination wrenches offer a maximum potential “bite” from a combination of small cross grooves cut on the parallel opening sides, small corner relief cuts allowing the edges of a hex nut or bolt to enter to ensure their fullest engagement, and a 60 degree “V” shaped center—also with the small corner relief cut (see photo). Milwaukee claims this gives you 25% more torque and I believe it. Surfaces are polished bright for comfort in the hand and “I-beam” grooved along their shanks for a more secure feel. Wrench size markings are red in color, and large and easy to read (the Metric size markings are in black), and appear on both sides of the tool. The carrying case is neat and has a tension lock to keep the wrenches in place. The metric sized (8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 17mm) size set that I also obtained are marked in black. The 12mm was a perfect fit (see photo) when adjusting my tractor’s alternator belt. But funny, I really needed a 9/16” size from the SAE set to loosen the overly tight alternator pivot bolt, even though the Kubota is supposedly all metric. So I am glad to have both sets. Milwaukee offers a lifetime guarantee on these wrenches. I am very happy with both sets—especially the 9/16”!

Funny I really needed the 9/16 size when adjusting my tractor’s alternator belt, even though this Kubota is supposedly all metric. The top tension nut was a perfect 12mm, but the overly tight lower pivot bolt was a 9/16 (see photo). So I am glad to have both sets. Milwaukee offers a lifetime guarantee on these wrenches. Nice!

Exceptional quality and durability that you expect from Milwaukee tools. The Ink-filled size labels help dramatically to make identifying the size of wrenches easier. I like the " Max bite " open-end that grips onto nuts and bolts better than smooth-faced wrenches. I have used this set for at least a half dozen different tasks including connecting a brass plug to a pneumatic air blow gun and swapping blades on my table saw. This 15-piece set come in a red plastic tray that fits nicely in the top draw of my Husky rolling steel storage unit. The metric set has a black tray for quick distinction between SAE and metric sets. The four star rating instead of five stars is because they are priced on the high side but quality tools do not come cheap.

I had not upgraded my wrenches for 25+ years, after all they came with a lifetime guarentee and they were in good condition. But as I started a minor repair on my Mazda, I found the tight quarters difficult work with them. I was wandering around HD and saw these ratcheting wrenches and thought I'd give them a try, I could always take them back if they didn't help. Well color me impressed, the ratcheting made it so much easier to navigate in the tight quarters. They literally cut the disassembly/re-assembly time by more than half. The movement of the wrenches is nice and smooth, and they come in a nice case to keep them organized in one place, I so need help in keeping my tools where I can find them. Highly recommended, for the price they are a REAL step up, and time/nuckel saver in tight spaces.

Milwaukee’s ratcheting wrenches offer some unique features and a level of quality on par with professional brands. Their strengths include a dual pawl design that gives 120 positions and an insane 2.5 deg swing arc, letting you get the fastener moving in the tightest of places. The chrome is impeccable. They have rounded edges on the bar and a groove along the length of it which both offer nice grips and are easy on the hands, if a little more difficult to hold onto with greasy hands. The open end has teeth and ridges for excellent grilling of fasteners without rounding, while a cutout makes lining up a fastener easy. They are non-reversing and therefore do not offset on the box end. They are also standard length, but comparable in price to the GearWrench XL. Finally, they are manufactured in Taiwan to Mulwaukee’s typically exacting standards. My only issue wasn’t with the wrenches themselves, although a couple of the ratcheting mechanisms were a little stiff and less smooth than the others. The initial shipment was misting two of the wrenches. However, Home Depot and Milwaukee took care of it promptly. These being a new product from Milwaukee’s Taiwan manufacturing, I’m sure Milwaukee will straighten this sort of thing out. All in all, an excellent first effort at the Ratcheting Wrench market for Milwaukee, if a tad on the high end price wise. Even so, buyers of these wrenches are likely to feel they got their money’s worth.

A stunning set of quality ratcheting wrenches with many ease of use features. Wow! What a beautiful set of wrenches. I have both the Metric and SAE sets, and this review covers either. They make a good pair with the SAE set in red lettering, and the Metric set in black. There are so many good things to get say, so let’s get going. First, as mentioned, these make a good pair if you get both the SAE and Metric. The sizes are in engraved colored lettering that’s easy to see and easy to determine which type. The cases can be paired back to back as they lay in your tool drawer. So for starters, you can grab the right wrench for the job. 15 wrenches in either set allow for a good range of sizes, including some of the odd-ball sizes in the SAE version you never seem to have. Beyond that, they just have a good feel in your hand, with a good degree of heft for the larger sizes. The open end have some teeth to them to grab the fastener head. The ratchet is a thing of beauty, with a very small arc swing. It says 2.5 degrees for the large sizes, and 3 degrees for the smaller sizes. YES! I have been so frustrated by my old ratchets that required 10 degrees of swing. This small arc is really important as it seems everything these days is in tight spaces. Milwaukee continues to impress me with their tools, even as they have had to offshore some of the manufacturing. These sets are made in Taiwan without cutting quality. These are great high end homeowner tools that a pro would gladly use too.

Oh so Milwaukee beautiful! The nicest set of wrenches I have ever used. Beauty is only the beginning – these wrenches are extra functional. The length of each is an extra jaw size longer than my old wrenches so more leverage. The jaws are shaped so the hexagonal bolt or nut is fully supported on 4 sides and grooved to help grip and avoid rounding and slip out (see photo). The ratcheting box end works in 2.5 degree increments (think 144 clicks per revolution) that make working in those seemingly impossible tight situations possible. That also maximizes every stroke in less confined places. The smooth polished finish is easy to clean and the rounded I-Beam body fits the hand comfortably and provides easy gripping. The size is clearly marked on both ends and both sides and ink filled. The storage rack is clearly marked to indicate home for each wrench and SAE and Metric racks are designed to nicely fill a single tool chest drawer.

As anyone who has ever worked with a wrench knows, some spots are so tight that getting a wrench or socket on the bolt head or nut, is extremely difficult. On the other hand, some locations will accommodate a box end wrench but not a socket. In this second case, having a ratcheting box end makes the job much easier. The Milwaukee 15 piece set of box/open end wrenches covers nearly all the SAE sizes likely to be needed in the one inch and under range. A comparison of the ratcheting heads with two other brands of the same revealed that the overall size of the Milwaukee heads is actually slightly smaller than the comparables. The open ends of this set appear to be precise in size and designed for effecient use. Each wrench size is painted on both ends in contrasting color making it easy to identify.

These feel very good in the hand. These wrenches seem to be well-engineered, making them a good tool. I like the MAXBITE open end. This should give a better "bite" with less possibility of slipping and rounding off heads, and, as the info says, 25% more torque, The storage carrier is well thought out, and makes a good way to keep them organized without falling out.. The carrier is also marked with the sizes, making it easy to grab the right one. The ink filled sizes on the wrenches are well marked and very easy to see. I couldn't really feel the 2.5 degree arc. It seemed like it took that much after catching on the pawl before it would turn the nut, bolt, etc. I'm not sure that this small arc is all that important. 5 degrees seems to be fine for me.
