Product was as advertised and easy to assemble. Steel ring goes all the way from top rim all the way down to base. I did use a concrete adhesive for the very top ring to keep it from moving around. Have had multiple fires and it works great. Height is just right.

It is a good looking kit and I chose it because it was nicer than anything in any local store... however, it arrived with 3 bricks cracked that now need to be replaced. It came on a pallet and shrink wrapped from the factory, I opened it right away when the delivery company was still here because I had read reviews of them arriving broken. Glad I did.
Now to start the process of trying to get the pieces replaced.... ugh....
Otherwise I'm very excited to get it installed and finish our patio project.

broken on arrival
Decided to do store pickup because free shipping was not offered. When I got it home I started to unwrap it and it had several cracks in several blocks and had to return the product. Hoping we can

good enough
I received the product, packaged good, but still had cracked top ledges. 2 of them were cracked through. It was not worth complaining about, since they would have to pick up the whole product and schedule a whole new delivery. The issue is more with the quality of the product, not Home Deport or the delivery company. Overall I like it a lot! it looks great and even with the cracks I would buy it again. I like the look of it compared to other kits on the market. I did glue down the top ledges. If not, i could see them falling off rather easily. It is worth the 5.00 for the cement glue. For the price of this kit, it is still a good buy and very easy to put together.

Broken
One of the capstones was broken in half when I received the shipment. I contacted both Nantucket and Home Depot. Nantucket sent out a replacement, the replacement was also broken in half. I recontacted them and they sent out yet another which was intact , but the color really didn't match ( different batch upload I guess). After dinking around for a month I gave up and hope the colors will march better with age. Home Depot was hopeless, they wanted me to send back the 1800 pounds of concrete I had already moved to the site in the woods. Thepallet it came on was busted and I had already disposed of it, not like I could just stick it in a box. This was unfortunate because I like the firepit, it's heavy , looks good and has a heavy duty steel fire ring.
If it weren't for the broken parts, I'd probably give this a 5 star

Hardest Part was Unloading It!
Very easy to put together. The area we put it was already level with patio blocks. Took longer to unload the truck and carry it the area where we were putting it. All in all about a half hour to complete. One of the top stones was cracked and Home Depot was quick to replace! I rented the Home Depot truck which was awesome!

Great firepit
This kit is well worth the price. Very easy to build, just make sure you have a level base and make sure 1st course of block are level. I put ours in front of the house, I dug out the grass and leveled the area with 3/8" stone that I used in driveway extension. I had 1 problem, the whole kit is on a pallet shrink-wrapped. I wanted to take shrink-wrap off to see if any blocks were cracked, but then the blocks would move around while driving home. So I inspected as best I could and left the wrap on. Sure enough 1 top ledge block was cracked as you can see in picture. I called home depot and they said no problem will just swap it for uncracked on demo. I haven't done that yet as the store I bought it from is 45 minutes away. But, other than that we love it. Built it Friday and had fire fri and sat night!

Good kit, but......
So I purchased this kit even after some reviews mentioned poorly fitting stone pieces. My patio is level! Checked and re-checked so that is not the problem! Some of the pieces(formed concrete) are not straight and have some variation in the height of each piece(warped) which causes the finished fire pit to need shims under the pieces to make it level. As a matter of fact when I removed it from the pallet the factory had shimmed a couple of the pieces with wood to make the pit look level on the pallet. I think for $600 the pieces should all be level and even. There needs to be better quality control at the factory or better molds for the concrete! There were also pieces that had chips missing. Otherwise this is a complete kit and comes ready to use with a steel ring and sand. I will also say that the gray variegated does not have as much variation in color as the tan variegated does which makes the gray kit look just a lighter gray than the gray kit. I would only recommend this to someone if they fixed the levelness of the pieces. You should not have to shim a brand new 600 dollar fire pit!

Bad news, don't buy it
I purchased this fire pit last year, June 2013. A contractor friend of mine picked it up and put it together. The pieces did not line up well at all. He had to use multiple shims to try and get it level. He also used a masonry cement to try and keep the pieces in place, something the manufacturer says is not required. That loosened up after the third or fourth fire and pieces rocked back and forth. We used the pit most recently a few weeks ago. It may have been due to the cold weather but the top ring of the pit cracked in multiple places. These concrete section are not reinforced, and are poorly formed for a factory made product. This is definitely not worth the money.

Product looks nice.
Product arrived on a palet, fully assembled. (Sand was in bags) Disassembly and reassembly took about 15 minutes. I placed on a concrete slab so leveling the base was not an issue. I rearranged the sections a few times to get the best fit. Top cap will need landscape block adhesive to secure it in place. For the price I would have thought the adhesive would have been included. Too pricy in my opinion but I am pleased with the final product. For this price they should have also included a fire iron.

This firepit kit is amazing!
My husband and I ordered this as a wedding gift for ourselves, as we have been wanting a nice firepit since purchasing our home in January. When we purchased it, it was actually half of what it costs now, which was an amazing deal. I see that it has gone up more in price now, but I still say that it is worth it. It is a tad bit smaller than I had imagined (even with the measurements listed, I still envisioned bigger), but the quality and look of it are amazing. The online rep that I spoke with to get it ordered and shipped to our local store, even commented on how it was beautiful and looked like a much more expensive firepit, as did the store clerk. Overall, we are very satisfied with this product. =o)

Pretty, but not great
I love the look so this fire pit. It matches the stone pavers we used perfectly and is a nice addition to our new patio. Unfortunately, they are not level, and the top ledge was incredibly wobbly and would not make a flat surface all the way around. We had to use concreate slivers chipped off the patio pavers to level it as best as possible, and use a concrete adhesive to hold it in place. There was no option to not seal it together. Still, overall it turned out pretty well. Until it get's cold my son is using it as sand pit to play in.

Great firepit
Arrived as scheduled on a wood pallet. Took about 15 minutes to haul everything to the back and another 15 to assemble. Love that it came with a ring and sand. Some of the stones were chipped on the inside, not a big deal as the ring hides it but the stone is definitely fragile. Once the fire is going, it definitely heats up a decent amount of space, I'd say 3-4 feet around. Looks like I spent a lot more money than I did, I would recommend this purchase.

Uneven stones
The stones are badly uneven. There are large gaps between them. The stones themselves are irregular, and do not lineup evenly.

Poor quality of blocks
The blocks dont fit well, so there are large gaps between joints.
The smooth top/side of the blocks are NOT flat. they have a crown to them, in and out, and left to right, so when you get to the top cap, it doesn't sit flat, it rocks. Plus the blocks slope in to out.
I will have to shim and mortar to make this junk presentable.
Go for a kit with smaller blocks... Not this kit, unless you want to spend hours adjusting, shimming, mortaring.
I would have been better off with a truck tire rim
