Thank you for reaching out to us. The Paslode cordless tools have a lockout feature to prevent blank firing and serve as a reminder to reload. This bar engages at the last 7 or 8 nails of the strip and you can insert a new strip directly behind them. There is no need to remove the nails unless changing the length or style. Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience with our product did not match your expectations. There are both 20 degree and 30 degree tools and fasteners on the market, and tools will only operate with the correct fastener. Paslode 30 degree nails will not perform in a tool with a different angle designation.
