I received this bare root tree shortly after ordering it...
I received this bare root tree shortly after ordering it and followed the instructions on holding it until it was time to plant it. I used a high quality potting soil to plant it in a large hole and watered it regularly. It was not my first fruit tree. The only green it showed was a short leaf sprout that came out above the graft and after several weeks of not growing more, it fell off.
It looked like a great bare root tree that would have been perfect had it grown.

I found out after delivery that this tree is for northern, cold climates. Why is Home Depot also selling this tree in southern, warm climates?!? I now have a tree that will never bear fruit unless I graft another variety onto it.

Arrived on time. It was a bare root good size diameter sapling, but it was too severely pruned! There were no buds that I could see, and after more than a month in the ground still no growth. Not good. I have kept it watered as with other bare root fruit trees I have experience with. The "scratch" test showed green under the bark, but no bud growth observed.
Will ask for a refund.

Only the rootstock is shooting. I hope that the top will throw some shoots. I have ordered other trees before and most have sprouted ok. Just this peach and the lapins cherry have been disappointing, sprouting low on the trunk.
