    Turned my stone highlighter yellow
This product ruined my entire backsplash. After applying it per the directions, the next morning I woke up to a backsplash that was irreparably damaged due to bright yellow staining. DO NOT USE ON ALASKA GRAY TILES (sold at Home Depot)

I'm and stone and tile expert
I've been a atone and tile expert for over 2 decades. I am often hired to figure out the issues of a surface and resolve them. I am also an expert consultation who has provided expert witness testimony services. This is one of the worst products (next to crystallizers and waxes) that people and installers commonly use and it costs so much for people as it requires to be stripped it off and refinishing the surfaces that are able to be resurfaced.

Let's see what we can figure out. Miracle Sealants 511 Impregnator is a penetrating sealer, it is not a film forming sealer. Apply 511 as directed on the label, allow to remain on the surface for 3-5 minutes. All excess must be removed at this time by buffing the surface with a clean, lint free rag. This step is very important, as removing excess sealant is necessary for all substrates. Do not allow 511 to dry on the surface.

        Grout turned yellow
I followed the instruction carefully. It’s been 2 months since we applied the product and the grout looks yellow and not white anymore. We don't ever use this particular bathroom (guest bath). This is a brand new house… How do we remove the yellow stain on our grout?

        Response from Rust-OleumSupportJan 25, 2023
Thank you for reaching out! If the grout was sealed using our Miracle Sealants 511 Impregnator Sealer, the discoloration may be on the surface, and cleaned easily. The sealer remains in the surface, preventing staining in the grout, and making it easier to clean. If the yellow discoloration is not able to be removed, please give us a call at 800-350-1901, and we will be happy to help! Rustoleum

Dramatically changed the color of the stone
This product will dramatically change the color of your stone. Please see the attached image. I'm not sure why they say that it will not alter the natural look. This is Picasso ledger panel from MSI Products. This is one coat. The Picasso ledger panel is travertine stone. This totally changed the color to something not even close to the original. Not what I wanted...

              Obviously great so far
Just sealed a porcelain, sanded grout and concrete coping back yard. The installer clearly missed some areas but this makes for a great “a vs b” review. As you can see in the picture pool splashes bubble up in the treated areas and just absorb in the untreated concrete areas. I wasn’t sure this would penetrate the porcelain tiles but it did fantastic there so far. The tiles needed a little wipe down 20 minutes after application and now they are also repelling water.

I followed the instructions exactly. Tried a test area, it was fine. Applied, buffed off. There was a haze. Reapplied. Buffed. Reapplied, buffed, MANY times and still this white haze. Help!

That is not what we like to hear! Our Miracle Sealants 511 Impregnator Sealer should be buffed to remove it from the surface after 3-5 minutes; if it is left longer, it may dry on the surface, creating a haze. Please give us a call at 800-350-1901, we want to gather more information about the application, and try to make things right. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2 Rustoleum

Thank you for reaching out! Our Miracle Sealants 511 Impregnator Sealer is not a surface coating, and will not alter the natural look of the surface. After applying the sealer, all excess must be removed by buffing the surface with a clean, lint free rag. This step is very important, as removing excess sealant is necessary for all substrates, and sealer left on the surface may cause hazing, tackiness, or color differences. To reactivate sealer left on the surface, apply an additional application of 511 Impregnator, or Mineral Spirits, then buff thoroughly with a lint-free rag. For harder surface materials made from stone, #00 steel wool may be used to more easily remove the sealer residue from the surface, followed by buffing with a cloth. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2 Rustoleum

Lasted a week, won't use again
Read all the reviews and prepped my patio tile accordingly. Applied 511 and buffed per the instructions. It lasted about a week, had full bead water sheeting. Now with continued rain, it wore off. Won't be using this product again.

That is not what we like to hear, Mike! Since our Miracle Sealants 511 Impregnator is a penetrating sealer, it does not remain on the top of the tile to bead water, though it continues to work in the tile itself, preventing water and stains from penetrating deeply into the tile. Best product out there for grout sealing
I used this for 400sqft tile project and it has worked excellent to keep our grout sealed and cleanable. This is a lot of product, I will also use it to seal our granite countertops and will still have plenty left over.

                          Now the floor is protected
It says Sealer because it’s NOT just for grout. I sealed both tiled bathroom floors - ALL OF THE FLOOR. 2 coats. Did the water test- beaded up nicely. I also sealed my tiled shower stall floor- also beaded up nicely. But more importantly, it didn’t make the floor slippery!!

I used this sealer and tested it if can withstand stains , it did . I applied food color and dye after I cured the sealer and kept it for 24 hours Next day just cleaned it with water and cleaned it effortlessly . I would recommend Any one this product if you want to protect your tiles and grout from any spills .

I know it has been a long time since I used this product (about 10 years) and I have tried everything to remove the sealer. I finally found a product that will work, and it is going to take a lot of work. I would not normally write a negative review after this long, but they indicate it will not yellow. Well mine did and it looks horrible. The eight years that it looked good is not worth the time and effort it will take to fix it.

Used this on my grout joints in my new porcelain shower project. Most experts said that the porcelain tiles themselves don't need to be sealed and since this product is so expensive I wanted to come up with a way not to waste it by covering the tiles as I did the grout joints. I ended up using a sponge type paint brush that fit perfect in my grout joints and then just wiped off any excess that got on the tile. Gave it 2 applications. Very happy with the product.

Just applied this last night, so not sure how good it is. This review is for what NOT to do. Instructions say you can use a paint brush. DON'T even think about it. After doing about 25 sq. ft. of my shower wall, the hairs on the brush just started disintegrating. Not sure of the material. Nylon? Here's a photo. They came out one at a time and in clumps. Then I had to find them all before doing the floor. Changed to a sponge and that worked OK. Use with adequate ventilation. This stuff stinks to hi heaven.

This is the best sealer I've ever used. I recently just finished a project using natural stone mosaic tile. First time I sealed the fireplace tiles with it before grouting and everything went well. Wipedown went smooth as silk. Next I did the backsplash in the kitchen with the same natural stone mosaic tile and didn't seal before grouting because the grout was white and wouldn't stain. Big mistake. The grout didn't stain, but the in sealed tile sucked all the moisture out of the grout making it hard to get into the joints. Then the wipedown was harder to do because the group adhered to the face of the tile. Lesson learned. Always seal stone before grouting. Use 511 Impregnator Penetrating Sealer and you'll be glad you did.

We own a detail finishing construction company. We use this product for all of our new home owner sealant calls. I used it in my own home a year ago and the floors are still being protected. Adds shine, prevents dirt from grinding in, and you do not have to mop as often.

I used 511 to seal all the grout in my large shower. It installs easily with a small tinning brush from the plumbing dept. I tried one of those plastic roller bottles but it was difficult to control the flow and made a mess. I put two coats on all the grout on the large highly polished walls and the mosaic floors. You have to pay attention to the product drying on the polished tile; you have to wipe and polish with a clean towel. If 511 drys o n the surface a little liquid on your towel will remove it. The mosaic does not show any surface drying issue even though I really flooded the floor to keep my hard water from staining. The 32 oz bottle did the shower with 17 feet of wall and a 6X7 mosaic floor with some left over for my other baths. I will do my plank tile kitchen floor too to keep the grout from staining
